WOW this is a real treat. One of my favorite songs.I fell in love with This Mortal Coil's recording never knowing the original composer. then to Gene Clark and to this. each just epic. amazing composition, arrangements, lyrics, real treat.
Wow what an amazing song!!! After listening to it 4 times in a row (actually the very first four times that I listen to it) , I can only think of Clark as a true genius. Great with the Byrds, Great on his own. It is very sad he passed away too much prematurely. Beatiful!
this is like the greatest crossover event of all time! Future Islands, Fleet Foxes, Beach House, The Walkmen, Grizzly Bear, Fairport convention, The National, and more all in one. Actually a dream come true
It was made in the era of 3 minute pop songs; David Geffen, the record company executive who gave Gene Clark the opportunity to make it was so angry that it cost $100,000 to make and did not have one 3 minute pop song on it refused to promote it. Gene Clark was a very sensitive man who hated performing live and flying around on tour, so he didn't promote it much either. Then it was taken off the available catalogue and disappeared. Many people told stories of picking it up for a dollar on a throwout table and being shocked how good it is. Gene Clark was ahead of his time; and also not his own best friend at times. Very sad all around.
a number of things. Very weird cover for 1974. Weird uncommercial songs for 1974. Gene didn't tour, either. I love the album, but it WAS a bit much for the time.
@@truerosieoh my heart 😢this is the first time I have heard this song or of him. I feel like I have missed so much , and then to hear he has been gone for so long, 😭
If these concerts turn a younger generation onto this awesome hidden gem of an album, then more power to them!
If there's anyone that doesn't need to go to college it's Robin Pecknold
gets better every time i watch. the lead singer is woofy

Sounds exactly like Gene Clark, damn!
No. Lacks the range and the resonance. Nevertheless, the kid done good!
This is an absolutely amazing live performance!
Great cover of a fabulous song by a special talent , Gene Clark
Just amazing. So happy this exists No Other is an amazing album
Can’t stop listening to original then watching this performance the repeating over and over and over
Haunting and beautiful. It's also strange to see Robin Pecknold clean cut!
pure bliss.
He does a good job. Beautiful
Holy Crap. And Jenn Wasner is a backup singer? She has an amazing band herself!
Absolutely brilliant.
Wow, i have tears in my eyes
I do not understand how this album was a failure.

Fantastique !!!
Toute la magie du titre phare de No Other est là... Quel souffle !
Un fan de Gene Clarke à la Réunion ?
This is wonderful. A+
Just fantastic
Amazing! Epic! So true to the original!
Wooow! Spine tingling! That was note perfect.
Forever grateful for this song and this rendition
This song hits the soul like No Other...... pun intended.
This is so goddamned fantastic!
Victoria Legrand in chorous?
hooooooooooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllyyyyyyy shiiiit
Makes me realize how great the original This Mortal Coil version was.
wow very impressive
Wow. Robin went from looking like Jesus to your dad really fast. Still love him though.
Someone please explain to me why I just started crying 2 and half minutes into this song?
Yugen
I lasted 4 ... incredibly moving, not least concidering he never bore witness to this himself. Gene Clark R.I.P.
Me too. I was at this show with a couple of friends and cried a few times. The album was perfect and this loving homage was a gift.
The jab
Having Lee Sklar Sit in for No Other, and play one of the many Bass parts on that one is the only thing that could've made this better.
is that Victoria from beach house?
Sure is... that was such a special performance from everyone.
Alex Scally playing the bass as well
omg
@4:37 caught mirin'
VICTORIA LEGRANDE... THAT IS ALL
Someone give the drummer a 5 hour energy
It makes me sad to see Robin Pecknold that clean cut.
Much sadder that your focus is on that, and not the music.
Generatorhead Who said I didn't listen to the music? It was a joke. Jesus, laugh much?
sounds like "Southern Man" at points, no?
yesss
More like Cowgirl in the Sand to me, but I hear ya…
so disappointed that the music didn't start on the up beat like Gene Clark original.
intro wasn't quite right but great cover overall!
Who are the seven arseholes who don't like that song?
Better than the original.
Oh man, he looks like Elon Musk !
