Mike I'd never heard you mention Charles Poliquin, but I knew Matt was always a big avocate of his. I should have known you'd also have a huge respect for Charles though. Just glad to hear it, he was really was a special person.
That is the safest way to squat look how straight his back is he’s using his quads mostly on the movement, which is how it should be.. regular barbell squats that’s very very difficult to do that kind of form. You have to keep the weight light
Great video. I liked the Hatfield squats off the box with a slower tempo. I've done them before, but never to a box or going slower. I just grabbed the uprights of the power rack, so I really liked the idea of putting the bar in front like that. :-)

Hello Mike - what is the reason for making the squat a hip-dominant (instead of a quad-dominant) movement when there is the deadlift that is naturally a hip-dominant exercise? Isn't it an unnecessary overlapping of the 2 main exercises (squat and deadlift) in terms of the muscle groups targeted? Great videos nonetheless. All the best from Poland.
