I adore Emily Gilmore. Totally a St John Knits fan. When I started putting together my St John Knit capsule wardrobe I discovered why they are the best. St John made a commitment that all of their Santana knits would match regardless of what season. So I can buy pieces from multiple years and they all go together well.
OH MY GOODNESS NIKKI! I just looked at St John Knits website and am so grateful you introduced me to them! Wow their pieces are stunning! I also love what you said about building up those pieces year after year. Seems like you've been really investing in quality and it's paying off. I'll have to place an order there soon! Thanks so much for watching and sharing 🥰
I wore a lot of St John when I was still working because they were comfortable enough on a plane but suitable for the meeting when I got there. I kept several pieces and they look as good as ever and not outdated almost 20 years later. Always appropriate but never boring
Your bubbly personality makes this an enjoyable video to watch. I love the "lady jacket" looks and I have a few myself. You have given me some great ideas on how to style mine. You look fabulous in the blue matching outfit.
Thank you Amanda, I decided immediatly for a dark blue turtle neck sweater with a creme white cropped boucle wool jacket from Massimo Dutti, golden hoop earrings and a blue straight leg jeans. Looks wow ..... Greetings from Hamburg, Germany.
I think your style is elevated, sassy & impeccable. Love the formula ideas you gave us. Will definitely be referencing back to this video. Every outfit is fabulous🌟🥰.
My favorite cropped jacket/lady jacket is Sezane’s Betty Cardigan. I love that it has a classic, pointed collar added, a plain round-neck isn’t the best on me. The collar makes it look more modern, too, some of these jackets/cardigans can look grannyish. I’m probably the age of your Grandma, and I love my classics, but I want them to look up to date, too. I certainly wore them when they were formerly trending, in the 80s. The Betty is structured, but super-comfy because it’s a knit, made in 100% Merino wool, a lovely natural-fiber fabric. (Because of allergies, I have to pass on plastic fibers like polyester, nylon, etc.)
I love the idea of kick flare jeans but if you're petite like me they really shorten your legs so straight or bootcut jeans are a more flattering choice
The little scarf around your neck looked lovely, a great finishing touch and it can be inexpensive to buy one, for example a stripe, polka dot or a bandana type neckerchief can cost as little as 99p in the UK. I have a vintage Mickey Mouse one from Gucci that I treasure, I can never afford expensive brands but I treated myself a couple of years ago and I love it. Look out for similar vintage Mickey accessories and tops now that it's out of copyright
I think you need to be a little careful when buying cropped boucle jackets because some of them can look a bit old-fashioned and too classic. Imo the camel Goelia one falls into this trap even though it is beautifully made. Also I'd rather not have rounded hems at the bottom, I prefer square ones. Mango does these jackets quite well and the buttons, etc. often give their jackets a modern look while keeping them timeless. I bought a great one from Boden too last year, slightly longer so it covers my bulging tummy (I'm slim but tummy is always bulging!) Instead of choosing camel, which looks old on me and drains me of all colour, I went for a gorgeous cerulean blue from Hobbs in the UK (now sold out), the colour is a little unusual and I always get compliments, I also have a navy one and I try to buy slightly different ones (different lengths, buttons, collared or collarless, etc.)
I find that short torso people need to be careful with cropped jackets because if its not cropped enough you just look like Queen Elizabeth (nothing wrong with her look but when you want to look hip and happening it might not be the esthetic you are looking for) So you almost have to go super cropped for short torso, also I have a cropped blazer and it look so badass! Love the edge it just give to any outfit! I still have a bad 90's aftertaste with the cropped jackets that look stuffy. I have this image seens on movies and TV of the ''villainess'' was always wearing the tweed cropped jacket (even in Devil wear Prada Miranda always wear cropped jackets, The Nanny C.c. always wear that tweed jackets) so kind of hard to change my views on this piece of clothing ;)
I'm almost 58 years young and I'd rather dress down these jackets with jeans so I don't look too classic and ladylike so no matching skirt for me even though it looks lovely on Amanda
which is why the rich women from China are going for them. But it's in the styling how you wear them to keep your waist and bust. Wear them open with a fitted top underneath
Sky blue was MADDDEEEEEE for you 😍😍😍
LOVE YOU ANGEL! She's definitely in her blue era!

Hi Amanda, hope you have a great day!
Thank you Lena! You too! Enjoy the sunshine ☀️
Love the zara beige jacket and chloe purse on you but I don't wear polyester so I won't get it but I'm on the lookout for one. Nice video, thanks.
I'll keep my eye out too! Thanks for watching!

I love you in the pale blue suit though not sure about the bicolour boots

Such an interesting take, thanks so much for putting so much into this comment! Always learning from these 🥰
Thanks…where are your black heeled boots from…thanks
Sorry..i just found the links…😮. Love the Uniqlo tee shirts too.
Oh that is my FAV!
👏👏👏👏❤
You look absoloutely stunning in Goelia camel crop jacket and long white skirt and camel white knee high boots. Also without sun glsses. :)
Thank you so much love!

This is such great information for short torsos! Thanks Valerie! You took so much time to write this I really appreciate it 🥰

So kind of you! I agree with you - so fun to pair these with jeans! Such an easy way to elevate the everyday foundation of denim and a white tee 🥰
yes I bought the pale blue Goelia jacket to wear with jeans. AND because it's washable!
Cropped jackets make women look boxy and flat chested. Not at all vibes I'm going for.
