    Thank you for viewing this Cessna 182 Flight Review in BHHD! I sure do have a love for Cessna's! This is such a nice model! She is ready to go with all the bells and whistles! Superb performance! Durable EPO Foam construction with full parts support at Banana Hobby! The LED Flight Lights are so super bright! I will be making a dusk time video just to show the lights! Enjoy the flight review! ~ Pete

    I have this plane now for a year. Fly's great. Broke a prop though and replaced it with a more scale one. Need to get a new spinner for it now but it looks and flies awesome. Great job Banana Hobby.

    great plane to purchase from BH. I had it till a recent rudder issues and it now R.I.P but this plane is very giving and easy to fly. Pete's not lying about the scale it's as close as you can get to a balsa wood detailed interior and the trans is gr8 also ...I'll be getting anyone in a few months

    @RiverValleyPhoto: The sport 150 you were talking about is an Aerobat 150, it is rated for +6G to -3G, I have over 100 hrs in this aircraft and I can do inverted flight (only for brief period, because it dosen't have inverted systems) regular and reverse fig.8, snaprolls, spins, split S, barrel roll, aileron rolls. I have done aileron rolls in a Cessna 185 with floats (seaplane). and my Mooney, also not approved. These manuevers require no positive or negative G's. Keep enjoying RC :) :-)

  • @glennissr
    @glennissr 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @RiverValleyPhoto, your quite mistaken it is very easy to do hammerheads in a full size 182, 162, 152, etc. requires no negative "G's" forces only a little extra airspeed for the verticle portion. In fact you can do hammerheads in almost any plane. I have over 3K hours and really enjoy them in my Mooney Mark 21 (1961).

    I have this one Cessna-182 from Bananahobby and happy with it. Good trainer, I even try a "hand launch" - it's possible with some wind ))). The flaps hinges are quite stiff, so I replace them with better ones. It flies good with 3000 mAh 3S1P batteries. Don't love the blue right-wing light (will replace it on green), the second bad thing is dummy beacon tail light (I'll replace it with strobe LED soon) and all navigation / landing lights work all the time (I'm planning to add one add-on channel)

  • @fixerden
    @fixerden 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    The next option is to cover all plane with DocuLam film (I'll do it in autumn). Now waiting a rubber wheels for replace stock ones. And the final step is to add small 1g cam for FPV flights. Maybe, sometime, I'll add retracts ))) for another 182. In conclusion - nice plane even as is, without any modifications (except flaps hinges). I don't understand why some people don't like BH? I bought 2 planes from there. Good service, mail response and fast delivery.

    @UtRadioGuy I taught myself to fly, and it cost me 3 planes (2 of which where before todays cheap :) prices). I finally joined a club and although I could by then fly they taught me how to set the plane up as much as possible to avoid those first crashes. I could have saved a good few £ by just joining a club and letting them help setup and maiden my planes, showing how to trim and check cg etc. My point is you can learn on your own but it's cheaper and easier with help!

    This is going to be my Graduation present this year. It is going to be my second plane along with a cheap air hogs plane. I know you should start with a high wing, and this isnt super fast. I think it will be the perfect plan to start with if you know the basics of flying including how to clime and turn. I hope it will last. GOing to practice on my large open grassy land so if it crashes it will be soft.

    IDEA....You should have a certain flight pattern you fly for every review. With rolls, stall speed, slow flight, loops, tail/flat spins, knife edges', and so on. It's a good way for the viewer to be able to see what every plane can and can't do. I like the reviews, but everyone just flys around with no rhyme or reason. A good flight pattern would really help us see a plane go through the paces.

    You've done aerobatic maneuvers in a normal-category aricraft without a pressurized oil system? Maybe a Mooney could accomplish this, I'll give you that. But a 182? I'd like to see it. I go to school for aviation maintenance, quit trying to pull my leg. You can't do a hammerhead in a 182. Also, a 162 is a lightsport, good luck trying to get that in a vertical attitude.

    orientation is the hardest part of flying, that done it's easy (ish), ONLY if the plane is setup right to fly, if the plane is not trimmed and you have no experience of flying you cannot trim, hard learning curve, lol. Do not be afraid to ask for help!

  • @mazeppa47
    @mazeppa47 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice review. Just a word of advice however. The 1 to 1 scale CE-182 is certified as a normal category aircraft. Flying it in banks exceeding 60 degrees or pitch exceeding 30 degrees may not only exceed the designed limits of the aircraft, it is contrary to Federal Aviation Regulations. Do be careful. I would like to see more of your reviews.

    an rtf version of this plane on the web says it uses a 7.4 v 1300 mah battery. Is that right? Sounds like it would be waaay under powered, fro the size i'd expect at least a 3 cell.

    I have a quick question how durable is the front landing gear on this plane. I just bought the HobbyKing version the front landing gear buckled on a otherwise perfect landing.I'm not sure how hobbykings customer service is but that is a story to be told when they get back with me I just emailed them and we'll see what happens.I like a Cessna 182 but I refuse to buy another one if the front landing gear is not durable. I have the e-flite Cherokee, I hadn't had any trouble out of that one but I'm not sure of that quality of FMS products. ???

    • @bananahobby
      @bananahobby  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are not sure what company manufacturers the Hobby King version. This Cessna we carry, the nose gear is made of metal and we have not encountered any issues.

  • @UtRadioGuy
    @UtRadioGuy 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @nubbynubs123 - To answer you a little bit. Yes it can be as expensive as you want. From $89.00 to over $20,000. You will want to start with a TOP wing plane not too small. The bigger the easier it is to fly. Yes this plane would be a good starter. Now trust me on this...Have someone with you that knows how to fly to help you, or you WILL destroy it. I have taught a lot of people to fly, and some of them will go out on their own after one lesson and destroy the plane. I've seen it happen a lot.
