Just one small note: I believe that the "freedom" SUGA speaks about here is really about overall freedom, not only freedom of expression (although yes, for sure expression is mentioned, of course). Basically, it's the realization that practicing your own freedom can impinge on the rights of others (think the US during COVID and the mask debate, or anti-vaxxers who are breaking down the herd immunity for diseases long thought mostly eradicated (polio, measles)) but that have made inroads on coming back. This lyric is key, I think: "But I truly hope you differentiate freedom from self-indulgence." There are allusions in the song to idols who are expected to be perfect and get slammed with hate (just netizens "expressing freedom of thought” 🙄) for doing something as minor as smoking or dating (SUGA smoking in this MV is definitely not random, in other words). It's incredibly poignant when you know what happened with SUGA this year - it's like he was foreseeing his own future.

There is Run BTS video of RM and Suga talking about the middle school "hageum" game where you would try to get those to say forbidden words! Then you look at how there is a "tsunami of (useless) information" available that enslaves you to the internet, to capitalism, to flexing, and how this frames your every thought and action!!! So is being free by lifting the ban "the internet" has on your mind and you believe you are freely thinking for yourself (the forbidden)? Because what you think you believe is out of the norm and is the truth! But does your truth infringe on some one else's freedom? This song is so philosophical and deep!!!!! Get your tissue out for part 3, Amygdala!!!! It is his true story, shown in flashes in his amygdala, about all his hardships, struggles with mental health (including his 2012 suicide attempt) and the traumas in his life (focusing on his accident in 2012 that almost ended his career before BTS even debuted! I believe that music is like art. Everyone can interpret it differently and that's okay. If you can appreciate it and take something away from a song, I believe that's what BTS always try to achieve. They have a message that they always want to share. But don't be afraid to interpret it however you want. 💜
Some of my fave reactors will watch the first time with no lyrics or pauses just to get the vibe of the music and flow. Then watch again with lyrics. You do what works for u. 💜

@tahbofficial I can get a bit pissy if people are disrespectful but I saw that reaction, I watch them all, and you weren’t. You never are. ARMY can get a bit touchy. But right now there’s a lot going on with bts being attacked, including false accusations against V that the military had to set right & death threats against Suga, so everyone is very protective right now. Only suggestion I have: never just go by the first definition when looking up words. BTS can use every meaning in the same song- ddaeng, daechwita, haegeum. Don’t worry, outside of an explanation video you’re not going to get everything.
Thank you for mentioning this cuz it really is crazy right now in S.Korea what's been happening to the guys despite most still serving and hard to explain to people new to BTS, it's difficult to go into details cuz it's overwhelming but just to sum it up there are a lot of power people from rival companies in S.Korea that feel threatened BTS is returning soon and they are becoming desperate. They decided to attack them and do smear campaigns against BTS while they are all gone in the military cuz they aren't in the position to defend themselves being enlisted. Army has been through it these last few months with the attacks against the guys becoming bigger and more often, it will likely get worse before the guys are released unfortunately. We are so ready for this to be over, June 2025 can't come fast enough.

Two plots in play both needed Hybe to fail and the only way was to destroy BTS!!!! MHJ wanted to take over Hybe and insert her GG New Jeans, who she stated was bigger and more important to Hybe than BTS!!!! 😅😅😂😂 Kakao wanted an agreed merger with SM, but in order for Kakao to go public, with IPO, Hybe needed to fail. In 2023 Hybe was set to purchase SM, but SM and Kakao manipulated the SM stock and Hybe stopped the deal. I believe executives for Kakao are being charged with stock manipulation!!!! This is a nightmare drama, as K-media who are BTS haters have been reporting innuendos favoring everyone but Hybe and BTS!!!!! Sound familiar - Suga's non-scandal kickboard situation turned into the crime of the century!!!! But a few days ago, former CEO MHJ officially resigned from Ador and this "mama" abandoned her "daughters" of NJ!!!!! So the Suga death threats, who many believe are coming from NJ fans who support MHJ and are basically her cult members that do her bidding, should hopefully ease up! I think a lot of army really want their music and lyrics to be taken seriously and understood because it’s a big reason why they are a stand out act. But for now just take it for what it is and enjoy yourselves! New music is supposed to be fun!

Meanwhile there is corruption and all sorts of values that are considered part of society may them be bad or not. Ok jumping in for a sec ... idk if yall will see this now or not lol. Been subscribed for a min but I swear you never show up in my feed... Like EVER. Idk what's up with that. So I usually end up bingeing this channel every few weeks to catch up. (I have weird ass varying music tastes like Kendrick BTS Tool Tyler Pink Floyd Wayne Kanye Taylor anything grunge etc and it doesn't make sense idk lol) I knowwwwww its so annoying trying to pay attention to lyrics/translation and the vid all at once but yall are doing great. (I used to HATE subtitled stuff until I started getting into BTS.) I promise it gets easier. Idk how, but it just does lol. ADHD is actually helpful with stuff like that because an ADHD brain actually thrives at doing multiple things at once. My doc explained it to me that and ADHD brain is actually more evolved than a "regular/normal" brain. Thats why things like school are so difficult because you are expected to sit still and focus on one thing at a time and thats why people will say things like "well then whyyyyy can you play video games all day just fine?!??" Well, video games are using many different parts of your brain at one time. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that in there. i was reading comments before pressing play (dont judge me) and i thought everyone was talking about the 2 Sugas scene with the gun and the bathtub when i kept seeing "theyre in the same room" comments 😭 then i clicked play and felt so extremely dumb. i think your old way of doing things was fine. lol if you wanna "do better" for people complaining, maybe watch the video 2x? once for the visuals and the other time for the lyrics. maybe that way yall can enjoy both while still being able to watch the whole way through with no pauses. plus itll onlybe 6-7 minutes depensing on how long the video is.

@tahbofficial I can get a bit pissy if people are disrespectful but I saw that reaction, I watch them all, and you weren’t. You never are. ARMY can get a bit touchy. But right now there’s a lot going on with bts being attacked, including false accusations against V that the military had to set right & death threats against Suga, so everyone is very protective right now. Only suggestion I have: never just go by the first definition when looking up words. BTS can use every meaning in the same song- ddaeng, daechwita, haegeum. Don’t worry, outside of an explanation video you’re not going to get everything.
Thank you for mentioning this cuz it really is crazy right now in S.Korea what's been happening to the guys despite most still serving and hard to explain to people new to BTS, it's difficult to go into details cuz it's overwhelming but just to sum it up there are a lot of power people from rival companies in S.Korea that feel threatened BTS is returning soon and they are becoming desperate. They decided to attack them and do smear campaigns against BTS while they are all gone in the military cuz they aren't in the position to defend themselves being enlisted. Army has been through it these last few months with the attacks against the guys becoming bigger and more often, it will likely get worse before the guys are released unfortunately. We are so ready for this to be over, June 2025 can't come fast enough.
No need to really worry, but we need to stay informed!!! The plot, by SM, Kakao and former CEO of Ador MHJ, to ruin Hybe by taking down BTS has failed!!! Two plots in play both needed Hybe to fail and the only way was to destroy BTS!!!! MHJ wanted to take over Hybe and insert her GG New Jeans, who she stated was bigger and more important to Hybe than BTS!!!! 😅😅😂😂 Kakao wanted an agreed merger with SM, but in order for Kakao to go public, with IPO, Hybe needed to fail. In 2023 Hybe was set to purchase SM, but SM and Kakao manipulated the SM stock and Hybe stopped the deal. I believe executives for Kakao are being charged with stock manipulation!!!! This is a nightmare drama, as K-media who are BTS haters have been reporting innuendos favoring everyone but Hybe and BTS!!!!! Sound familiar - Suga's non-scandal kickboard situation turned into the crime of the century!!!! But a few days ago, former CEO MHJ officially resigned from Ador and this "mama" abandoned her "daughters" of NJ!!!!! So the Suga death threats, who many believe are coming from NJ fans who support MHJ and are basically her cult members that do her bidding, should hopefully ease up!
These death threats were deemed credible, which is why Suga was transferred to an on-base assignment. This was done to ensure his safety!!!!! #protectSUGA #protectBTS

She tried to exercise her (cancelled put options when she did for a reason, and the same goes for her resignation…and the same goes for unfollowing both Ador and NJ on social media - she has a non-compete, so she’s keeping up appearances). Everything that has happened with Ador she planned since 2021 - up to leaving it an “empty shell” since it is quite likely that NJ will soon file a suit to cancel their contract with HYBE). There are still multiple outstanding suits, and MHJ claimed in her (batsh** crazy) goodbye novel that she will be making HYBE pay. Nothing is going to die down any time soon - I predict it will get (maybe even much) worse before it gets better. We all need to buckle in.
Also, I have never heard anything about SUGA’s job being changed to on-base. I just looked for anything about it with a Google search and a search on X, and I found one video on a clickbait channel. Unless we get official content information from Big Hit, I don’t think we should spread that around as “truth” (or even as a rumor, for that matter).

HAEGEUM is the second in the trilogy and this word has two meanings: 1 - it is a traditional Korean instrument that was also used in music; and, 2 - unblock, release or suspend a prohibition or restriction.
The song and MV are conveying a message about how idols shouldn't be tied down by people's social expectations and should be free to do whatever they want. An example of this is that in the MV's plot there is a scene where he was smoking. 💜🇧🇷

I wouldn’t worry too much, in my opinion sometimes you have to watch it multiple times to fully grasp it. I think a lot of army really want their music and lyrics to be taken seriously and understood because it’s a big reason why they are a stand out act. But for now just take it for what it is and enjoy yourselves! New music is supposed to be fun!

Ok jumping in for a sec ... idk if yall will see this now or not lol. Been subscribed for a min but I swear you never show up in my feed... Like EVER. Idk what's up with that. So I usually end up bingeing this channel every few weeks to catch up. (I have weird ass varying music tastes like Kendrick BTS Tool Tyler Pink Floyd Wayne Kanye Taylor anything grunge etc and it doesn't make sense idk lol) I knowwwwww its so annoying trying to pay attention to lyrics/translation and the vid all at once but yall are doing great. (I used to HATE subtitled stuff until I started getting into BTS.) I promise it gets easier. Idk how, but it just does lol. ADHD is actually helpful with stuff like that because an ADHD brain actually thrives at doing multiple things at once. My doc explained it to me that and ADHD brain is actually more evolved than a "regular/normal" brain. Thats why things like school are so difficult because you are expected to sit still and focus on one thing at a time and thats why people will say things like "well then whyyyyy can you play video games all day just fine?!??" Well, video games are using many different parts of your brain at one time. Anyway, just thought I'd throw that in there. i was reading comments before pressing play (dont judge me) and i thought everyone was talking about the 2 Sugas scene with the gun and the bathtub when i kept seeing "theyre in the same room" comments 😭 then i clicked play and felt so extremely dumb. i think your old way of doing things was fine. lol if you wanna "do better" for people complaining, maybe watch the video 2x? once for the visuals and the other time for the lyrics. maybe that way yall can enjoy both while still being able to watch the whole way through with no pauses. plus itll onlybe 6-7 minutes depensing on how long the video is.

1. It's easier to follow the lyrics on screen 'cause they're now more recognizable
2. u can understand the imaging, plot and storytelling better
3. u get to see how he manifested them\the idea in the MV..
4. the MV might blow your mind. U'd still enjoy without but with - the MV might blow your mind.
