    You are the man! I wish more guys in the Facebook Fummins groups would watch you! Everyone wants big compound setups, big injectors, and the engine runs like crap or the EGT’s are through the roof! Thanks for all the videos Rob! Also, thank your wife for being patient!😂 Much love brother❤

    Many thanks for this and your other videos. Totally new to the 6BT and P-pumps. I am in the (slow) process of converting an old Bedford 4x4 firetruck to a 6BT and Allison 2500 auto here in Australia. While powering up my 6BT (a 215hp UK built engine ) is not an immediate concern (it represents a doubling of Hp and Torque over the original petrol/gas engine), your videos are helping me understand what does what etc. Cheers from Oz and thanks again. Greg

    I appreciate the time and willingness to share your knowledge and experience in every video I have seen you do.
    I have heard to talk about this bench setup before and FINALLY found this video which shows how. I did a few of the mods already but have not done the spring yet. Next on the list. My 47RE has just been rebuilt and my transmission guy has the foresight to ask if I am going to put more power to it than stock. OF COURSE I am. So, he put some extra goodies to handle the mods.
    Your videos are my go to for my 96 5.9 I have been subscribed ever since I found you, keep up the good work.

    Great info for the new guys out there. I've done all the mods, but didnt put the max travel nut on because forums and such say not to put it on a 215hp pump...is that true? Anyone else have any comment because Rob asked us not to do this.

    • @CUTTERUPROB

      With the 215 pump you have to watch the travel doesn’t go to far as the you will loose powe r

    Great videos....... Is there any reason to do this mod and spring change with the 180hp pump #8 fuel plate installed, stock injectors, BHAF filter and an automatic transmission? I'm looking to get better power while towing with 3.54 gears. Runs well now but of course who doesn't want more power?

    • @CUTTERUPROB

      just adds a bit more control with the afc

  • @reitzy69

    so what's more travel of the rack actualy do? more rpms or more fuel or what?

  • @nategunn2830
    @nategunn2830 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks Rob good stuff. I'm having troubles after doing the max travel kit ,and other mods. My pedel is hard to push until the rpms go up. Assuming it has nothing to do with my linkage. Do you think that's related to the AFC or governor adjustment. I was having trouble getting the smoke out so I turned everything down, AFC all the way back, smoke screw all the way out. As soon as I hit 1 lb of boost it's crazy powerful but very doggy off the line and still a little smokey.

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Have to do the afc tuning. Your holding the fuel back to the afc moves. Play with how the afc is located and the star wheel

    • @nategunn2830
      @nategunn2830 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks that did it! Now it's fast off the line and faster when the boost kicks in. It's hard to keep the tires on the road.😎

  • @jpop2499
    @jpop2499 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for posting. I pushed the AFC all the way back to the rear, released all the spring tension on the star wheel and backed the pre-boost screw out until it just touches. But it won't crank in this position. Had to crank in the pre-boost screw about 2-1/2 turns before it would crank. Is this normal? Even full throttle would not crank until I turned in the pre-boost screw.

    i got just under 15mm when i modded mine. i have thought about trying to get the starting point farther back. i think that’s where your getting more than me. i wonder what the difference is.. with my smoke screw all the way out the diaphragm is just neutral. i wonder how your getting a starting position a bit farther back than me. hmm. did you grind the raised ridge on the inside of the afc cap? the small ridge around the smoke screw on the inside?

    • @nategunn2830
      @nategunn2830 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you get rid of the cup washer and grind the foot?

      @@nategunn2830 I ground the barrel on the foot yes. Max travel looks to be at the same ending point as me.. But my starting point is not that far back. i ground lip off washer. i know some guys use thin washers. gonna have to dig back in.

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on what your doing with the truck. Most of the time tight it till it opens around 38psi. If you can keep it cool at that point then you need more turbo

    • @nategunn2830
      @nategunn2830 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don't have to do the max rack plug it just gives you a little more travel. You can still produce crazy power without it

    wouldnt having a broader fuel range through the boost range improve efficiency? full fuel at 20 psi sounds like a huge waste. especially if unloaded. i want a powerful truck, but i also wanna keep it to where i can just drive and have as best efficiency as possible

    • @CUTTERUPROB
      @CUTTERUPROB  ปีที่แล้ว

      In a stock engine you want to fuel to be full fuel around 20psi. As they only build 25-27 psi of boost stock. I set performance ones 40-50 psi depending on the setup.
