  • We build a good trail warrior, a CRF250X which while old, still is one good trail machine.

    Jay in this video you have a fmf mega bomb on the bike and they only make a power bomb for the 250x. Is this a 450x in the video?

    Guys, when do you think you need to replace the connecting rod on the honda crf250x ?

    • @dirtbiketv1
      @dirtbiketv1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have over 200 hours on some -- so it just depends on oil changes and if the bike has been taken care of and type of riding.

    I just got an 05 250x I'm putting the 256 kit and stage 1 hot cams in it. It being an 05 should I replace the crank it is still in spec no up and down play or do these cranks past longer than an r model

    • @dirtbiketv1
      @dirtbiketv1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do tend to last longer because they usually are not ridden as hard/moto vs trail. It all depends on how well it was taken care of - -oil changes etc but we have seen bikes with 200 plus hours on stock crank.

      Alright that's kind of what I was thinking it is the cleanest 05 model bike iv ever seen it has definitely been taken care of. Thanks for the fast response

    great looking bike, nice upgrades! Based on your experience, how does it compare to AF WR250, when it comes to reliability and power?

      Dirt N Iron, my buddy has an 08 wr250 and I have the 06' 250x. They are very comparable. I would give the Honda a slight advantage in the power department and it feels slightly more race worthy. The Honda fits my 6'2" frame well and is quite comfortable. I will give a slight advantage to the Wr in stock suspension feel for trail riding and I would also give the Wr a slight advantage in reliability. However, they are both very well built bikes as we both have over 600 hours on them with very little problems. I have converted mine to steal valves and he has gone though a couple clutches. We both have done 4 top ends, other than that they are original besides suspension setups and we ride and race them quite hard on desert single track. They feel about the same in weight as well. I absolutely love the bike for rocky single track back in the hills and that's where it really shines. I regularly ride all my buddies bran new bikes and just haven't found one that seems to be able to pull me away from the X. I wouldn't mind owning either so if your looking into one, get the one that's the best deal/looked after. Dirt n' iron love your channel by the way! You too Jay!

    I found one on offer up for 3500 guy says it only has 20 hours. Is this a scam or legit?

    • @dirtbiketv1
      @dirtbiketv1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      he might not be a scammer as most moto dudes are cool- he might just be bad at guessing the hours on the bike. Email me the ad and I be glad to look at it---
