Many years ago when i did the mods to my Afc to gain a bit more power i also added the 3 k governor springs ..i thought it was suggested to change the valve springs to use the 4 k kit . I going to do that at some point to use a exhaust brake when i get one ....after i installed the g56 my truck would smoke a lot more if i was not careful with the throttle.. That gets old pretty quickly.
@@decentgarage yeah once you experience it you definitely get spoiled. Anytime I’m in 5th gear it feels so nice to flip that switch and hear those rpms drop and the speedo just keeps climbing.
One thing I like is to leave the star wheel all the way down ...then turn the smoke screw till you feel tension on it and then go 3 full turns ...it will be pretty close there
Ive never seen someone do a "0-60 pull" at half throttle and shifting 1000 rpms early Truck would probably be 30-40% faster if you used all of the engine
My stock 96 will hit 30-35 psi of boost everything is stock and nothing is adjusted, never timed it to 60 but doesnt feel under powered My 94 has an issue and is either not building boost or isnt adding boost fuelling going to investigate tomorrow suspexting afc diaphragm is torn

29 two years ago , 50-100 now for the very same chinese imported afc springs...gotta love american greed...
