That is so sweeet. It is pretty much on point with the realism factor. I do have questions, what is the balance point, is more front-heavy or more rear heavy? The sawback chassis wise is more realistic due to the leaf springs but which one performs better?
This would perform better due to the 4 link suspension. All modern crawlers use this setup.
RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 i like a lot of detail in my RC which ones will give me the most bang for the buck mate ??
Finally got to actually sit down and watch this, really cool Jeep. Can’t believe they make RTR’s that look like that 41 does. Beautiful
Definitely looks cool 😎
That MB jeep is bloody beautiful.
Couldn't agree more
Cushioned seats !!! Whatttttttt . The detail is really good on it. And I actually like the fact it has a crawler based chassis underneath . I can only look at something for so long on the shelf before I want to go and use it . That engine bay would look wicked painted up 👍
Yeah wouldn't take much in the engine bay
Perfect candidate for a 4 stroke engine conversion.
Yeah man. Definitely! I have another one for that 😊👍
I currently have a 1/10 Leopard tank for sale on ebay designed for a 4 stroke 😊 - www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-10-Leopard-Tank-R-C-2A3-Giant-remote-control/324146042891?pageci=feb9d5cc-d35f-4f61-b87e-f2dc49045688

This is exactly what I wish existed when I was a kid
your videos are more fun to watch than the news
Awesomeness
I have 2 of these so far will buy more............the only bad thing that I found on these is you can not remove the gas can because it is screwed to the holder which is screwed to the jeep........tried to remove mine to replace it with a more to scale gas can with a removable cap and found out that you would have to unscrew both the gas can and holder to remove it.......I suppose if you get some shorter bolts and nuts and reverse them and bolt the gas can holder back on to the jeep that way it would work but the bolts would need to be very short so they don't stick out beyond the back seat and stab your guys in the back.....he he he........all in all a awesome looking jeep with great details.......number 1 on my list........by the way I am currently going to add a scale antenna and mounting bracket and radio set to this with wiring going from the antenna to the back of the radio to make it look like it's connected.......so cool...........my 9.11" scale Army action figures fit good in these jeeps a must buy
Dude! That this is so scale looking. Consider me impressed
Definitely Tony
Nice model, great review and great to see you so stoked on it :D
Regarding oil in shocks, it won't make any change to the ride height (unless you overfill them for hydraulic lock), heavier oil just slows their response. Wind the collars and/or find stiffer springs ;)
Cheers mate. I should have some lying around that might work
Incredible value, for so much detail. Great job Rochobby.
Look forward to seeing it crawl.
Cheers mate
hi! i wonder why on the front axel a link is missing? if you look on the rear axelar 4 links and on the front are 3..i analised and it looks like it can be fit there with no problem.. but why is missing? thank you i wait your reply! have a nice day!
This is just how it comes
There is only 3 because they have put a panhard link across the front. No idea why they did it. This bothered me so I added the missing rod and left the panhard there. You can get every piece from Monkey Hobby. Nyms.
not had a new car for a while. thought I maybe had enough (21). no longer. this looks wicked (22)
Wow.! Man...this is a beautiful model!!
Cheers man
Looks great Steve. Excellent addition and that price👌
Much appreciated brother
great presentation of this jeep, really very realistic, 👍👍👍
Thank you
Beautiful, but mine is broken after 10 min of use.... when easily touched pieace of wood under... the front bridge broke.. so disapinted of low quality... and i order new front bridge more than month ago.. but still have to wait a lot..becouse very requested.... bad
Way cool! It does look a little small ( he's looking over the windshield). This is a great release. It will sell out quickly. Then you'll see them on ebay for BIG bucks. If I had the $$ I'd preorder it in a heartbeat.
Looks awesome and great detail😎👍
Cheers
I preordered one a few days ago, can't wait till it arrives.
Sweet
Got be best SCALE crawler rtr so far ... amazing ....!!!
Definitely
That is a sweet unit, ready for Mods to Leaf Spring.. Nice.
Most definitely
I look forward to reviewing new tanks in 1/16 and installing TK 6.0 on old tanks from the previous video ... 1/6 scale is great for me ....... Good luck! Great channel and live reviews!
Cheers man
As an owner of several of the real Willys MB / Ford GPW Jeeps and trailers im impressed by the authenticity of the lines, dimensions, placement etc. Way better than the Ultimate Soldier 1/16 and as good as the Dragon Slat Grill MB. Only glaring faults asthetics waise when upright is that A) the spare wheel has the brake drum hub flange protruding when being a spare it should be just an open hole so that would be the first thing i do is drill out the centre. And B) the side rails of the chassis are noticeably narrower in relation the width of the grill/lower front mudguard skirts as they should be the same external with as those. Not noticeable at the rear cross-member but is to an anorak like me at the front bumper with them protruding beyond the body in the front. Will i buy one to play with when my full size babys are parked up, you bet.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I would love the real thing 👍
Have one on order & can't wait! I'm finding out 1/6 scale WWII army figures are not cheap nor readily available. Perhaps if this Jeep sells well, somebody will come out with an appropriate reasonably priced figure to go in it.
You can get them figures on banggood.com
Awesome video, it's about time someone brought one out. Price is good too.. Its a must have, Thanks for sharing 👍
Looks Epic with the 1/6th figure inside.. Scale as, Real good looking crawler.. Can understand why people keep these rc's as shelf queens.. Upholstered seats??!!!! Really!! That's crazy!!!
Love the review Steve!! Thanks Mate
Cheers man, pretty awesome ay
Hey Steve, your driver is nearly half the price of the Jeep. Did a quick Google of your driver, his approx $150+AUD. I was thinking of one as I to need a driver. Keep up the great work
Yeah he is pretty rare now I think 🤔
Very Cool I love the look of it so scale looking, I have seen the advertising for it here on TH-cam and now you doing the unboxing I like it even more, Thanks for sharing that with us.
Definitely cool ay brother! 👍
I got one for Xmas and also bought the trailer for it awesome.
ABSUGULOOOLY LOVE THAT JEEP ! YOU really got me messed up now ! I've saved for a x max but I think I need one of those for sure ! Very realistic looking
Hahaha sorry mate 😂
awesome 1941 war jeep, great unboxing
Cheers
just spoke to FMS and they will be stocking full spares mid May onwards...sold
Awesome
I can't wait for mine to show up!
Awesomeness
I wanna get one and put some 1.9s and scale crawler tyres on it!
Would look pretty good
Like the gmade military rims?
Excellent video.
Glad you liked it!
This is amazing they really did a great job this is definitely a must have👍🏻🤘🏻😀💯
hey what's up buddy how you doing honestly beautiful video and wonderful channal i bought this jeep willys mB is awesome and the details are very sabtle but i wonder why the battery case come under the body why not come from front in the hood must put it battery case in the hood not under body even he not comes with tools like any rc when you buy it
well thx dude we wants more video
peace.👊
I love it. I want a couple of them. Very nice.
Got one on pre order, can't wait to receive it, they claim it's a 1941, yet the early willys had a slatted steel front grill and not a pressed steel one, like this has got, the 41 also had no glove box lid which this also has. Not sure I like the negative camber on the front axle, but still a fantastic scale model for the price, you couldn't build one for that👍🏻 great video thanks for sharing.
Definitely looks cool
Been collecting 1/6 for many years... I can't recall any release of a vehicle, artillery piece that was 100% historically accurate. At any price. Having to get the reference books, tools and modelling supplies out is a must if complete accuracy is your thing. At this price point, for a functioning, tough and seemingly very capable big ass rig, minor 'errors' can be lived with, IMHO. Even the nasty coil overs, which have to be the first starting point for the WW2 period look anyway, surely? 😁
Hvala Brate 🇺🇸
Thank you Brate
I have 2 questions 1- how did you keep it from flying off the table when you turned it on? 2- how do you re-adjust the speed controls so that the remote trigger won't be too sensitive I had mine on the floor turned on the remote sat the remote down turned on the jeep and it unexpectdently went full speed crashing into my desk leg before I could catch it breaking the front passenger side wheel steering hub and link...........
Hello There, I love your video I just bought one I like it too.
Good choice!
Very cool kit Steve can't wait to see it run 👍
Numbers on the hood: the 20 is correct but there should only be 5 or 6 more numbers representing the last 5 or 6 numbers of the VIN. Of course the first ones produced up to 99,999 would have the 20 plus the last five of the VIN. The first one of the production over 100,000 would then have the 20 plus the last 6 of the VIN. Another possible mistake ( not absolutely certain of this ) the Circle around the Star on the hood was added after D-Day 1944. So if they are claiming this to be a "1941" model, the Star would be larger and void of the Circle and the numbers on the side of the hood would be a total of only '7'. Thank You
If the star on the hood is cicled so also the stars on the side must be circled.
I’m so looking forward to getting one! They look so awesome!
Cheers man
Neat scaled model jeep
They have done a great job
@@RCTanksTrucks247 I agree Steve, decently priced too, have a good weekend mate and be safe over there in the East 👍🇦🇺🍻
Yea Sure love the Willy Jeep Totally Awesome Video
I love the jeep and debating on getting 1. I like the 4 link and understand why they went with it but me personally it definitely needs to be modified to a leaf spring set up,lol. Still dig it and still might get 1 but gotta ask The Boss if I can add yet another rc to the collection 😆
Don't ask just do it 😊
@@RCTanksTrucks247 oh trust me I would but being we're expecting our first child in about 2 months,I def don't wanna piss of a pregnant woman 😆😆
Awesome jeep!!!
That is pretty cool might have to grab one for myself
Awesome model, really a great kit....love it
Totally agree mate
is it a coincidence that the video is exactly 19:41 long
Wow! That's awesome. Didn't even realise that. 😂
the model tempts me well, but I see that there is no battery, nor charger. what is the model that goes on it and where to find it? thank you
nice....cant wait for mine to come in....
Nice Jeep 👍
Thanks 👍
This is a beautiful scaler! The body and the axle housing is plastic, but is are the wheels plastic too?
Yeah plastic but real beadlocks
I wonder if it's possible to put a more grip tire on those original wheels , that would really make it a good crawler I'm thinking
You probably put normal style rims and tires
I'd love to keep the military wheels with better tires on them , mudslingers ?
I ordered a Willy's Jeep body for my txr4 blazer , that blazer body is cool but very top heavy
Nice i have one of them in original sice, built in 1944.
Wow I would love to have one
OMGOSH OMGOSH! I must have! Very sweet indeed. I have a 1:6 scale WWII Jeep but it is not an RC one. And why am I not getting my notifications? Grrrr! I digress. lol toodles, debs from Texas.
Definitely is a awesome car. Appreciate your comment and glad you like it
Nice I want one for my G.i joe seal team wow ! Um on it going to buy one Quick! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome and thanks for watching
Woww.... Bellissimo modello... Molto realistico... Ma dove si acquista il personaggio???... Mi dai informazioni ???.. Ciao mitico !!!
Awesome video of an awesome Jeep, mine is on the way, really looking forward to it.
Nice 😊
Is it delivered in an outer plain box, as delivery heroes always seem to add the free damage service by dropping, kicking or throwing anything bigger than a book?
Mine was delivered as is just with extra bubble wrap
@@RCTanksTrucks247 Good stuff. If the company distributes worldwide, this kit should do well. They judged the detail just about right, as it works as a standalone model for all those who love the Willys Jeep. It will be nice if they create the same realism with other iconic vehicles.
Have you tried fitting Toyan engine on this yet? I have ordered the Jeep and a Toyan engine but probably won't get them soon, so just wanted to see if the engine at all fits?
I have one coming what Battery do I need for the jeep? Thanks can't wait
Just a 2-3s lipo battery. Capacity around 4000-5000mah
Please do you have a link for this 1/6 figure and the brand? Thanks a lot
Do they offer the standard type stick controller instead of the wheel type?
No, 99% of rc cars use the wheel type now
Looks to me like it shares some components with the Double E 1/8 Defender underneath. Not my cup of tea but looks awesome buddy!
Nah I don't think so. It's overall much better quality that's for sure.
@@RCTanksTrucks247 obviously you can see better having both there together but the axles and shock mounts look the same too me!
Would it be possible to get a leaf spring mod to it
Love the look of that!
Definitely looks good
Hey, das ist ein echt gutes Video über den Jeep.
Hast du super vorgestellt und erklärt das Modell!
Hat mir sehr gut gefallen und ich schaue gern wieder vorbei.
Gruß von Basti's RC Channel
Does it come with battery for the car
Many rc trucks sir
What battery have you got in the jeep, as it doesn't come with one from stock when bought
2s 4000 mah or there abouts
@@RCTanksTrucks247 what kind of connector? And brand?
Has the receiver got a spare connector for additional micro servo, to operate a 1/6 scale figures head etc
Yeah from memory it does
Awesome Jeep mate, I too love me WWI and WWII. Are you going to do a running video?
Yeah of course. Videos are too long if I do a running video and unboxing etc 👌👍
@@RCTanksTrucks247 Ok cool, can't wait man, your videos are EPIC!!
What Hex size wheels does it use ?
Just ordered one :)
I have already ordered one and am looking forward to receiving it c")
magnifique !! 😊 merci pour la vidéo...
I am having a horrible time finding a ten scale millitary star decal for my Willy's Jeep project , I prefer white ,any help would be greatly appreciated , thank you !
so how does this compare size/realism wise to the HG military models, especially the P408 1/10 scale? for me the HG models also give you a realistic chassis (and more metal) so both vehicles' price points are very acceptable.
Cool
Awsome!
A ton of the guys in the forums already preordered it. Seems everyone loves it (but Harley Design, who will of course complain about the poor and cheap Chinese design of the chassis ;-) ).
I think it is great especially for the price you cant really complain
He would only really be mad if they had put it on leaf springs like a real MB Willy's
@@BlueDually4x4 Made my Day ;-)
But he did already say, that even he would put a doll (driver) in such a car :)
Hi there, I love them as well, it’s pretty much my all time favourite vehicle. If you take out the seat bases, the 1/6 figures look better, instead of the driver looking over the windscreen, they look through it,way better. I can’t wait to get my one ordered up. Does it not come with the canvas hood, have you to buy it separately?. I’ll be painting the underside army green to match the body, really don’t like it black. They had an extra leaf on the driver side springs to accommodate the extra weight of the engine, as it sits over to the left......I think 🤔. Great video. 😎👍👍👍
Yeah the canvas roof is optional
Mikey, sorry to say the engines are not over to the left. They are central. The extra leaf “spring helper” was to counteract the fact that the vehicle always has the driver, with or without passengers so they tended to sag to the drivers side. That helper spring was to help prevent that. Cheers
Yes they did have the Torque Reaction spring fitted to the front left spring pack from early 1943 but earlier jeeps did not have them unless retro fitted in field so dont worry about it not being there. The springs main purpose was to counter the extra axle role causing a swerve to the left on hard braking due to the extra weight of the slight left offset of the engine in the chassis to allow clearance at the right for the front driveshaft and diff head whith is offset to the right of the axle compared to central as on the rear axle. Also even with the spring the real jeep leans usualy to the left slightly due to extra weight of the gas tank under the drivers seat and having a person in that seat more than the passengers one works that side suspension more.
Hi, what is the best RC car model ? jlb cheetah 21101 120A or vrk bison v3 120A or another model on 300$ ? Thanks
At that price point I would get the jlb or even the cheaper arrma cars
@@RCTanksTrucks247 For example the ARRMA Granite 4X4 3S BLX ? In my country he cost 390$. I have watched on banggood the dhk zombie cost 330$ and the dhk maximus 410$ they are Better then the arrma cars or the jlb ?
Super 👍👍👍👍 fantastic 👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great jeep..
👌
Is that a 10 inch figurine?
Not a ‘41. Not supposed to have stamped grill, notch on front grill, jerrycan, glove box door, fender black out light, shovel would have been all OD, etc. these features were found on ‘42 production and onwards. Invasion rings around the star were a D-day thing in 1945
(Proud owner of a real, very early production (VEP) ‘42 MB)
Pretty cool though, more accurate than most I’ve seen.
Ps: it’s typical for a jeep to lean to the drivers side.
Thanks for your input mate. Great to know. Congrats on your car. Awesome.
Welcome. I have a small question. I have a Subaru AWD model from Kyosho. I have a Front Oneway Unit mounted on the front and Rigid Axle on the back. The transmitter is KT 531-P. The motherboard is FHSS. I want to change the standard brush motor to the X-SPEED V brush motor too. I mean drift. You've had contact with this more powerful engine. Is it worth installing the X-SPEED V engine? Is it much better than standard. How does this more powerful engine work during drift. It makes sense.I want to play drift. I have floor panels and I will drift on them. This more powerful engine has better torque. I wonder if it will be better to drift than standard.
What dealer did you buy the jeep from mate, dont seem to be available in New Zealand, did you get it in Oz, if so can you post the supplier
Sent from the manufacturer. But check out the link in the description
@@RCTanksTrucks247 Ahh i checked that link out yesterday but it gives a code stating they do not ship to New Zealand
I think it looks cool and all! But it would have looked more realistic if the suspension where leaf springs instead.
Yeah at least it is easy to convert
Where did you get your Ltd? I am living in Switzerland, and I am excited about your video :-)
Amazing 👍 I love it
AMEI ESSE JEEP .... SOU DO BRASIL CIDADE DE PERUIBE
I just ordered the 1/10 scale Jeep, Hope it’s as good as yours great video and jeep
Awesome
ooohhh I am a fan of the Willys MB. Might just pick one up. Pretty nice. Does it have enough balls to climb things, though? I've seen other jeeps like this tested and they struggle to climb over a pebble because the motors just torque out.
Yeah most definitely does. It's just like any other modern day crawler. Same as a axial etc. Very capable rig.
@@RCTanksTrucks247 Ahh good that's my concern with it. I think it was Kev Talbot's coverage of a different scale Willys that showed it had no balls. His was super super dirt cheap though, like sub-60 bucks off Banggood, and it had one of those tiny little motors in it like you'd find inside a winch for a normal crawler.
I do think I'll dump the shock oil from mine entirely. The real Willys MB was a bouncy little shit(To the point the GIs in the back would get flung out entirely if the driver wasn't careful!) and I'm a sucker for scale even in how it drives. Also put FPV on it I think.
@@TestECull there are a few running videos of it. You can check RC ICORT on youtube. He has a running videi and give you a good impression of his climbing abilitys
