Turkey and Bulgaria got unreasonably harsh peace treaties as it will turn out that almost half of their populations lives outside than inside of their respective countries. Also Italians were around 5% of dalamtian population at highest and not higher than 20% in cities, and in Istra Italians were never over 50% of population, and in 1900. were just ⅓ of total Istrian population. And on theme about Zadar (Zara), Rijeka (Fiume), Pula (Pola) and Trst (Trieste) Italians there made up maybe a little above 50% but never were absolute majority expecially cities like Trst and Rijeka who were multicultural and never had any majority.
5:45 (If I were the Croatian representative): Yes, Italians do live on the Istrian and Dalmatian coasts. Venice did at one time control these territories, but ethnically, the two are drastically different. According to the Austro-Hungarian census of 1910, Italians are a relative majority of 356,000, or 40%, of the population of the Austrian Littoral, most of whom live along the Adriatic coast. In Dalmatia, however, of its 635,000 people, only 18,000 identify as Italian. Zadar, the capital of the Dalmatian kingdom and the city with the most ethnic Italians, were only shown to represent about 18.6% of its population. If we, the representatives here today, were to give the Dalmatian coast to Italy, it would only heighten ethnic tensions in the region and possibly bring about another ethnic conflict in the Balkans. Let this meeting remind ourselves that the Habsburg Empire, under its domain over numerous ethnic and linguistically separate territories, became both one of the main contributing factors to its downfall and what ultimately started the Great War. What we believe would be in the best interest of the Croatian and Italian peoples would be to draw Istria under ethnic lines and give their respective territory to the nations of their proper tongue, ceding the Italian-majority city of Fiume to Italy and giving the territory once belonging to the Kingdom of Dalmatia to the Croatian state.
So the idea of this project is really really good and i love it. The only issue for me is cleary those players just love alternate history but have 0 geopolitical knowledge, like the british just act as the all powerfull mediator in every theatre with 0 opposition of other great power. And it's a bit sad that the political situation of the state does nothing for the negotiations. Like austria Hungary was a crumbling state way before 1918 and i really think not a single political figure in any old hasburgian land would say that they are good at multi ethnic empire. And the Kayser just couldnt stay in power with spartakyst uprising in Germany. And finaly i dont understant how the wars during négociations would happend that easily and end up in thoses results. Like IRL Turkey fought and won against a fairer treaty against Greece, Britain and France. And you want me to belive they got crush instant against just Britain and greece ? Wile Britain would also be involved in the russian civil War ?

If there is a WWII in this timeline, I can see the Turks being more involved with the Axis. Also, there was no mention of Japan, therefore the Empire of Japan still rises. Also, what about the Irish? Do they still get the Irish Free State or will Indian Independence mean full independence for the entirety of Ireland?
I don’t think Germany or Austria will be as aggressive as they where in our timeline, fascism won’t rise in those countries. But just like in our timeline, you have gifted Italy to fascism, and possibly Spain later.
@@guderianunderlsd here’s another question, was Japan included in this? Because if it was and there was a player, and he didn’t get a say, then japan also falls to fascism.
Greece, Belarus, Serbia and India are probably the biggest winners. Britain gets honorable mention for acquiring so many new important port cities, but the loss of India outweighed all of their gains by a wide margin. Not to mention how India successfully defeating the Empire might have triggered other nationalist uprisings down the line. That move alone probably shaved 10-15 years off of the life-span of the British Empire. Aside from the territorial losses, it sounds like Germany got off with basically a slap on the wrist. No armament restrictions, no reparations, just the cession of land to France and Austria and the loss of their rather meager colonial possessions in Africa. I'd bet the Hohenzollerns wouldn't have too much trouble holding onto power in this scenario, since they probably wouldn't have the same kind of extreme economic depression that the Weimar Republic had to contend with in the '20s. The Kaiserreich has lost the majority of its navy, but has maintained the majority of its population and industry and hasn't been disarmed at all. I think it was an interesting play by Britain to lean so hard into more lenient terms for Germany, probably with the goal of being able to counter the French on the Continent in anticipation of conflict with them in the future. Interestingly, I also heard no mention of Tsingtao, Kaiser-Wilhelmsland or Germany's other Pacific holdings. Did everyone just forget about them, or was Germany allowed to keep it's Asiatic colonies? And as an aside, I find it hilarious and completely justified how basically everyone said "Yeah, screw the Bolsheviks" and just started stripping land away from them 😂
UK player here, the odds were super stacked against the Indians but the mechanic allowed them to win the war somehow they got super lucky. Also, the British empire in this scenario would likely live longer I believe, or maintain a strong maritime presence, as I secured every choke point of the Mediterranean, and off screen I was intending to form some imperial federation kind of thing. I also co owned Cyprus with Greece in exchange for the Gallipoli treaty port. Persia will be good for resources, and I don’t have to worry about middle eastern colonies as much. Although you are probably right, it would inspire other rebellions, India itself tho will be unstable with the Muslim minorities and other ethnicities. Also we didn’t really do armaments and reparations just land exchange
@@solo_leo4454 Ah, interesting. Yeah, if the Empire transitioned into a more federated structure, that would probably buy it quite a bit more life. What about the German East Asian colonies? Did those get parceled out as well off-screen, or were they left in tact?

@@Videntis.History I have a problem

where did you get that map from? i kinda wanna use it
“This is not a peace, this is a 20 seconds armistice”
With all the minor wars over the various concessions, this peace treaty managed to prolong the war if anything lol
The rest of Asia was added to the Medieval Game. So sign up if you want to play in Europe or Asia.

Will there be another one of these
This peace treaty secured peace in europe for long enough so that everyone could reload their guns
« Never ask the British to draw borders » has never been as true as with Greece 😂
hey i didnt want this lol

the russia part is crazy, that would never happen
Yeah the Russians would never and I mean never agree to that
I don’t think Germany or Austria will be as aggressive as they where in our timeline, fascism won’t rise in those countries.
But just like in our timeline, you have gifted Italy to fascism, and possibly Spain later.
Exactly, Italy got even less land of irl, Mussolini will have an easy time gaining support from the veterans
@@guderianunderlsd here’s another question, was Japan included in this?
Because if it was and there was a player, and he didn’t get a say, then japan also falls to fascism.
@@Tonybob12 well It wasn't technicaly fascism but you have a point
Turkey probably too
Man i wish you could have gotten people from the actual nationalities doing this and not just one but like 5 for each Nation duking it out
True it would have been way better as it would make more sense
This is definitely one of the peace deals of all time
Greece, Belarus, Serbia and India are probably the biggest winners.
@@rmartinson19 yea we dealt with them off screen
So, who got which pacific colonies@@solo_leo4454
I feel like, with all the additional conflicts rising from the negotiations, this is more of a history of the late 1910s to the 1930s
