Wheezes mainly occur on expiration but an also occur during inspiration, and they tend to be high-pitched.
Wheezes are continuous and can be heard throughout the respiratory system. The important clinical characteristic of a wheeze sound is that it tends to have a slight whistle or musical sound to it.

I came to your latest video so that you can see this comment. I’m from Greece and I’m studying for the nclex. I did 4 years of studies. I did a master’s. I felt so insecure about my knowledge in nursing. I said I give up I don’t know anything. I couldn’t even recall basic pathophysiology. Maybe nursing isn’t for me I said to myself again and again. Until I came across your videos. I don’t know how to express my relief and gratitude other than say a BIG thank you for your work. I remember nursing now. Once you figure out how big role having a good teacher plays, one that conveys the knowledge and WANTS you to learn, you’ll never blame yourself again. I AM a nurse I have the knowledge and you made me believe in it again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me a nurse again.

Thank you :) I had a patient going through that a couple of months ago and we put her on albuterol solution for 15 minutes. However, she kept refusing to have the mask on and inhale the steam.

I sound like a freaking owl "hooo hooo hooo" when I exhale it's really weird. Could that be a wheeze?
