It's putting it's life in danger out of desperation for food, because it's mother hasn't been back to feed it for far longer than necessary. She's not coming back.
This was two years ago. The baby deer was left alone for too many days and was picked up by rescue. I do not know if the fawn survived. I called, but had no reply.
