18:08 When you brought up Mufasa's death and mentioned how many of us lost our fathers, I got super emotional. As a kid I would watch the special edition all the time with my dad. I lost him three years ago today, and this movie means more to me than ever before.

The Lion King is one of Disney's finest achievement. Scar is one of Disney's greatest villains, along with Frollo, Ursula, Hades, Sher Khan and Jafar. You're review of this masterpiece is one your finest works, and your skits are a billion times more entertaining than the "live action" remake.

Hey Jack! As far as you mentioning the back story to Lion King at 20:17.
It should be noted that The Lion King was meant to originally be a National Geographic film as opposed to a Musical Coming Of Age story.
Which is what George Scribner envisioned the film to be at first.
And it should be noted that Lion King was a much darker and more screwed up film than the final version of the animated film.
With plenty of incest (Implying that Nala and Simba were cousins)!
Scar looking like a demonic beast from Hell who's the size of a rhino!
Plus him killing Mufasa by snapping his neck with Simba returning home to seek revenge as opposed to bring peace and prosperity back to the Pride Lands with him taking his place in the Circle Of Life!
Not to mention some deleted scenes with Scar wanting Nala to be his queen plus him tossing Simba off Pride Rock during the Final Battle while he burns to death while laughing hysterically!
And it being extremely violent as Hell!
Plus there was a version of Lion King where Timon and Pumba were childhood friends with Simba with it being a film about a war with Lions and Baboons with Rafiki being a Cheetah!
Plus Simba being a lazy pile of trash who was too slothful to be the king!
I would post some links to those deleted versions of Lion King. But TH-cam has a habit of deleting my comments when I post a link to something in a comment!
But I'm pretty sure of it you can easily find videos on it somewhere on TH-cam.
The TH-camr Askari made one or two videos about the deleted versions of Lion King.
Also! As far you as saying Lion King kinda stole some things from Kimba The White Lion (Which is actually called Jungle Emporer)!
Lion King is not a rip off Of Kimba The White Lion just because it's about A Lion Character becoming King Of Africa ruling over everything.
That's like saying Toy Story is a rip off of the novel, Indian And The Cupboard. Just because it's a story about toys coming to life.
In order for something to be a rip off. It needs to steal the majority of the previous stories plot!
Lion King does not do that. If you proof. Just check out Your Movie Sucks Video On Kimba The White Lion.
Which does a very good job of debunking the whole Lion King Kimba debacle and goes into far more detail than I am willing to get into!
Aside from all of that. A fine job done on the review.
God bless you. Keep up the good work. Have a good day. And Merry Early Christmas!

Great review, Jack!! I especially relate to your assessment of the music, not only does it get you nostalgic for one’s youth but it’s great listening to it in tropical countries like Mexico, definitely gets you in the spirit.

The Lion King means something to me because it speaks a lot about a dark time in my life. I lost a friend I care deeply about and I felt responsible. Like how Simba felt responsible for his fathers death. That time of my life was dark enough that I attempted suicide. I experienced betrayal from a girl I was dating at that time and from friends. Like Simba and Mufasa were betrayed. I had my redemption over that dark tragedy, just as Simba did. Like Rafiki said, “Yes, the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it!”

The Lion King is tied with Jurassic Park as my all time favorite movie. It was this film that made the Lion my favorite animal and much like yourself, most of my stories feature a teenage heroic boy as the protagonist and this movie is the main inspiration for it. It's a coming of age story, and those are my favorite types. Its why Spider-man and Nightwing are my 2 favorite superheroes and Simba's journey to becoming King is what my series "Helsing: Rise of the Slayer" is about for the main character Daniel, granted on a more drawn out scale. You've given both of my favorite films 10/10 and that puts a smile on my face. Also, you're next review is of Power Rangers, that was my favorite childhood show. Jack, you're spoiling me.
