I'm really new to some of these catfishing methods. Always used to use a large egg sinker with about a three foot leader with beads and a spinner blade ( that's what i had from boatfishing with bottom bouncers ). Last year i got into some big flatheads using 3/8 leadhead jig with a frog. It worked. But i'm anticipating this year. Alot of snags in my spot so i'm thinking these dragging weights even tho made for boat fishing may help me from the bank. Not a strong current there but the retrieval might be better. Also thinking this tubing will hold some air eliminating the need for a float?

Just keep fishing, dragging weights work on boats or banks they also help set the hook, tight lines!!!!
