yeah , recently someone said he did not have a choice but to invade, I watch these videos to restore faith in humanity. As of today this gentleman is 10 times better than me , but he inspired me to be better try harder and do more and go to the extra mile doing something good and kind , helping someone or an animal.

This man is among the most incredible people I've ever seen. Lying in a field with that baby deer he helped raise so she could try to have the opportunity to find her own kind...that's a level of human is what we all should aspire to be.
This man should be honored. He never gave up on the baby deer and gave her a chance in life with good legs.This man preserved and reunited her with her mommy. An amazingly beautiful gesture and I am totally impressed with both him and his doggie for giving this little fawn a chance to live with her mom and sibling. A million thumbs up my dear man!!!!
The saddest part is the second look that the deer gives when it’s grown up. The first look is noticing a dangerous human. But the second is as though part of her remembers that at one time he was not so dangerous. A forgotten memory.

caleb underwood honestly that means he did an excellent job. He released her at the perfect time, healthy enough to care for herself but young enough to not be attached to him forever.
Its bittersweet she doesn't remember him but I think some part of her feels familiarity when she sees him. Its good she has gone back to her true home and family, he did wonderfully with this baby 💖
I raised an orphaned black tail three years ago until release at 11 months old. He is doing very well now and it was one of the most satisfying events in my life. Deer are very affectionate and are also keenly aware of their surroundings. I miss my long walks in the forest with him.

My cousin saw him a month ago and I plan on going soon to look for him. Someday I will release all of videos of him, probably a terabyte or more. I think when he said “she didn’t recognize me” he was proud that the dear made a complete adjustment to the wild. His concern was for the dear, he didn’t want it to get attached, knew it may bring her harm.

There's a certain sadness, a certain bitter sweet reality to a young fawn or baby animal that has been saved by a human, growing up, returning to her family and nature and never quite recognizing him again. It feels like a pyrrhic victory and yet we know it is right. And in the end it's still a better and more profound love story than Twilight.

I have literally seen hundreds of these 'save animal' videos. This is still one of my favorites. Probably Top 5 for sure. The matter-of-fact effort this guy made for one, little deer. Not to keep her. But to let her go and be free. Amazing.

This deer stopped like when I drive a bike with light in the night and I shine on a deer. Maybe these deer's are different, than where I am living. I love this man’s beautiful spirit! What an amazing thing he did making a brace for her little leg and allowing it to heal. He saved her life for sure. We found a puppy running alone down our street, a neighborhood with many coyotes. He would have been dinner by nightfall. We searched and searched and never found his home, so needless to say he’s family all these years later. (Signs, 4 websites, scanned - nobody called for him). I love people who care about helpless animals. Always try to find their family - human or wild. They grieve for their babies. God bless you for saving this gorgeous animal.

I personally don’t think she didn’t recognize you, I think her stopping and staring was her recollecting her time with you, but after being with the herd for so long she’s become accustomed to a deer’s natural instinct again is all!
Probably for the best. Being too trusting of humans could be a disadvantage for a deer, like if they tried to befriend a hunter.
Summer Skull I agree with you completely. My thought process on it was she’s just grown accustomed to staying away from humans as part of her nature again, and she was also probably afraid of being left behind again if she had approached him.
Couldn't agree more. If she didn't recognise him, she'd be like "why is this hunter staring me down" and run off.

100% agree. She knew him. She acknowledged him, but she became the deer she was supposed to be, wild and with her pack. Such a sweet story.

A lot of children watch TH-cam for cartoons and Minecraft videos and if a video is recommended to them by TH-cam that doesn't interest them they might dislike the video to tell TH-cam not to recommend any more. There are any number of reasons why someone can dislike a video, it doesn't necessarily mean they hate it, it just means they are not interested in it. That is how I see it anyway.
This guy is a hero. He saved that lovely fawn's life and then gave her back out to the world. We are never so admirably human as when we demonstrate our love for animals.

Any hunter that shoots a doe is a bad or illegal one.
This is what I was worried about. All the effort to return her to the wild, only to have her walk right up to a hunter a year or so later.

They like look, but are way faster of running. This deer stopped like when I drive a bike with light in the night and I shine on a deer.
Maybe these deer's are different, than where I am living. But I feel like the human impact at least makes her feel well at least seeing human.
It's pretty hard to know, if you see as animal a human, if it was the one before one year. Same as I can't say it with animals most likely, but I am also biologycly nab

I love this man’s beautiful spirit! What an amazing thing he did making a brace for her little leg and allowing it to heal. He saved her life for sure. We found a puppy running alone down our street, a neighborhood with many coyotes. He would have been dinner by nightfall. We searched and searched and never found his home, so needless to say he’s family all these years later. (Signs, 4 websites, scanned - nobody called for him). I love people who care about helpless animals. Always try to find their family - human or wild. They grieve for their babies. God bless you for saving this gorgeous animal.

@@dewick134 that is exactly how I would see it too, a pet. But thinking about the quality of life I couldnt care for it anymore. Then what would i do? It's not like a dog or cat that a family member would take in readily. The animal would still be dependent on its human feeding it and would not be safe alone. But i get what you're saying
You’re a good person & wholesome human. Same goes for all of your pets. Pets demeanors reflect their owners. Aggressive people make their pets aggressive which is heartbreaking. Warm & kind people have pets that are nurturing & protective like his pets. That fawn is adorable & she could sense that she was safe with you. Thanks for caring for this beautiful creature.
