Amazing!!! I took a Christmas village and painted it black and grey tones turning it into Sleepy Hollow. I added a headless horseman figurine from Michaels's Halloween town miniatures and a covered bridge from eBay dept 56. Added some cheesecloth and moss and some stone walls.
Making my thrift store and estate sale rounds tomorrow morning. I need a toy horse and a Barbie now because this is such a lovey, spooky project and I must do it! So creative. 😍
Late comment but since my DIYs take forever I guess I'll start now. I have a headless Ken doll from when I was a kid and I think I just put him in the garage as a kid. And I found a toy horse in the trash so now I have the 2 essentials in this video. Let's get to making! :)
I had seen your headless horseman idea on YT but had forgotten about it. Was out thrifting today and saw a larger toy black horse. I immediately remembered your spooky horseman and I snatched it up! I now need to find a larger style Ken doll that will fit, wish me luck! I think your idea is so awesome and it's different for Halloween which I really really like!
LOVE IT!!!!!! Great idea !!!!!!! now next time I go to the thrift store I have to look for a horse if I can' t find one I will just buy one . I got to do this!!!!
Good luck on your search! It took me a year to find a horse after I had this idea but then of course they were EVERYWHERE after I finally found that one 🙃
Hi awesome diy. I wanted to know if I use the air dry clay do I still have to paper mache ? I loved your video so much that I decided to try it. I love love love the headless horseman. Great job.
Thank you❤️ yes you absolutely should papier-mâché first. The clay needs some thing to stick to, it won’t really stick to the plastic very well and the papier-mâché will secure the structure so it won’t come apart.
@@brookedarwin I’m really glad I found you on tiktok and then here seriously the amount of work you put into your videos is amazing and the quality of them is really noticeable!
Oh it’s packed away in the Halloween stuff or if measure it for you! It’s a Barbie horse though. Just use your ken doll as a comparison and you should be good!
This is the coolest... I am so psyched to try it. Were you wetting your fingers to get the clay to smooth out and lay better? Idk anything about paper clay - but I'm sure in a few days I will 😄
Yeah paper clay is and air drying clay, like a fine paper mache pulp so I keep a glass of water nearby to keep it moist while I’m working. I use it a lot, I think I might talk about it more in the cauldron video.
I’ve used creative paperclay for years and I adore it. They sell it at Michael’s and Blick art. Joann has it online only or you can order directly through them.

Halloween village over Christmas everytime 🥰🖤
I'm gonna try to make a huge one. For next Halloween. I'm going to build the horse out of chicken wire. And go from there. Thank you for that idea.

It’s AWESOME!!! Thank you for the inspiration! Just curious, What clay did you use?
I use creative paperclay
@@brookedarwin Thank you! I can’t wait to make my own.
Amazing..what brand of paper clay do you use? Yours seems a lot easier to roll then the one I use
I like creative brand
🖤🐎🎃🖤 Great tutorial!!
Amazing
Thanks for watching 🥰❤️
Martha Stewart paint?
Hi! This is great, how tall is the horse? Trying to get the proportions correct! Thank you 😃
Oh it’s packed away in the Halloween stuff or if measure it for you! It’s a Barbie horse though. Just use your ken doll as a comparison and you should be good!
@@brookedarwin thanks so much! Half my basement is Halloween, it takes me a day to get to anything lol
Do you have a picture of the paper clay you used?
It’s Creative brand paperclay. Black packaging. You can get it at Michael’s.
Did you take the foil out of the pumpkin, and if so, how?
Nope the foil is the base, just sculpt right over it. You don’t have to use foil but clay is expensive so I substitute fillers where I can.
This is the coolest... I am so psyched to try it.
