    1- vulnerability / authenticity = willingness to introspect, to be more honest with yourself 0:39
    2- expose yourself to good pointings
    (videos, books, people ...) 2:47
    3- self-inquiry (let the narratives go and fully immerse in "who am I?") 4:30

      The fact that the author heart-reacted to every other comment except for your very useful comment here seems rather conspicuous. It suggests to me that the author may do well to apply “willingness to introspect” here and vulnerably ask himself why

      @@bubblemath I see where you're coming from, but maybe he just disagrees with the idea that all the content should be in the description. I do think enlightened people still have likes and dislikes and maybe he's just honest with himself and others. We all chop our wood in different ways. He creates content and puts careful thought into how to lay out that content for others. Nothing deceptive going on there in my opinion.

    It really feels to me a lot like when you're first learning how to swim and that moment when your feet is off the ground that's like awakening, and then learning how to float and relax the body that's shadow work. And then eventually it feels like second nature, totally automatic.

    4 step is stop watching videos and reading books about this stuff. How many time do you want to spend by listening and reading the same again and again? There is never ending list of videos and books about awakening and you can spend all your life by watching and reading all that Maharishis, Oshoes, Spiras Tolles and so on...Life is short. You are awakened already, right now, you are IT!!! NOW. REALLY!!! YOU ARE IT!!!

    • @SimplyAlwaysAwake
      @SimplyAlwaysAwake  2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Indeed, once perceptual filters have fallen, the sense of time and space have experientially collapsed, and suffering has ended (there is true ongoing unbroken peace), then there really is no need for videos, books, teachers. Until that point they may be helpful at times.

    • @LizB55
      @LizB55 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Mr. Cas I hear and understand what you are saying....intellectually I know that to be true. Until I experience that shift and not just glimpses, my suffering exists and these reminders help. Doing the practices without attaching to any of them as roadmaps, helps me connect to my senses and treat thoughts with curiosity instead of absolute identification of who I am.
      However, I see the slippery slope of avoidance through consuming.
      Thanks

      @@sagunbrahm it used to be but more and more I’m just accepting the doubts, the glimpses, the highs and lows and actually understanding that it’s all ok. So I just feel what I feel and don’t beat myself up as much.

  • @birgit8996

    It's a paradox, what should awaken what already is..... and yet a process seems to reveal exactly this view👁..... it's like a "switching" from perceiver to perception as a whole... .unchangeable in constant change🍃

    • @birgit8996
      @birgit8996 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @nat998
      @nat998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So true about the paradox. Thought is everywhere, in every single thing: I say, think, how I express "myself". It seems the "me" I have brought to life as my "self" /character is the package of assembled beliefs and thoughts and emotions. It's very complex and intricate.
      The source of Being/I AM is actually not a thing I can really grasp as an "identity" - it's silent and here. I feel it. It hears and sees. Then thoughts come that say "this is the me" 😂, this silence is me 💭
      My instinct tells me to sit with this I AM, and attune to that, and stop focusing on the paradox of thinking - don't go chasing the clouds of thought. It sounds more simple than it feels to do 😀

    • @birgit8996
      @birgit8996 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Isn't that interesting.....everything appears like this....without anyone...doing anything🌞

    • @nat998
      @nat998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not sure if I'm meant do be doing something differently with the inquiry. I'm following all the instructions and there's no end to thoughts. I dwell in the pause of momentary calm and then 💭... The sense of "me" I'm hunting so far is mired in thoughts. I know thoughts are fine though so am receptive. Just a torrent of em 💭💭💭
      I'm looking for... what is "Here"... as I exist as alive being. Going to practice some more! I'm so new to this, so there's excitement and confusion 😁 mostly excitement so... Onward and upward!!!

It tends to drop away, but if you struggle with it believing you have to give that up before you address your deepest yearning it will just be a distraction. Instead just leave that alone )don’t worry about it), and address your deepest promptings / inquire/ meditate etc and it will drop away at some point probably.

    Hey Angelo, thanks for video! On your first point about vulnerability - I find I am listening to what thoughts have to say, and what they want to express emotionally, I have been doing so for months (since initial awakening).
    I am so clear that it is just thoughts, that it is an illusory character, however this so called character doesn’t seem to lose any steam. Is this because I have a hidden agenda that I want it to lose steam? It often comes to this point where I realise there are just thoughts wanting other thoughts to go away, I see it all unfolding.
    I kind of feel like a new parent with a baby that won’t stop crying no matter what haha.
    Thanks
    Edit: I just watched a Jac o’keefe guided meditation where she opened with ‘be kind to yourself, not with stories from the mind but with true kindness’.
    It was like these emotional blockages just melted away.

    • @nat998
      @nat998 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perhaps it's a gradual stripping away of layers of embedded thoughts solidifying the psychological self? Thoughts become subtler and more insidious and to disentangle from what they assume or infer as this thinker/experiencer you have to really methodically break it down frame by frame at a very basic and mechanical level. Oh look a thought. It's like fighting the pull of sleep. Constantly sucks you in and under. It really feels like for me I'm trying to get back to seeing the world through the eyes of a child. To feel curious wonder and pure joy. Something very different is looking through these adult eyes, and it settled in during early teens. Keep chipping away 😃 weaken the defense structures of the psyche. Going to check out that Jac O' Keef guided meditation...

    • @SimplyAlwaysAwake

I watched a couple of the videos about the subject. I also know several people who I trust and who are realized humans, who have interacted with him, know him and/or have been in his sangha and they’ve told me they haven’t seen anything like what has been described. Like with anything in life you have to evaluate the information, sources, motivations etc and decide for yourself. He appears to be to be a good teacher.
