So let me see if ive got the facts right.
Chris Kaba had convictions for firearms offences
Driving a car that wasnt his
Was linked to a firearms incident days before
Refused orders to exit the vehicle
    Tried to ram the police
I fail to see how Chris Kaba was the wronged party in this scenario.

Well put sir. I completely agree with you. I have just watched his family stating that the police killed an unarmed man. He was armed, he was using the car he was driving as a weapon. In most countries where the police carry guns, he would definitely have been shot for his action of refusing to surrender.

It's not entirely his fault, he's just a product of the environment that policing has become since the introduction of the elected political Police and Crime Commissioners.
Get rid of the Police and Crime Commissioner as the experiment has failed miserably and let the experts back in charge, especially the officers who know about catching thieves and not the ones who think they should be politicians pandering to minority groups and waving rainbow flags while taking the knee.

Quite frankly, I don't know much about this case, but from what little I know, the police officer did nothing wrong and was simply doing his job keeping criminals off the street. I do not think that warrants a need for the police to regain trust. However there are 2 areas where I feel the police need to regain trust and that is their two tier approach to policing and their insistence of bowing down to the left, be it allowing terrorist supporting marches in the street, or covering their cars in rainbows to support pride which has nothing to do with policing. Those are the areas that the Police need to reevaluate.

Unfortunately the police lost all respect and trust from the public during the miners strikes. Not a single police officer has tried to do anything about gaining any of it back, until starmer has gone the police will always be controlled by his regime.

Police can have personal political views but they are to leave those views at home. Laws are to be applied equally not based on an officers Political leanings.

What a plonker Kaba was asked by the police to stop so why didn’t he?? If he had nothing to hide he should have stopped and he would still be alive.
Although I agree the police do not always get it right they certainly did this time.
The real victim here is the armed officer Martin Blake who was carrying out his job

@@craigk621 Simple, two tier policing there for all to see. In this case the officer was absolutely correct and should never have been brought to trial.

I don’t see the need for the shot. If you deploy a ‘hard stop’ you know that you’ve chosen to catch the suspect off guard & therefore to create a high risk environment. If you can’t handle that environment, don’t create it for yourself & the team.
Poor deployment of tactics, and he’s later to be found to be unarmed & not the owner of the car?
This is reckless, a wanton disregard of life.
