Igor seems like such a genuinely nice guy trying to give back to his community after having received help himself. Amazing video Kurt, so authentic and raw. Can someone set up a donation site for Igor and his gym?
Excellent video Kurt. Thank you for bringing us closer to the life of favela guy, I have always wondering how is it and my big wish is to see Rio de Janeiro. Saudações da Croácia!!
So cool! I went to Rio in 2010 and went to check out a BJJ gym near Ipanema, I just wanted to go and watch, next thing they're getting me to join in training. I ended up staying in Rio for a year, amazing people, doing capoeira in the favelas too. This brings back good memories. Valeu Kurt!
This clip had a profound affect on me. Igor exudes such good positive energy. Being able to experience all of this first hand must make you feel incredibly alive.
Kurt, you outdid yourself in capturing Igor's story in the way you did. The video portrays a young man from humble beginnings attempting to enrich the lives of everyone he meets. Bravo Igor. Stay the course with humility and there is no doubt you will succeed.
Espero ver o Igor nos grandes campeonatos, sempre bom ver pessoas que vieram de baixo se superando e dando a volta por cima, e não indo pro caminho errado.
You won't believe it! A dissagreement started in a club in Denver Colorado. My brother was being attacked by 2 thugs. I joined in to help him. Someone grabed me around the neck. What I had seen on this episode in the gym showed me how to get out of the hold and reverse the situation. Thanks to Igor and the older gentleman and to you for bringing the meathod to me. I have started to study Jui-Jitso. All the best!
Wow, amazing 57 minutes of my life spent on something that's worth it. I can't express how much I enjoyed this video. So many amazing people and places. Thank you so much Kurt and Igor.
This video offers an authentic glimpse into the vibrant heart of Rio de Janeiro, steering clear of clichés and diving deep into the city's genuine culture. With its down-to-earth approach, Kurt captures the raw essence of Rio's streets, its people, and their daily lives, painting a vivid picture that resonates with both locals and outsiders. It's a refreshing take that showcases the true spirit of Rio beyond the postcard views. Well done and thanks!! Look forward to see Igor with you again one day.
Really liked the video Kurt. Loved hearing a story about how he could turn his life around for the better in an area that is so hard to. Hope all the best for Igor, Yourself, and any others reading this
Igor reminds me so much of Charles Oliveira, hopefully we can do a GoFundMe or make some noise to the UFC to have him in the contender because he deserves it!
Maybe your best video yet. Amazing people and Igor is a true hero with a great mission. Kurt thanks for giving us this glimpse into life in Rio and how people live a purposeful life in wanting to lead the young to a better life via Jiu-Jitsu and close ties. Much appreciated and much respect ...
Thanks Kurt, brings back memories for me. In 1987 and 1988 when I was 25 and 26 years old I spent about 4 months in Brazil. I was in Rio and other states as well. Thanks for the memories!

💯💯💯💯💯
Espero ver o Igor nos grandes campeonatos, sempre bom ver pessoas que vieram de baixo se superando e dando a volta por cima, e não indo pro caminho errado.
🙏 Deus abençoe tambem gostei do cria 👍
sei n cara, no video aparece ele aparentemente vendendo droga
You won't believe it! A dissagreement started in a club in Denver Colorado. My brother was being attacked by 2 thugs. I joined in to help him. Someone grabed me around the neck. What I had seen on this episode in the gym showed me how to get out of the hold and reverse the situation. Thanks to Igor and the older gentleman and to you for bringing the

Such a nice humble warrior. A positive, intelligent guy is our igor. Love from 🇬🇧

Exactly reminds me of Charles Olivera also..

So happy to see other ufc fans watch this guys channel!
He would have to also train and learn another martial art focused on striking. Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Taekwondo, etc etc. UFC is MMA
Would love to see Igor get some training in with the guys at Chute Boxe Academy
Maybe your best video yet. Amazing people and Igor is a true hero with a great mission. Kurt thanks for giving us this glimpse into life in Rio and how people live a purposeful life in wanting to lead the young to a better life via Jiu-Jitsu and close ties. Much appreciated and much respect ...
Thanks Kurt, brings back memories for me. In 1987 and 1988 when I was 25 and 26 years old I spent about 4 months in Brazil. I was in Rio and other states as well. Thanks for the memories!
Cool. What were you doing, working ? Studying? Partying? 😎
Can we take a moment to appreciate this high quality entertainment? I‘m speechless man, keep doing your thing. Kurt is such a motivating inspiration for the world.
This was soo good. What a guy igor is. I wish him success.
Eddie Bravo, Sublime, this kid is the best. Get him the shine that he deserves. Your a good man Kurt
Kurt, you are the man. I love how raw your videos are. No music, text or any distractions that take away from the authenticity of your experiences. It always feels like I am there riding through the favelas with you. Keep it up🔥🔥🔥
Charles Do bronx, UFC champion, also grew up in the São Paulo favela and became the organization's top finisher and UFC bonus record holder. Charles do Bronx takes with him the motto that "the favela won". May Igor grow in the sport. Jiu-jitsu saves.
Charles Oliveira and Igor started out in jiu-jitsu under similar conditions, but made different choices. Early on, Charles went to MMA and Igor stayed true to his martial arts roots.
This guy is really inspiring. I wish him all the best

As a student of Eddie Bravo and long time Jiu Jitsu practitioner, I have to say I really appreciated this episode. If I ever go to Rio I will look for him.

This is one of my favorite videos on all of TH-cam. There was something magical about the way you two enjoyed that wonderful day hiking to the waterfall, travel through his neighborhood and a tour of his home and dogs. It gave us a special glimpse of Igor’s life. He is magnificent, a rare treasure and so are you. Thank you for sharing his story and bringing us along for a ride. I can’t wait to visit Brazil 🇧🇷!
Love that you didn't title your video "Horrific motorcycle crash in Brazil!!!" like some sites would have done. I love how real your videos are, and feel like they are truly showing us how nice peeps all over the world can be!

Good on you brother! How is it going? I’ve been training for about 12 years now and I’m nowhere near Igor’s level of course but it’s the thing I enjoy most in the world. His story is so inspiring especially how he refused to let bad situations beat him down but also how he wants to give back & save more youth in the favelas.
