    Thank you for great tip and warning about Led connection for the vertical stabiliser , I would have struggled too without your help.

    Just a check for anyone also owning this plane. I've got the Hookii version and mine came only with reinforcement in the wings for the center tube. I did notice channels for reinforcement going from the wingstruts to the wingtips but there was no carbon spar in it. You can see the three rectangular openings in the bottom of the wing that are from the mould where normally a spar is layed out on but none was present. The wing flexes quite a bit on the ground bus does not break in flight with a normal roll or loop.
    Is this on all these planes or did they forget to put the tubes in before moulding the wing? I will reinforce this with some flat carbon strips glued in vertically oriented in a 2mm slot.

      Sorry, I do not know the answer. To save cost, some companies selling this no-name model may be ordering it from the manufacturer with different specs, e.g. no additional reinforcement. Good luck with your plane, happy flying.

    About lights, how did you configure them? Any light controllers or connected all the wires to a specific channel?

      Hi Terry. I am gad you enjoyed the video and decided to buy this airplane. I am still enjoying it on weekends.
      If you haven't already, I suggest you watch the second part of this video showing the maiden flight and the overheating of the ESC (which forced me to land the plane quickly, because it was losing power):
      th-cam.com/video/o1wz4Su0R94/w-d-xo.html
      I have another video of it coming up, where I replace the 30A ESC that has been overheating with a HobbyWing 50A ESC and then bind and use my new RadioMaster TX16S transmitter to fly this Cessna 182. So please stay tuned.
      I hope you will have great experience with this plane and many successful flights and landings! Cheers!

    Do you know the center of gravity for this plane? I lost the manual and need to rebalance it

    how much flight time and range?

    • @jmzwiers
      @jmzwiers 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on your flying. I made 14 minutes with mine using a 3S2200 pack. Just cruising along. But with more active flying it will be around 8min.

    Can you put a 4s battery?

    • @PropsWheels
      @PropsWheels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this motor is rated for 3S battery. I would not try a 4S battery, since it may burn out the motor. By the way, it has plenty of power with the 3S battery.

    Is it shock-absorbing nose landing gear?

    • @PropsWheels
      @PropsWheels  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Apologies for the delay responding. No, the nose gear is not shock-absorbing. However, it feels solid and strong. The upper half is aluminum and the bottom half seems to be plastic outside with a metal core.

      Just flew two times with my Cessna and I can say that on a grass airstrip this original nosewheel will bend, even after regular landings. The wire is simply too thin or soft. I replaced mine now with the FMS spring loaded nose wheel and will see how that holds up. I don't expect great improvement there since it uses the same wire diameter to the wheel. I did replace the original spring with a BIC ballpoint spring to soften the suspension and loosened all the hingepoints of the mechanism. Makes for a nice detail now.

      I own three of them since 2014 the V2 nose landing gear it's necessary with tilting 3mm forward like the real one so it can distribute the force i did the same to my phoenix Cessna 182 and don't forget to replace the rudder servo with a metal one
