I live in az. where you dont see old towns like that, I just love all the old houses. When a building gets old here they tear it down , its sad. That was such a beautiful old town
Gorgeous town. Loved the grand old Victorian houses. The tea room was beautiful with all of the china. I loved The Barber Chorus Singers too. Wonderful to experience another part of the world. Thankyou. Mich
Hi Sophia. What a delightful town. I love the old houses. They really are beautiful. Anything to do with history and antiques, Count me in. Thanks so much for taking me along xxx
The Barbour Shop Chorus was my favorite part! Love to hear a good group harmonizing so beautifully!!! Thanks for the tour! And....the giant rubber ducky was adorable!! And....lol....those windchimes with the mason jar, beads, and silverware! Gotta make one!!!!!!!!
waouh what a pretty town with all these beautifull victorian houses and this tea house is so gorgeous thank you for make me know all these...can't wait the part two
Thank you Sophia for taking me, as you said, somewhere I will probably never get to go. So enjoyable, loved the tea house. The second hat really suited you.!! Your choice of music also suited the Vlog. Thank you.
I would of so bought those glass pumpkins. My mother and I are venders at farmers markets through the summer and also travel throughout our province to sell at craft fairs selling needle felting art and jewelry. So, it was nice of you to highlight each vender's work. Great video! :)
I live and grew up here in Flemington! So neat to hear how You describe it & the video really makes it look even prettier! I drive up & down Main St. several times a day since my parents live on that side of town. I did an oil painting of the Union Hotel (which by the way, we are trying to SAVE) & Courthouse across from it It's where the Famous Lindbergh Trial was held. There are many Art Subject opportunities here! Absolutely Love Teaberry's and go as often as possible & the owner is my Mary Kay customer too! The food is amazing & it's always a treat to go for lunch or tea & visit the carriage house shop! It's a wonderful experience! Thanks for this video..I was surprised to see it in my email You Tube videos feed! Check out Nicola's Pizza in Califon too! Delicious Pizza & Italian food!
+Joanne Braun that s awesome! Did not even notice the courthouse, I was too busy filming and taking it all in. We plan on making another trip to actually have tea! Good for you selling MK, I gave up my team was not supportive at all, they were quite awful to be honest, never made a dime, but I love the products.
Oh my goodness - that town qualifies as 'Sophia Heaven' - especially the wonderful antiquities in the tea room! Is it a hotel too? Maybe you could stay there sometime. Your boys are so sweet and well behaved (all THREE of them, lol!) What a lovely day out. Hope the new job is going really well. Best Wishes.
Thanks for taking us along with you - you will definitely have to go and have a cream tea there, wish I could join you!! Had to laugh at Scott's comment about the Carpenters! It's really nice to see some of small town America, I'm sure you were in your element in the china shops. Lorna UK
Absolutely loved, loved this video and the Teaberry Tea Room! NJ is beautiful and has the same wonderful Victorian architecture that New England has being so very close to us here. Wish I could have been there and what a beautiful day for a day trip and apple picking! I'm going to have to look for those Empire apples too. Spring and fall are my favorite times of the year and especially Autumn with all of the fall festivals. We are simply going to have to get together one of these days. Thanks for sharing this with us, great vid Sophia. :)
+Terry d if and when you come to visit, you and I are going to Teaberry to have one of those conversations where we sear everybody we can't stand to a crisp...then we ll feel better and we can shop!
+My Great Challenge Now that's the way I like to roll. *grin* Great minds think alike and yes, we do have some fish to fry don't we. Lolz I just hope that I'm not a bad influence on you and Scott kicks me out. :)
The Teaberry Tea House is certaintly the right color--the color of the Teaberry gum! The Christmas tree hung upside down goes back to the Missionaries when they believed the tree should be special representing the Trinity and not just an ordinary floral decoration and so they hung it upside down. How pretty that one was. .
That was awesome sophia - when I go there it's normally for the less picturesque shops - like if I need something at the flemington dept store, etc. Although I did go to dinner at the union hotel a few years ago - it's a pretty historic place and some people say, haunted (didnt notice anything ) * First constructed by Neal Hart in 1814, it served as a gathering place for well-to-do stagecoach passengers and socialites throughout the 19th Century, as well as many local characters and tourists visiting the area. The exterior of the present building dates to 1878. It gained national notoriety in the early months of 1935 when the trial of Bruno Hauptmann was conducted directly across the street at the Hunterdon County Courthouse and members of the national media covering the trial all stayed at the hotel.* I think I saw it in your video but not sure - have to rewatch it PS The bathtub full of hats was spectacular - but wow! Too many lovely teapots there - too much temptation!
+Tracy Reinhardt I know, when I go back, I am taking a cash envelope with me, I want a tea pot with its cozie and some of their teas as well....may I win the lottery one day and I ' ll just buy it all!
interesting but imo you should have taken us inside the Hunterdon County Historical Society building 1:50 or told us a bit about the railroad company 0:46 who linked Flemington to ??? .... nice place ... 15:00 .. wow US Patriots... takes it all back to the Flemington battles of 1776 when the Fleming and Biggar were in the area... methinks some of them sided with the British and went north towards Hamilton ( Upper Canada ).
thanks for making the video tho!! nobody knows where this town even is!! let's see if the union hotel is boarded up yet . ...looks too new now actually yep all boarded up ...the creepiest church got an extra view...smh was this during that church festival?!
