    The victim needs to pursue robbery charges, not hope that walmart will simply trespass them.
    It doesn't matter if it was a "prank." The genuine perception of the victim, after asking if it was a stupid tik tok, was that he was being robbed. The suspect continued to threaten the victim while forcefully taking possession of property.

The judge found him not guilty on all counts except one of "discharging a firearm in a public place". It was ruled self defense.

      It was in Virginia. The problem is if 2+ people approach a total stranger these days, that person has a legitimate reason to be worried for their safety. Especially if you REFUSE TO LEAVE when asked to stop. At that point the person being harassed may resort to physical force to extricate themselves from the situation, and it will be self defense in most places.

    While carrying a gun, there is more chance the person has more ego and not afraid to use in that situation. This man is one of the most responsible gun owners.
    Edit: At first the man with the gun tried to talk to the prank guy, and later he put his hand behind holding the gun but did not say the word gun out loud or take it out, he just his stuff back without harm anyone, that is why I thought he was so calm.       For example, if this was a castle doctrine state, maybe in a county more rural, and if the judge is more lenient, the judge may just throw the entire brandishing charge out altogether on the basis of "lawful use of firearm to protect his property" or some convenient reason like that.

    I actually blame the platform for giving them money for the views they get from acting like this. If there were no financial incentives, it would not be this popular.

      It would still have financial incentives, because they can still link/sponsor to their other monetized platforms in the content.
