I watched this movie in like 3rd or 4th grade, and I kept remembering bits of this movie after after going through my elementary school stuff. I got very frustrated when I couldn’t remember what it was so I chatgpt what I remembered and finally found it.
This is such a devoted musical!! The family action comedy The Pacifier introduced me to this musical before I knew myself more with the actual movie and I watched the musical live 3x
One of the greatest n finest musical extravaganza movie of all-time. Great direction of celebrated Robert Wise n performances of starcast. The way it is shown Salzburg (Austra) is truly remarkable.

I remember owning the dvd and it was one of the best movies. I don't think I have it anymore, but I watched it when I was 5 or 6. Good times. I didn't expect someone younger than me by a couple of years to know this movie. Props for finding this gem.

Not really crazy, it's just a wonderful classic, that should always be popular. I love it, as my favorite movie of all time!
Some of the camera shots in this trailer are different than in the final movie, such as of Christopher Plummer/Captain von Trapp at 0:34.

Considering she was the original Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady," the original Broadway Polly in "The Boy Friend," the original Guinevere in "Camelot," the original Victoria in "Victor/Victoria," and did a fabulous special of "The King and I" as Anna, you're quite right.
I'm not really into musical, but this one... the cast is also great; Julie Andrews and -Kevin Spacey- Christopher Plummer are amazing.

1944 film renewed in 1978
This was a 1965 movie, the huge blockbuster of that year and still focused on by the public for years after, its storyline set in the 1930's, and digitally remastered at some point. It was never a 1944 film.
