    I have 3 kits from these guys, and just picked up 66 of there 304 cells. Excellent people, products and fairly priced. Excellent review!😄

    That really is a beast of a battery. It's great to see something so well-built being assembled in the US. It's also very cool that they have kits which allow you to build a battery yourself. I will be looking into those heated and insulated battery bags for an off-grid project I'm doing.

    I just finished a build of the heated version... It turned out pretty good. It's my second kit from them. I found that no matter what setting, 1, 2 or 3, the power draw is the same but probably cycles more often. It took 2hrs and 40 mins to bring it from 0deg. C. to 70deg. F. and used 8% of the 280ah capacity to do it. Nice review!

    Great video-thanks! I do like the fact these guys offer all the details needed on any given battery purchase and as you mentioned, pricing is competitive. Even the refurbs are completely detailed on what was wrong and what was fixed to resell as a refurb.

    thanks for the break down. Not liking the heating mode. Typically a lithium battery you can use them in discharge mode under freezing. Now when you charge them up under zero they dont like it. So I would rather like to see in the BMS to heat the cells before charging them and continue to heat while charging. Once the cell reach its full charge point then it could cut the heating pad and discharge for use.
    my 2 cents, well that how mine work.

    If they manufactured a 200 Ah battery with the same dimensions as a typical 100 Ah battery, they would capture more sales. My Casita travel trailer has a specific location and size limit for a single, typical battery, so the 300 Ah battery wouldn’t meet my needs size wise.

    • @lijay1

      Buy the kit without the heating element. They have videos to go through every step to put it together. If you can follow lego instructions, you can put one of their batteries together. You also save a little bit of money that way.

    • @BeefNEggs057
      @BeefNEggs057 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any lithium can be mounted any direction you can imagine. They are sealed cells inside the plastic box.

    • @sfkenergy
      @sfkenergy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, while it is possible to side mount, all long term testing and data has been based on the prismatic cells mounted upright. That being said we have had people side mount the battery for years and it has been working, however, in the manual we recommend mounting then upright.

  • @Albert_206

    All good and well, but and that counts for every battery seller, everything is coming from China. Knowing that one is better off building a battery yourself. There are a couple of channels whom give information to actually diy. For less than half the price, tending to a third the price. Moreover, not taking weight into account I would not recommend one pack but at least have two batteries for some redundancy.

    One large LFP battery with one BMS. A failed BMS and all that amperage is lost, at least to those of us who don't have the skills to replace it. And if China goes offline (invades Taiwan) no parts. Hopefully some of the planned factories for North America will make sodium ion batteries. Thanks for the review. PS: I have 300ah of lfp's but I'm replacing my old flooded batteries with VRLA batteries to have some dumb batteries for backup.

      That guy also later admitted he botched there test and didn't charge them properly in a follow up video, he also tells people to buy Docan who has been exposed to be selling counterfeit and re-lasered QR codes, testing to only 260AH. You should read up on a thread on diy solar forum under the vendor review forum. Anything that guy says should be taken with a grain of salt.
