I had motion sickness on all the motion 3d rides back in February. After feeling bad all day on 1st day, I brought bag of ginger chews and ate those before and during rides which helped a lot.

The Mummy is the right that I could not hold it and puke to the side of it while the ride was still running at the end, I turn white and people where saying you look sick hor the next 2 hours, but I rode The Simpson and MIB right before it

I get sick really easily, I have motion dizziness issues (even in the car and in the airplane). I got the annual pass and was willing to give it a try to "lighter" rides. The Escape from Gringotts was really cool, I felt scared but not sick at all. Then, I went to the Forbidden Journey expecting to be similar OMG. I got sick after 5 seconds of the ride, had to keep my eyes shut the whole ride. It was too bad not being able to watch the screen. Do you guys recommend any rides that could cause less trouble? I also heard people talking about medication...
Rip Ride Rock It doesn’t make me sick but it’s a painful ride for me. I always get banged up with my head and shoulders plus the lap bar/band jabs my stomach all the time. I don’t go on it anymore because of that.
Great Video!!!! I will vote for Forbidden Journey. My daughter and I had one day to spend in both parks. We started in Island of adventure, rode Kong, that was great. Then we raced to Hogsmeade as the daughter wanted to get there as quickly as we could. We rode Forbidden journey twice back to back. It was walk on that day, after the second time riding it, I started not feeling well. We had a butter beer ( which I would recommend NOT doing when starting to feel motion sick lol ) than rode Dueling Dragons! After that I was DONE!!! We went to three broomsticks...and all I could do was lay my head down on the table in there. I got sick three times in the bathroom close by. We eventually made our way to Diagon Alley and the daughter did Gringotts alone. I just couldn't do anymore rides. She went on a few as we walked around the rest of the parks. It was fun...but I totally learned my lesson...Eat a light breakfast, ride only 1 time and judge how I'm feeling before going on another one lol
I highly agree! If you’re going to go on Rides at Universal Orlando Resort that make you sick, don’t eat Breakfast. Okay. Don’t do that. It will ruin your whole day. Heck, it will ruin your whole trip to Universal Orlando Resort.

Knowing how much of a Harry Potter Fan she is , I had to convince her to get on after I had already ridden it once. It has to be the best themed ride in the parks. It is so innovating and different then anything else you will ride in the parks. After riding it and enjoying all of the awesome parts of the queue she agreed that it is a must ride while in the parks. Just ride it with someone who has already done it and can tell you when to close and open your eyes.
I’ve never go on Simpson’s because....years ago when that building housed Back to the Future, I almost had to use my tote bag as a sick bag...so nope...not doing the Simpsons, ever.

Great video, guys! There’s definitely a few surprises on the list, to me. The simulator/dark rides are what draw my wife and I to the parks a couple of times a year, not the roller coasters; we have a local park (Valley Fair in MN) with plenty of roller coasters, so we could just stay home for that. I’ve found that the only rides I’ve ever had an issue with are the Hulk (I got a severe headache from the initial launch but in fairness, it was before the refurb, so it might be smoother now) and Rip, Ride, Rocket (I remember feeling iffy after that one; fun ride, but it made me queasy).

I was suppposed to go with my family this year in early June to universal studios in florida but we decided not to go because of the virus and the fact we have to wear masks all day there. I had issues with both the Simpson's and Forbidden Journey. I also have issues with the glasses on Spiderman and Transformers they push on the side of my head and I left both rides with a headache.
My first time on Forbidden Journey was not pleasant LOL I had to close my eyes halfway through to prevent from getting sick. Sure enough, I got sick after getting off the ride. I was prepared my 2nd and 3rd time with dramamine, what a blast this ride is!!
I agree with Nicky on the Harry Potter ride with the transition from screen to real castle scenes. I close my eyes briefly during that transition and it makes a big difference for me!!! I also think you should swap transformers ride instead of Minions. I get shaken baby syndrome on transformers all the time!!! It is so rough!! Lol. Love you guys!!! I can’t wait to get back to Universal but may take a while since I live in Canada. 😞 Stay safe everyone!!!
Pro Tip! When you arrive drop by Health Services ( First Aid) at the front of either park and pick up free dramamine before riding to try to prevent motion sickness!

When I visit3s Universal Studios Orlando, when I was younger, the only two motion rides I had gone was The Jetsons & Back to the Future,which I loved both rides, but especially the Jetsons because I got to go on it twice! Only disappointment was after hearing all the hype about the E.T., ride, it was closed due to repairs that day. So I never got to go on the E.T. to this day.
I've always gotten sick on rides until I discovered the motion sickness patches that you get from the Dr. Put one behind your ear and you're good to go for 3 days. I've ridden Forbidden Journey several times and didn't even break a sweat.

Some motion sickness on the Forbidden Journey, but because of my size, the harness that they shut on you restricts my breathing, so that was a problem right out of the gate..
Hi, from the UK. Forbidden Journey, is one of my favourite rides, at Universal. Lucky for me, i don't suffer from any motion sickness. But we did get held up, for 45min, ( back in december ) as someone felt sick, and dizzy, and they had to take her off the ride, and re-set it. I'm fine with all the other rides. I would think, Flight of Passage, over at Disneys Animal Kingdom, would be high on the list, for motion sickness? What an amazing ride that is.
I rode Forbidden Journey with my dad when we went on our trip at the beginning of April. I rode it twice because I had my eyes closed for a majority of the ride the first time. I couldn't really ride any other ride except for Kong and Spiderman afterwards because I was so queasy. Cool ride, just so much moving around and spinning.

I rode Forbidden Journey once and haven’t ridden it again. Not because it makes me sick, but because the spider scene and the dementor scene with the practical effects almost made me have a panic attack when I first went on it. I’m arachnophobic so that explains the spiders, the dementors just creep me out
Worst for me at Islands of Adventure is Forbidden Journey, took me the rest of my day to feel normal again, dizziness/headspinning was the worst and as a result, nausea. Thankfully I can still walk the queue.
You may have covered this, but I forget, are they still doing a fingerprint scan at entry? Besides the health check at the main entrance, what's it like getting into the parks?
No finger scan. Now you line up on blue markers on the ground that are 6 feet apart. You have to have a photo ID and show it when your ticket is scanned. This replaces the finger scan. 😉
Definitely Forbidden Journey. It didn’t bother me when it first opened, but now it makes me feel awful. I think the part when you’re flat on your back is what does it. The Hulk gives me a little headache if I’m tired or a little dehydrated. MIB spinning was the worst the first time I rode it. Now I’m used to it. I think the first time is always the worst. The Space ride at Disney made me sick for a full day and now I can ride nonstop.
I have very bad vertigo so the minions makes me nauseous and I Have never tried Simpsons. My friends told me not to try FJ but that one doesn't make me sick. I think it is because I am so enthralled in what I am watching. The hulk gives me a headache but it doesn't make me feel nauseous. I just keep Dramamine on me and my anxiety medication (which helps me when I am dizzy as well) and I am good to go!

Rix next time try sitting forward so your back isn't resting on the ride seat it helps take away some of the intensity of the motion ..... especially on the screened rides such a simpsons etc seemed to work for me great vlogs keep up the good work
On my first trip to universal, I went on forbidden journey not knowing that there was any spiders (I have a very bad case of arachnophobia). I went on the ride and had a good time until I suddenly see a little spider, I was like, ok, thats scary, and then I saw another one, and then another one, and I was like oh poop. I came of the ride scarred for life, and I said I am never going on that ride again.
Rip tide rocket. You misled me before and I can’t ride that ever again. All the head shaking and it lifting me in the seat slamming me into my crouch. Such a painful ride.

I've only been to Universal once. I didn't get sick at all on the Simpsons or Journey. I didn't ride Rock or Hulk though. My first real coasters have been like Everest and The Mummy, which I loved both, but never worked my way up to doing the bigger ones or looping ones. Maybe one day. I guess screen rides don't bother me because I do a lot of VR stuff like with PS4, so I've gotten used to it.
I love Forbidden Journey. It’s my favorite. Never been on Simpsons or Minion Mayhem particularly so I won’t get sick. We use Bonine for motion sickness as it doesn’t cause drowsiness like Dramamine can.
Some motion sickness happens when there is a conflict between actual motion and simulated motion, which is why you felt queasy during Bourne. An IMAX movie can take me down for two days for that reason.

My friends wanted to go on the Simpson’s ride and I am so glad we didn’t now because the line was 100 minutes and I said “ heck. I am NOT waiting and hour and a half for a frickn Simpson’s ride”. 😂. So glad we moved on.
Also when we went on the screen ones I never got motion sick but I felt super nauseous often we got home I started getting the wave of the nauseous ness.
The one time I've gotten real motion sickness at universal was last September I rode forbidden journey three times in a row. I had an express pass and the first two times were so awesome so I hopped on that third time and then immediately regretted it haha I felt horrible the rest of the night
What anti nausea medication works best for people ? Sometimes I get cotton mouth or sleepy with them. Forbidden Journey, 100% the worst I've ever been on, eyes closed for every screen. Simpsons yes and then Transformers, get on Ok in Spiderman though. 2nd half of the Hulk is tough going, always wobbly after that. If you're prone to motion sickness, the more 'queasy' rides you do it culminatively gets worse. I limit myself to 3 big coaster rides a day, otherwise it adversely affects your whole day and sometimes the next. I also don't get on well with elevators !!
I totally got sick last time I rode Hulk. I was on the day after a migraine, so I was super sensitive anyway. I was ok until I smelled food, then I just prayed until I got off. I managed to get off and away from the exit area before losing it. 😂

For me...motion sickness is not an ailment from which I suffer, but my fiancé , forbidden journey crippled him with nausea for the rest of the day.

Hi, from the UK. Forbidden Journey, is one of my favourite rides, at Universal. Lucky for me, i don't suffer from any motion sickness. But we did get held up, for 45min, ( back in december ) as someone felt sick, and dizzy, and they had to take her off the ride, and re-set it. I'm fine with all the other rides. I would think, Flight of Passage, over at Disneys Animal Kingdom, would be high on the list, for motion sickness? What an amazing ride that is.
I rode Forbidden Journey with my dad when we went on our trip at the beginning of April. I rode it twice because I had my eyes closed for a majority of the ride the first time. I couldn't really ride any other ride except for Kong and Spiderman afterwards because I was so queasy. Cool ride, just so much moving around and spinning.
This is my dad’s account but at 12:33 i feel like it is the complete opposite me and my brother always spin super fast so it is like a torture device that we can use against him
Race thru New York gives me such a headache. It’s up there with Simpson’s for 🤮 inducing,
I rode Forbidden Journey once and haven’t ridden it again. Not because it makes me sick, but because the spider scene and the dementor scene with the practical effects almost made me have a panic attack when I first went on it. I’m arachnophobic so that explains the spiders, the dementors just creep me out
Worst for me at Islands of Adventure is Forbidden Journey, took me the rest of my day to feel normal again, dizziness/headspinning was the worst and as a result, nausea. Thankfully I can still walk the queue.
You may have covered this, but I forget, are they still doing a fingerprint scan at entry? Besides the health check at the main entrance, what's it like getting into the parks?
No finger scan. Now you line up on blue markers on the ground that are 6 feet apart. You have to have a photo ID and show it when your ticket is scanned. This replaces the finger scan. 😉

Definitely Forbidden Journey. It didn’t bother me when it first opened, but now it makes me feel awful. I think the part when you’re flat on your back is what does it.
The Hulk gives me a little headache if I’m tired or a little dehydrated.
MIB spinning was the worst the first time I rode it. Now I’m used to it.
I think the first time is always the worst. The Space ride at Disney made me sick for a full day and now I can ride nonstop.

I have very bad vertigo so the minions makes me nauseous and I Have never tried Simpsons. My friends told me not to try FJ but that one doesn't make me sick. I think it is because I am so enthralled in what I am watching. The hulk gives me a headache but it doesn't make me feel nauseous. I just keep Dramamine on me and my anxiety medication (which helps me when I am dizzy as well) and I am good to go!
First want to say love your videos very insightful. Second wondering If the storm ride spinning makes the list, should have mentioned MIB near the end how it spins you quickly.
Rix next time try sitting forward so your back isn't resting on the ride seat it helps take away some of the intensity of the motion ..... especially on the screened rides such a simpsons etc seemed to work for me great vlogs keep up the good work
On my first trip to universal, I went on forbidden journey not knowing that there was any spiders (I have a very bad case of arachnophobia). I went on the ride and had a good time until I suddenly see a little spider, I was like, ok, thats scary, and then I saw another one, and then another one, and I was like oh poop. I came of the ride scarred for life, and I said I am never going on that ride again.
Rip tide rocket. You misled me before and I can’t ride that ever again. All the head shaking and it lifting me in the seat slamming me into my crouch. Such a painful ride.
I had to keep my eyes closed the entire time when I rode Forbidden Journey! I have no earthly idea what happened on it lol ! I was just praying I would not throw up or pass out. Such a bummer!

Yikes! I don’t think I get motion sickness!! Heading there next month for my 1st time! I’ve been to Disney about 20 yrs ago and did just fine. Fingers crossed!
I've only been to Universal once. I didn't get sick at all on the Simpsons or Journey. I didn't ride Rock or Hulk though. My first real coasters have been like Everest and The Mummy, which I loved both, but never worked my way up to doing the bigger ones or looping ones. Maybe one day.
I guess screen rides don't bother me because I do a lot of VR stuff like with PS4, so I've gotten used to it.
If you're going to Universal it is TOTALLY worth it to get the motion sickness patches from your doctor!!!

I love Forbidden Journey. It’s my favorite. Never been on Simpsons or Minion Mayhem particularly so I won’t get sick. We use Bonine for motion sickness as it doesn’t cause drowsiness like Dramamine can.
The one that made me sick to my stomach was Back to the Future. I was shocked how I reacted.

Some motion sickness happens when there is a conflict between actual motion and simulated motion, which is why you felt queasy during Bourne. An IMAX movie can take me down for two days for that reason.
My mom also got sick in Hagrid’s. The dad is not the only one.
So question for y’all. Is there a 4DX theatre in Orlando and have you seen a feature length film in 4DX?

My friends wanted to go on the Simpson’s ride and I am so glad we didn’t now because the line was 100 minutes and I said “ heck. I am NOT waiting and hour and a half for a frickn Simpson’s ride”. 😂. So glad we moved on.
Also when we went on the screen ones I never got motion sick but I felt super nauseous often we got home I started getting the wave of the nauseous ness.

The one time I've gotten real motion sickness at universal was last September I rode forbidden journey three times in a row. I had an express pass and the first two times were so awesome so I hopped on that third time and then immediately regretted it haha I felt horrible the rest of the night
What anti nausea medication works best for people ? Sometimes I get cotton mouth or sleepy with them. Forbidden Journey, 100% the worst I've ever been on, eyes closed for every screen. Simpsons yes and then Transformers, get on Ok in Spiderman though. 2nd half of the Hulk is tough going, always wobbly after that. If you're prone to motion sickness, the more 'queasy' rides you do it culminatively gets worse. I limit myself to 3 big coaster rides a day, otherwise it adversely affects your whole day and sometimes the next. I also don't get on well with elevators !!
I totally got sick last time I rode Hulk. I was on the day after a migraine, so I was super sensitive anyway. I was ok until I smelled food, then I just prayed until I got off. I managed to get off and away from the exit area before losing it. 😂

Aaah the simpsons' cold sweat xD close your eyes and breathe xD ... and harry potter sometimes at quidditch...still ALWAYS ride them hahahaha the other rides are fine ;)
