Btw, dream nailing hornet, she has special dialog, being the daughter of the pale king but not the white lady gives her power to question this land, grimm on the other hand being an actual god (god of the nightmares) he knows why he is here and bows to the god seeker.
@@pokewile the fact that hornet knows she is in god home but can't understand why shows that she is at least a half of a higher being because of being daughter of the pale king. And grimm knowing he is in god home and knows his purpose shows that he is a higher being like the pale king.
Sly is tough. Now that you've faced him, you can practice him alone in the hall of gods without having to go through the whole pantheon. The fight is all about timing--you can pretty much only safely get a hit in right after he's finished an attack, so practicing will help you recognize the cues for each attack and how to dodge. Honestly, I found the third pantheon harder than the fourth lmao, and the string of Uuwuu+hornet+sly is the only part of PoH that still gives me trouble (obvs besides the final boss). Also, you don't have to get behind Uuwuu to make sure he gets hit. If there's a jellyfish straight across from Uuwuu, you can hit it towards Uuwuu and it'll stun him, as long as there aren't any platforms in the way. It's still annoying, but probably easier
mozamioo _ only attack during the shield spin and focus on dodging during the nail barrage. for the first phase, only use nail arts (dash slash hits through the shield). for the second phase, use shade soul (or abyss shriek if hes in a good position). try to stick to one platform and weave around the nails. u can move to another platform if he floats towards you or if a nail forces u to do so. avoid the left wall during the nail barrage because the nails can spawn in the wall and hit u
Sly is only scary because of his speed and range. His move set is pretty limited. He generally only uses the double slash into cyclone attack. Also phase 3 is literally only one move, just stand in the middle of the arena and watch from what side he’ll spin. Move away from it and hit him once. Uumuu is annoying but if you bring some souls from the watcher knights, wait for the jelly fish and blast them into him with shade soul. Then just unleash onto him. Also before the fight starts you can get onto one of the platforms next to where he spawns and dream nail him 1-2 times. Markoth tho, I don’t know, have good luck I guess and hope he gets trapped on one of the platforms. I just really don’t have tips for the PoH markoth.
For Markoth I would recommend using nail arts + full spell build, with those charms you don't really have to get close to him during phase 1, because dash slash range is huge, and you can just blast him with shade soul in phase 2, it needs some practice tho (also if you struggle to charge nail arts on controller, you can change attack button to left bumper, it's much easier)
"NOT HERE, NOT WITH GOD TAMER!" is such a mood right now, I've been trying to get the bindings on Pantheon of the Sage and I've died to God Tamer more times than anyone should admit.
I attempted this pantheon yesterday, And I cant fricking kill god tamer, even in the hall of gods mode. I havent fought her on the colosseum cuz im still stuck at the part with no floor.
Please don't do the same mistake as so many others before you: You don't need to beat a boss to fight him in the room with all the bosses. When you saw Sly for the first time and died you could have gone to that room and practiced him there. Same goes for all other new bosses you will encounter in the pantheons. Always practice them in the hall of gods once you see them for the first time.
Yeah, there are special charm interactions when you add similar charms. For example, try fury of the fallen, grubberfly’s elegy, quick slash, and long nail (go down to one mask/health) There’s also a full nail build, full magic build, speed build, and follower build... And F A R T build
Here are some tips: 1. God tamer is easily killed with just pogoing, pogo on the beast all the time, even when it's rolling (but don't pogo it when it's jumping tho) 2. Uumuu-s jellyfish friends (oomas) can be hit face on, meaning you don't have to loop them around you like you tried to. For example if uumuu is to your left, and between you and uumuu is a ooma, you can just kill the ooma and it's projectile will hit uumuu. You can also hit oomas with shadesoul ( this is kinda better to do since you are at a long range ( plus the projectiles oomas spawn will go to the same direction as the shadesoul you fired)) 3. Sly-s biggest weakness are the walls, so be on them until he finishes one of his 2 primary attacks, then just jump down and slap him 1-2 times. Also worth noting that Sly hits 3 times in his primary attacks 1. the one where he jumps goes like: JUMP-SLAM DOWN-NAIL 2. The melee one: NAIL-NAIL-SPIN IN AIR. When he does the air one (remember, you are wall jumping on one of the walls) wait for him to slam down, if he swings his nail (sometimes he will, sometimes he won't) go for a hit, if not stay back. If he does the melee one ( still wall jumping btw) wait for both of his nail strikes (cause he can't change the direction of his upwards spin move after the second nail swing) and then shade cloak through his spin. This should land you right next to him while he is idle, so at best you can dish out 3 swings. When he is doing his nail arts you should do this: 1. Dash slash: he will jump to the furthest part of the arena and he will start giving off white particles indicating his wind up. You will have to jump and shade cloak to the OPPOSITE direction of his dash. After that you should be next to him, hit him at least once during that interval. 2. Great slash: This one he will do at random when he is close to you. This nailart charges very quickly so the only tip I can give you is git gud and double jump out of it. 3. Cyclone strike: he will jump at the middle of the arena ( while floating in air decently high up) and start giving off the same particles. You will have to spam wall jump at one of the walls and he won't be able to hit you. The second phase is very intimidating, but very easy as well. Just position yourself at one side of the arena and face the wall. When he jumps to you, dash as fast as possible, then turn around and slap him ONCE. Repeat this until he drops to the floor. Hope this helps stinky boy, see you in the next video :D
Your method of fighting Sly is kinda odd. I've never found wall jumps necessary on any attack other than the cyclone slash. And even then, i jump off the wall and pogo on him as soon as i'm able to. You jump away from the great slash and shade cloak from the dash slash, i do the exact opposite. For his basic 3-hit combos, you can just space him out. His phase 2 is a pain in the ass tho, what i end up doing is just predicting when he's gonna spin, and timing the desolate dive to not get hit. The saving grace is that Sly has very little health, and if you're at full hp by the end of phase 1, you can quite easily facetank through phase 2.
@@lred1383 to me it's the vice versa, I think your method is odd XD. Although I do not think that wall jumps are necessary, it makes the fight an absolute joke. If you don't believe me, try it, the fight is then easier than the moss charger. As for the 2nd phase I find it quite tense but ultimately easy with my method of doing things. The most important part is to ALWAYS have the knight look at the wall closer to him so that you can just click dash instead of moving and then dashing. And lastly, about the great slash, I sometimes dash through it, sometimes jump out of it, but I thought since im basing my approach to this fight by wall jumping, it would be more natural to jump over his slash and then to continue wall jumping. Hope this clears it up a bit :D
Some tips: you can practice sly in the hall of gods (all the bosses for that matter). You don't have to defeat him in the pantheon for him to appear. When going against God Tamer ALWAYS go for the beast. If you kill it God Tamer gives up. Use spells against Ummu. When there is a jellyfish on the other side of the arena use the vengeful spirit for example. It will go right through Ummu and hit the jellyfish. Also for the Zote thing you need to kill 54 Zotes if I'm not mistaken to get something special on your menu :)
Pardon me for giving tips, but there's a more consistent way to break Uumuu's shield. If you don't want to get spoiled, I understand: 1. You can hit the jellyfishes directly to Uumuu to explode it without relying on the bomb's flyback. Your nail swing pushes the bomb quite far, about 3/4th the arena's length before gravity kicks in. 2. If a jellyfish is clipping inside Uumuu you can use a fireball directly on Uumuu to explode both the bomb, Uumuu's shield and deal damage at the same time. 3. The bombs technically deal damage Uumuu. So in a way you can actually just kill it without touching Uuumuu itself with your nail. So no need to stress yourself out to catch up to it when the shield is down. For Sly, he's a fun fight and you can bait him around to get heals in. Good luck! I love the playthrough
Tips for the Pantheons: -Quick Slash + Mark of Pride + Longnail + Strength is a glass cannon build, whilst you have minimum defensive factors and will be required to dodge, this will be able to decimate bosses in seconds -Quick Focus + Shape of Unn allows you to heal whenever you want regardless whether you stagger a boss or not, it allows you to move quickly whilst healing and that will come in handy especially in a future battle -Sly is helpless against massive range, spells can allow you to damage him without being in his own range, I strongly recommend using Descending Dark in order to get out of tricky situations -Defeating 57 Zotes will give you a new title screen -Weaversong + Grubsong makes the little weavers collect soul when they attack, so combining it with spell charms is very beneficial -Dashmaster (Also known as Sans) + Sprintmaster will give you immense speed, making dodging and avoiding attacks more can also slap on Sharp Shadow for extra dash distance and to deal damage when dashing through opponents -I highly recommend bringing Grimmchild, they’re adorable and you should spend more time with him, plus, he helps you take down enemies and adds to your DPS -Heavy Blow is kinda useless, but will actually stagger foes more quickly, giving you more healing opportunities -Wayward Compass is broken af, but you should replace it with Nailmasters Glory, the time charging for nail arts is almost gone, allowing you to use them more efficiently -Breakable charms do not break in the Pantheons since they take place in the dream realm -Pairing Dreamcatcher and Dreamshield will give you an even bigger Dreamshield -In the Pantheons, Grimm will appear in his normal form and bow to the Godseeker, remember to bow to both him and the Godseeker before battling him -Slys attack patterns change depending on your position in the arena -I always recommend practising bosses in the Hall of Gods, where you can rematch every single boss you’ve defeated. -In the Pantheons Nightmare King Grimm will have a different arena without edges, and he’s arguably the third hardest boss the game can throw at you, but the same strategy applies, you can use Shape of Unn to heal every time he uses the Fire Pillars -The fourth Pantheon has the second hardest boss in the game (Although I find it easier than NKG), I recommend practising against them in the Hall of Gods before finishing them off in the Pantheons -Fight the bosses in the Hall of Gods on attuned, then fight them on Ascended, where they will have modified arenas, attack patterns, more health and deal double their normal damage. In the fifth and final pantheon, all the bosses will appear in their ascended arenas with their ascended attack patterns, but they will do their attuned damage and have their attuned health. This will be extremely useful once you attempt the final pantheon Love the series and hope you get better at the game so you will do the mods of this game! (And prepare for difficulty when that time arrives, do not underestimate how much of a masochist the modding community is)
I arleady told you... you don’t have to kill boss to unlock his statue. So you can now practice sly... in fact i recomend you practice all bosses at ascended level
@@marmaje69 I also do, but the thing is, while we got the void given form and I assume beaten P5, we're on a higher skill level than Quin, which should be aknowlegded(not trying to sound cocky). I imagine him fighting radiant abs rad for 3 weeks straight, somehow not getting bored of it in the process, and then getting underwhelbed by how easy the P5 one becomes
@@bilomboman Yeah. I beat PV and NKG radiant for the fun of it because they were my favorite fights. It's been a few months since then and now the only non radiant I have is absrad and I can't beat it on ascended. So... fuck. Overkill is an understatement. I'm gonna keep fighting at it in my free time. In all honesty you shouldn't try to do "all-radiant" unless you truly LOVE the game and it's a challenge for you.
Clicked the second I saw the notification! I literally cannot wait for you to do the pantheon of hollownest! (Also shaman stone is one of the best damage output charms in the game)
@@xavierhansen4135 wrong quick slash+u strength is 3 hits and u have 92 dmg and total dps will be around 150 and abyss shriek w/ shamen stone costs soul and doesent allow you to move and only has 120 ish dps
Assuming you can get 3 hits in. Fights like NKG, markoth, and abs rad make getting nail hits in very difficult. From my count abyss shriek has 3 hits per cast, looking in the Wiki each hit does 80 damage with shaman stone. That's 240 damage per cast If every hit lands. I'm not saying quick slash is bad (still one of the best charms) but sometimes nail attacks just don't cut it for harder fights. Honestly, the best way to play is using nail attacks when you can get more than 2 hits in and spells when you have less time or space. (Ps. Shaman stone boosts the damage of shriek by 50% vrs other spells by 33%)
Tips for Sly! After each attack, there's only enough time to hit him ONCE! After that, back up and get ready for his next attack. For his spin attack you can pogo on his nail. If you're feeling confident you can bounce on his actual head although that will knock him down a bit so be careful about that If he's on the other side of the arena he's probably charging up a dash attack so get up into the air If he's standing near you and charging up, it's a greatslash, so dash away a couple times He never swings just once, so be mindful of that ONLY HEAL WHEN HE'S STAGGERED! I'm not spoiling anything, but when he's mad, your shadow dash is your best friend. When he spins, dash though it and away from him, then double back and hit him once before he jumps back
nonono. how i beated him was to just tank the first two bits(faster and easier, still dodge double damage.) and then be carefull in the last phase. in other words spam up spell and win ez. i never beated him slow and steady
Weird small tips and tricks I noticed from watching speedruns, at least one for each member of the Pantheon of Sage (because why not): Hive Knight's bees give you soul if you slap them. If timed correctly, Elder Hu will not be able to damage you thanks to Shade Cloak. Collector doesn't give soul per hit, but does give soul when dreamnailed. It's last stagger before the whole elaborate dying show allows you to dreamnail it and potentially heal if you time it correctly. When fighting God Tamer, focus on the beast, not the tamer; the tamer is tankier but gives up when the beast dies (and also is canonically her) while the beast keeps fighting no matter what but has significantly less health. Once the beast dies, you can sneak in a quick few slashes at the tamer for extra soul if she is in the middle of a hop. Dreamnail Grimm while he bows to the audience for extra soul. Galien's scythe briefly stops to start spinning again after nine bounces, giving you time to heal or do massive damage, also Shade Cloak and Abyss Shriek are your best friends. Zote... I have nothing for Zote other that you don't have to fight him at all if you either don't save him in either Greenpath or Deepnest, don't fight him in Colloseum or don't fight his dream version in Bretta's house. He'll just... not show up. It absolutely is worth setting up a brand new save file for it. Stay away from Uuwuu as you send Oomas its way; the explosive core will reach it if angled properly. The distance is not a problem. Also quickly hopping on the platform above you closer to the centre when you spawn will allow you to sneak a dreamnail in (maybe even two with Dream Wielder). When Hornet jumps in the air and charges at you, dash towards her, not away from her. The momentum carries her a bit further forward than you might think and may result in her bumping into you. Vengeful Spirit/Shade Soul will help clean up the spikes Hornet sets up in the second part of the fight and may damage her in the process. Sly gives you only tiny windows for hitting him, so make sure you get his patterns nailed down. He is rather frail though. Spells might be the way to go, especially in the second part of the fight (you'll know when you see it). I saw speedrunners straight up tanking it and focusing on doing as much damage as possible. I highly advise against healing unless he's staggered. if you read this far... why?
As for that last charm notch, it's hidden in a room in fog canyon. If you start at the archives, go right into that big vertical chamber, and it's the second room on the left. Alternatively, if you come in from the acid pool in the forgotten crossroads, it will be the first room on the left. Finally, if you come in from the acid pool in the Fungal Wastes across from where Leg Eater was, the room you need should be almost straight across. (The middle room on the left is the one where you found the map maker and where part of the room is gated by needing shadow dash.) You'll know you are in the right place when you see that the whole room is lined with exploding bomb things. Remember, you can use D.Dark to get i-frames and save yourself the damage. Does this help? And try the charm setups I suggested in previous posts once you get it. They don't have the cool combo effects that the others do, but they make up for it with damage output. Few tips: The difference between the God Tamer fight now and the one in the Trial is that you used D.Dark to get the i-frames. You weren't using magic this time and that makes the fight harder. GPZ is the king of RNG. So don't feel bad about having trouble there. NB: on Uumuu, you can make the fight easier by using shade soul to knock the exploding jelly fish into her instead of having to do the nail and dodge approach. As for the healing vs damage: most bosses have a break where you can heal. Only heal during those and only heal for the right amount of masks and you'll be better off. Panic healing generally doesn't work. Sly's fight is very much like this. So is NKG. Each attack they have has a timing and you can punish it, take a risk for more damage, or do less damage to play it safe. And on some of those moves you have enough time to heal. But healing doesn't kill bosses. If you double your damage output and don't change anything else, you'll take half the damage because the fight will last half as long. So that's why it's safer to learn their moves so you can avoid them, and know how to mix and match spells and nail to max out your dps so that you can kill them before you mess up. (*Every* move by every boss does have a counter and it is possible to fight them all without getting hit as long as you don't mess up.) You *can* face-tank things and just charm up on healing for the early parts of the pantheons, but the later challenges don't allow for that. You have to actually be able to win those fights on skill. So you might as well start learning how to dance with them like you did with NKG. With Sly, it's all about moving in and out of range based on the timing of his attacks. He only has like 3. (His reach is about the same as yours when you are wearing both long nail and mark of pride at the same time, FWIW. But you don't need to try to go toe to toe once you know his patterns.)
Once you encounter a new boss in the pantheon you can practice him in the hall of gods That's a big tip especially for the final boss of the fourth and seriously that final boss might be even harder than nightmare king grimm
IMO nkg is easy. it was way too hyped up. most attacks were easy to learn and around an hour to fully learn and almost garuntee a vic every time. pale knight was harder but that was because of sharp shadow. i need it but it hurts me. i just cant play without it anymore. abs bs i havent gotten to yet but it definetly sounds way harder then atleast nkg and maybe pale knight
Thanks for checking out my charm setup from last episode! I'm glad you tried it You tried to fit in quick focus at some point, if I may add an additional piece of advice, you wouldn't be able to fit it without removing a core part of the build (strength, quickslash and range). So what i suggest you do is search for the last charm slot (I don't remember which is left, sorry) and instead of using mark of pride take longnail which is 1 less notch, then you'll have enough for quick focus. I hope that helps! Thanks again for using my charm setup, and good luck with sly! It gets even harder, I have a feeling you'll need more than 3 episodes if you want to finish this game. But if you're adamant on finishing this game and getting the final ending, then power to you! I ragequit before I beat it, you might be able to take down the big lads
Favorite Charms to Use: Unbreakable Strength, Quick Heal, Mark of Pride Eternal Ordeal Info: Kill 57 Zotes in order to get the most awesome title screen Tips Against Sly: Timing is key. His usual melee attack consists of a three-hit combo: 1, 2, and then he spins into the air (3). I like to Shadow Dash through him as he makes the 3rd attack and strike him 2 times from behind. When he jumps into the air, he's about to attack twice: (1st) strikes down towards the ground and (2nd) then he'll swipe up starting from one side on the ground and ending on his opposite side onto the ground. This overhead swipe makes it really difficult to attack him as your nail might not be long enough even with Mark of Pride. However, he does have a slight cool down where you can attack him once. When fighting against him, I really prefer to run away from him as your run speed is enough avoid his usual melee attacks. Try to avoid getting cornered as much as you can since being in a corner will almost always let you get hit with the 3rd melee attack where he spins up. His nail is long enough to the point where you can't really Shadow Dash without getting hit. When you see white particles gathering around him, you have about a second or two to react to his Nail Art. Stay above him against his Dash Slash and Shadow Dash away/past him against his Great Slash. If he leaps away from you, it's the Dash Slash. If he walks right into your face, it's the Great Slash. If it's the Cyclone Slash, try jumping above him and nail bounce off of him. You can actually damage him, too, as long as you're striking the center of the spin. The timing for that is a bit tricky though if you're not used to it (this can also be done when fighting against Nailmaster Mato). And.... because you didn't get to his final phase, I won't give much advice about it. I'll just say, "Timing is even more important. Wait for him to come to you." Tips Against UWU: Smack the smaller jellies into UwU. It's much easier than smacking them away and leading them into it. Tips Against God Tamer: Stay above the beast with nail bounces and watch out for the tamer's attacks. The beast can't really hit you when you're nail bouncing above it. When you see the tamer move, Shadow Dash behind the beast to avoid the spitting attack and then wait for the tamer to be on the ground again. It's easier when you separate the two by waiting for the beast to use its roll attack. This attack follows your location, so getting it to the opposite side of the tamer makes the fight incredibly easy.
is quick heal mandatory? quick slash IMO is better since quick heal is only usefull if you want to heal in between boss fights. but most end game bosses have barely any time to heal or they deal 2 damage making it less worth it. also sharp shadow is best non damage charm(atleast i dont use it for the damage. i know it deals damage. i like the increased range)
You are missing 1 charm notch located in the fog canyon north-east from were cornifer was, once you get it you'll be able to use this combos. CHARM COMBOS: A build for clearing the pantheons: quick slash + unbreakeable/fragile strength + shaman stone/mark of pride/quick focus (depending on whether you prefer spells, nail or heals) + unbreakeable/fragile heart. This combo will not overcharm you so its perfect for being tanky and it adapts to most play styles. A spell build: spell twister + shaman stone + soul catcher/long nail (this depends on whether you want to maximize sould or have a easier time reaching foes) + grubsong + quick focus. this is a pretty good allround spell build for the pantheons. A good spell build for beating bosses on radiant mode (hitless, beacause it overcharms you so any damage is doubled): mark of pride + spell twister + soul catcher + shaman stone + soul eater. Make sure you put on soul eater last so you have space for every charm. This combo will practically give you a buffed spell per nail hit. Also if you dont wanna use one of this builds here are some charms that pair well: shaman stone + spell twister quick slash + unbreakeable/fragile strength quick slash + mark of pride quick focus + deep focus
Here's a bunch off tips that will come useful: Practice in the hall of gods, don't keep on doing the pantheon until your confident u got it. When sly is swinging his nail at you he will do 2swings and then turn into a fucking sawblade and come back down. Also after each attack get 1 or 2 hits in, I like to get two. When sly comes down, slamming his nail into the ground after jumping up, he will (most of the time) swing his nail backwards, so you should wait for him to swing his nail backwards and then get a hit or two. For the cyclone slash nail art, go on the wall, and stay on the wall until he gets back down. Once he finishes his attack pogo on him *once*. For the great slash nail art, the indicator for this is when he comes running to you, and stops once he is close to you. To avoid this, either shadow dash through him or jump up or dash away, after that damage is yours. For the dash slash nail art, sly will back off and start charging the dash slash, this one is easy if you just jump up and dash. Sly has a short second phase were he starts completely going apeshit. My best tip for this is control your damage, although he has a small health pool most of time going to him will lead to a hit. I hope this could help you out!
*For sly I would recommend switching out 3 charm slots for Weaverson and Grubsong at the halfway bench. This will give you passive damage and soul on characters and allow you to heal while the spiders do damage. For damaging sly in the first stage you should wait until he does his circle in the air spin and then rush in and hit him before dashing out. The rest of the time you just dodge and let the spiders hit him. When he jumps to 1 side of the arena then go to the middle of the arena and jump. His huge dash goes under you and you can get a free his if your feeling fancy. Then, in the second save, the spiders will save you, he jumps around the walls like a mad man and then jumps at you and does the spin attack from the first stage. Except for this time you only have .5 seconds to hit him before he starts jumping again. The best way to deal with this is to stand still until he jumps at you and begins the spin attack. Before he does it just shadow dash to the left or right. The spiders will still hit him when he is invisible to you and get you damage and soul. Then you can use this soul after you dash out of his blade range to cast vengeful spirit and do extra damage. He has very little health in this stage so he will die quite quickly to you spiders and spells. Your main priority is dodging his lightning-quick attacks. Let the spiders do the heavy lifting. Hope this helps!
*Also reposting my charm combo from the last episode: I've beaten the first 4 pantheons and used Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, Fragile/Unbreakable Heart (they won't break if you die, because your in a dream), Quick Slash, Steady Body, and Long Nail. If you don't have the charm notches I would remove Long Nail. If you are having trouble with the final boss in the 3rd pantheon's second phase (it is almost impossible to hit him) midway through the pantheon when you get the bench you can switch out some of your charms for weaver song and grub song. Then you can just run away from the boss and doge while the spiders do you damage. With grub song equipped they give you soul when the spiders hit an enemy so you can gain soul and heal/cast spells without having to hit the boss. Hope this helps :).*
Tips for sly: - Don’t try to multi-heal unless you’ve knocked him down - you can shadow-dash through him when he’s charging Great Slash - when he does Cyclone Slash, you can bounce off Sly in the middle but not the hitbox of his nail - if you’re in the opposite corner he’ll go for a Dash Slash, jumping over it usually worked for me - phase 2 is hell, just try to get free hits and hope to high heaven you have enough soul to get him with spells. Also, the Eternal Ordeal gives you a new title screen if you kill 57 Zotes, one for each of the “57 Precepts of Zote” you can find him listing off in Dirtmouth.
For sly's second phase you can stand in the middle and wait for him to jump right next to you, walk a little bit away from him so you won't get hit by his spin, then get 1 hit in. Repeat that until he is dead, his second phase has very little health.
Tips : - God tamer : dont jump when spitting, remember how far away all three spits - UuwuU : you dont have to hit and get behind them, when you hit jelly they first go into direction you hit them so they'll explode instantly into their face, also just use shade soul its way easier (you can get free dream nail soul if you stand on left or right upper platform) Sly : Yeah, he be kinda tough. As one kong said "you can slap it, but only ONCE". This applies to this fight as well, hit him once or twice after his every attack. His nail arts take long time to charge so you can use this to you advantage (if he is on second part of room just jump and you should dodge him, if he is next to you get away asap and if you cant just hug the upper corner of the wall, if he is on middle try pogoing him, it is hard but worth it) Addictional notes : - when grimm is bowing you can dream nail him (twice if youre fast) - dream nail OOHOOHU AHAHAHA after beggining scream, you can do it - kill 57 zotes (reference to 57 precepts of zote) for biggest reward in the game - when you kill/lose to a pantheon boss they appear in hall of gods (mato and oro, sheo, sly and two others) - elder hu is literally easiest thing on earth, just shadow dash when he attacks, works 100% of the time - fuck buffed zote
Quin: "Im excited for today!" Me: "Oh, Gods of Hollownest, give this guy protections and blessings." (Gods of hollownest actualy beating your ass.) Me: "... WELL THEN."
a good tip to consistently dodge God tamer's beats's spit attack is to stay on the ground, wait a moment and move left or right depending on where you are. When he first spits you don't really know where it's gonna land, so you gotta wait a few seconds until you do.
You should go practice sly in the hall of gods , his statue has already appeared You should do that so you don't have to replay the entire pantheon again and again
You get a special reward for beating 57 Zotes in the eternal ordeal. A really strong build that you can use is strength+quick slash+mark of pride+heart. That build actually is really helpful for Sly and will carry you through most fights. For Sly, if you hug the top corner of a wall you can avoid all of his attacks, and when he does the three part attack, drop off the wall when he is finishing the second hit so that the third hit (when he spins) will go into the wall and you can get behind him and get two hits in. Only heal during his downed/transition phase (you can get two heals in). When he does the spin move just get above him and pogo him down. During the second phase of his fight, if you are using the build I put above, you can stand in a corner and just spam him when he comes to hit you. It should take 3 or 4 times of him hitting you but you’ll out spam him (start spamming slash when he is coming at you and keep spamming after he hits you until he goes away, then repeat)

One thing that might help is either the sharp shadow/dash master combo or the thorn/shell combo . Sharp shadow does damage equal to your nail and it increases the void dash range, but if you add dash master the damage becomes 1.50 of your nail so you can get some free damage while running away. However you will not get soul from the dash hit. The thorn/shell combo will make it that if you get hit while healing you won’t take damage and will hit the attacker with thorns equal to your nail damage. (Warning! Shell will break if it takes enough hits). Figured this might help, go get em stinky!
Fun fact: a hidden room in the palace shows the mold for Kingsmolds, and it looks almost exactly like the Collector; so the common theory is that TC was a KM who ran away
you can actually fight sly in hall of gods to practice now, you dont have to do the pantheon. after getting good at the fight you can slap his bugcheeks in the pantheon
As others have said, you can now face Sly alone in the Hall of the Gods now that you’ve fought him once (this will be the same with any future pantheon specific bosses. You don’t need to beat them to fight them alone) Also, my tip for Sly is that when he does the second slash of the “Hmm, Whaa, HEGGG” move, dash through him, hit him, then dodge his uppercut dive and tap him. When he does cyclone slash, you actually can bounce on him, just not on his nail, it has to be his head. Dash through him when he does great slash. It’s the only way. If he’s on the opposite side of the stage and you’re standing still, he’s most like going to dash slash. You can jump over him and pogo, or you can just dash through. My charm build for this pantheon is Unbreakable Strength, Quick Focus, Mark of Pride, and Sharp Shadow. I go for heavy offensive and dodge a lot, but if I take damage Quick Focus allows me to heal multiple times either during a stagger or a long move (Like Sly’s Hmm, Whaa, Hegg move. I dash through him and heal, dealing damage to him and healing damage for me.)
I do God Tamer by down pogoing on top of the big thing’s head. It’s saved me a lot. When it shoots goop, dash through it towards the beast and pogo on its head. When it rolls, jump above it (and bounce if you need to) then when you can’t bounce anymore on it, do the soul attack where it slams the ground. It’ll give help a lot with damage. With Uumuu (UwU), you don’t need to have the smaller jellies chase you. You can hit them into Uumuu to decrease the chance of getting hit by them. I hope it helps! And even if Quin doesn’t see this, I hope it helps some newer players!
Yes! Finally, the Eternal Ordeal, the second best thing in the game. The main menu it unlocks is even better. Also it's very interesting how Grimm bows to the audience and not you for this fight.
That most likely has to do with the fact that he's a higher being and knows that he's in a dream, as well as the fact that he's performing for an audience
Welcome to the hell that is Pantheon of the Sage. Took me personally like 6 months to beat, but here are some tips: For Uuwuu I personally try to hit the jellyfishes directly at it and try to lure Uuwuu to that Jellyfish For Sly Shadow Dash helps a lot (for stuff like his Dash Slash or when he does the spinny combo thing), and with Sharp Shadow the fight becomes much quicker
Charm combos: Shape of Unn, Baldur Shell, Spore Shroom, Quick Focus, Deep focus try them in different combos with Shape of Unn and those charms (heal to see effects) Quickslash, Longnail, Mark of Pride, Sprint Master then fight Acended/Radiant Marmuu
- In the hall of gods, you can fight bosses you've already encountered in the pantheons. (You can practise Sly in the HoG from now on!) This'll help you a lot on the 3rd and 4th pantheon. - You usually don't jump when God Tamer's beast spits. Try to adjust yourself while standing on the ground. - If you're more focused in using spells than nail, use the charm Shaman Stone which increases the spells' hitbox and damage. - You can hit the jellyfish into Uumuu instead of luring them! Took me some time to figure that out too. They actually take a lot of knockback, so there would be plenty of room. Also you can easily dreamnail Uumuu or the jellyfish for extra soul, if you can get the timing right. - I usually don't use Quick Slash because I go way too crazy with it and tend to try face-tanking, but that's maybe just me. Still one of the best charms in the game. - You can cheese Elder Hu by shadow dashing every time he's about to attack. Works every time, makes him a soul battery. - Use the remaining 1 charm notch for Defender's Crest, Grubsong, or Nailmaster's Glory; They are pretty good charms for a 1-notch. You can replace Mark of Pride to Longnail and have a 2-notch charm instead of longer range. - Eternal Ordeal's regular Zotes are vulnerable to up/downslashes (since they take a lot of knockback from horizontal slashes and can collide with you).
U good? He would take twice as long as NKG to beat radiant Markoth and that is assuming he's already at a consistent P5 skill level, which... y'know.. he isn't
A few tips for the bosses: Hive knight - try to stay grounded and shadow dash through his attacks Elder hu - if you time tou shadow dash right she literally can't touch you The collector - take out the minions as soon as they land and attack him with shade souls God tamer - jump and shadow dash through his spit and when he rolls his bounce off the wall will target your current location Grimm - you beat nightmare king your'e good Galien - remember your abyss shrick Gray prince zote - when he teleports up instead of hitting the ground time you descending dark so you have invincebility frames as he lands Uuwuu - instead of knocking them back and then standing behind uuwuu try knocking them straight into him and if they are already inside him use shade soul and they explode instantly Hornet - honastly just git gud and pray you have enough health for... Sly - he has two triple slash combos, wait for him to finish them then you acn get in a hit or two. Also try staying in the middle of the arena. Good luck
here's some strategies I use for some of the bosses: - When the beast starts rolling, use descending dark when near the walls because that spells does damage though your nail doesn't. make sure to keep pogoing it since you don't want to get hit by its goop - Uumuu can be dreamnailed at the start for extra soul and so can the oomas, you're going to need it - i hit the oomas that are close to uumuu but you can practice his fight in the hall of gods so you can find a strategy that suits your play style - i usually equip healing charms for the second half because Sly gives me the heebie geebies and I want to heal as much as possible. I normally go shape of unn, quick focus, grub song, and soul catcher and I use unbreakable strength to make the fight last as little as possible. maybe you can change exchange it with Mark of pride because you're going to want the reach because of how big Sly's nail is - practice in the hall of gods!! I cannot stress this enough, once you fight a person at the top of the pantheon you unlock their statue, you don't need to defeat them in order to fight them. if you find a charm build that works for that boss, make sure to try it out on the other bosses for that half of the pantheon because you're going to want to bring that build with you to the end of that pantheon good luck Quin, you're doing amazing at this game and keep up the good work! don't forget to take breaks too!
Man, you doing SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than me on this. I literaly started a new playthrough, so I would not need to fight scythe guy, zote and uumuu. In which I did not save Zote. -for the achieviments of course- And about Sly, you can always pratice against him in the statues. Same thing to all new bosses, you just need to encounter them once, and you can "pratice" with them.
I would recommend practicing each boss that you have trouble with! Here are some tips for Uuwuu: You can hit the jellyfish directly into our boi. So instead of hitting them the other way and leading them into Uuwuu you can just hit them into him. This is really well done with pogoing or just vengeful spiriting them into uwu, getting extra damage off anyways with the spell. For the fourth Pantheon you are gonna want fast healing for the final boss. And here's my charm combo! Sharp Shadow, Quick Slash, Longnail and any of the following: Shaman Stone/Quick Healing/Unbreakable Strength OR you can have mark of pride instead of Longnail with grubsong and nailmaster. (Compass and gathering swarm if I'm exploring!) For me I just always want Sharp Shadow, Quick Slash and some nail lengthening. Everything else depends on what boss I'm facing, like with marmu I kinda need mark of pride
My charm load out with 11 notches: nail master glory, unbreakable strength, quick focus, deep focus. Dodge attacks while quick charging the nail arts. Force on getting one big hit instead of multiple small ones. You also heal for two mask instead of one (because you hit less you have less soul) I used this to defeat most of the harder bosses since their attacks are faster and you can only get one or two hits before they attack.
Shoot the jellyfish into Uumuu with a spell. If you can get the spacing right you can pogo off of Sly while he's doing his helicopter move, but it's best if you prepare for a drawn out by healing only one mask when you can; trying to go for more will only get you killed. He also tends to do his dash attack when he's off-screen so watch out for that. You can generally tell when he's charging an attack because he has the same animation as yo boy. Plus you can dodge through him better when you have sharp shadow equipped. Hope this helps. Also, descending dark spell still hits God Tamer's beast whilst making you invulnerable
I just love how Grimm bows to the Godseeker instead of you, it's such a cool detail. Well, I could give some tips on individual bosses, but I bet there are a lot of people, who can do it better than me. So instead take some general advice: 1. Do not heal whenever you feel like. Especially if you are at low health! Instead you want to heal when it's going to work, like during a stun period (obviously) or some attacks/situations individual for all bosses. You might want to try out quick focus and/or shape of unn, they help a lot if you have trouble with bosses. 2. Don't focus on attacking, focus on dodging. Unequipping quick slash really helps with this. You can, of course, quick slash all the easier bosses, but I definitely recommend getting rid of it for the difficult ones.
Man I told you Quin you can train in the Hall of Gods after encountering a new boss! You don't have to suffer through it all just to die because of not knowing the patterns! Also honestly I recommend just one charm: Sharp Shadow, it makes your invincibility dodge a lot longer and also deals dmg when you dodge through enemies, which I don't see you doing much of it. You should try to get better at using your invicibiility frame because oh man oh man, the next pantheon is gonna be a nightmare. One more thing is that don't worry Quin, everyone gets mad at these pantheons because GOD it feels so bad to die to RNG patterns of new bosses after 20 minutes of fighting. If you want to, train before recording in the hall of gods, or record it and make a Rocky montage. TIP for Sly: If he starts doing his standard swings, he swings twice and then flies up into the air "spinning" (the small spin), to dodge that you literally just need to walk away from him when that whole pattern starts (BUT not too fast like dodging cuz then you'll break that sequence) and when he lands you can hit him once or twice. Also just for in general for Pantheon bosses, they really are just like.. fencing, sword play, you have to respect your opponent. Because if you don't, they'll parry you. Wait for their move to start and then dodge out of it and hit them after that. *Patience is virtue* Keep up the great work Quin. Good luck to your pantheons!
Fighting tips. I too struggled in the pantheons. When you fight umu, instead of knocking the small jelly’s away from it and trying to make them follow you to hit it. Try hitting them towards umu. For sly. If he backs up, jump up. If he charges use your shade dash, save those for when you need them. Bounce directly on top of sly with your nail and you should be good. Dashing through hip is gonna be useful later.
Some tips are: 1. The key to god tamer is pogo. it makes it harder for the actually guy to attack you. 2. On uumuu you can hit the jellyfish directly at him you don't have to hit the jellyfish and then hid behind him. 3. on sly dodging and hitting at the right time is key, don't try to tank it. Also when sly is charging up his attack there will be white particles near him. when he does that I would recommend jumping above/over him or dashing away if you can.
Here's my charm combo (sorry im late) Unbreakable Strength, Unbreakable Masks/Hearts, Sharp Shadow, and quickslash. I use it to smack a couple times and if I'm charged at I can shade dash through them while still doing damage. If you have the eleventh charm slot I recommend grubsong
Friendly reminder that if you’re having trouble with any boss, like Sly, you can practice them in the Hall of Gods. Is especially helpful for bosses that show up late in the pantheon.
To beat Sly here's two tips: -either pogo him when he does the cyclone or dash through him when he charges the other ones -and bait him out,go near him,he's going go do his standard attacks ,so you need to dash back, not getting hit helps you find a way to hit the boss more effectively or actually just hit the boss🤔(4th pantheon) Keep up the good work btw, great vid👌 You should train against him in the room where there's the entrance to the eternal ordeal,it's easier than doing the pantheon everytime you decide to challenge him
I honestly only remeber this guy because I thought his name was "elder mu" so I kept joking to myself calling him a cow until I found out his real name
When you first encounter a boss in the Pantheon that wasn't in the original game, it unlocks their statue in the Hall of Gods. This is pretty nice because you can use that to learn their moves and practice instead of dying in the Pantheons over and over (specially when you're going up against Pure Vessel and Absolute Radiance)
One trick I figured out for Uumuu was to stand at that very base platform and wait until the Oomas (the exploding ones) come up and shade soul ones that are on the other side of Uumuu. They'll die and launch towards Uumuu and you'll be safe. Uumuu is a patience fight, dodge its attacks, and return to that bottom platform. Also for god tamer you only have to take out the beast, not the ant lady, the beast takes damage from spells while rolled up and sharp shadow can damage it too. I'm stuck on this pantheon too so I've had a lot of practice ;-;
A fun little fact about that horrid Grey Prince! If you leave Zote to die in Greenpath, he won't appear in the pantheons. His statue will appear in the Hall of Gods, but you won't have to fight him at any point for 112% completion.
Don’t worry I can wait.

Yeah that UwU fight is gonna be a rough one for me
mozamioo _ only attack during the shield spin and focus on dodging during the nail barrage. for the first phase, only use nail arts (dash slash hits through the shield). for the second phase, use shade soul (or abyss shriek if hes in a good position). try to stick to one platform and weave around the nails. u can move to another platform if he floats towards you or if a nail forces u to do so. avoid the left wall during the nail barrage because the nails can spawn in the wall and hit u
Me who first tied him
Sly is only scary because of his speed and range.
The Eternal Ordeal is eternal, but rewards you if you get to 57. (It is the number of Zote's rules)

Always practice them in the hall of gods once you see them for the first time.

Yep, spore shroom, defenders crest (from Dung Defender), flukenest, and glowing womb depending on how many slots you have
Fart build is cracked
Here are some tips:
1. God tamer is easily killed with just pogoing, pogo on the beast all the time, even when it's rolling (but don't pogo it when it's jumping tho)
2. Uumuu-s jellyfish friends (oomas) can be hit face on, meaning you don't have to loop them around you like you tried to. For example if uumuu is to your left, and between you and uumuu is a ooma, you can just kill the ooma and it's projectile will hit uumuu. You can also hit oomas with shadesoul ( this is kinda better to do since you are at a long range ( plus the projectiles oomas spawn will go to the same direction as the shadesoul you fired))
3. When he is doing his nail arts you should do this:
I wish I had seen this about a month ago before Sly's patterns got inbued into my nervous system
@Benas Orantas yeah that could work too but this is much more forgiving I would say
The saving grace is that Sly has very little health, and if you're at full hp by the end of phase 1, you can quite easily facetank through phase 2.
im at the same pantheon and i struggle with the same things quin does but i also die to zote like 40 times, so thank you for the tips
"I didn't have any problems with markoth"
You will, oh I promise you will
Some tips: you can practice sly in the hall of gods (all the bosses for that matter).
You actually have to kill 57 zote things to get the secret menu.

Course we are! He stole our bug girlfriend

Pardon me for giving tips, but there's a more consistent way to break Uumuu's shield. If you don't want to get spoiled, I understand:
Thanks for the tips
Tips for the Pantheons:
-Quick Slash + Mark of Pride + Longnail + Strength is a glass cannon build, whilst you have minimum defensive factors and will be required to dodge, this will be able to decimate bosses in seconds
-Quick Focus + Shape of Unn allows you to heal whenever you want regardless whether you stagger a boss or not, it allows you to move quickly whilst healing and that will come in handy especially in a future battle
-Sly is helpless against massive range, spells can allow you to damage him without being in his own range, I strongly recommend using Descending Dark in order to get out of tricky situations
-Defeating 57 Zotes will give you a new title screen
-Weaversong + Grubsong makes the little weavers collect soul when they attack, so combining it with spell charms is very beneficial
-Dashmaster (Also known as Sans) + Sprintmaster will give you immense speed, making dodging and avoiding attacks more can also slap on Sharp Shadow for extra dash distance and to deal damage when dashing through opponents
-I highly recommend bringing Grimmchild, they’re adorable and you should spend more time with him, plus, he helps you take down enemies and adds to your DPS
-Heavy Blow is kinda useless, but will actually stagger foes more quickly, giving you more healing opportunities
-Wayward Compass is broken af, but you should replace it with Nailmasters Glory, the time charging for nail arts is almost gone, allowing you to use them more efficiently
-Breakable charms do not break in the Pantheons since they take place in the dream realm
-Pairing Dreamcatcher and Dreamshield will give you an even bigger Dreamshield
-In the Pantheons, Grimm will appear in his normal form and bow to the Godseeker, remember to bow to both him and the Godseeker before battling him
-Slys attack patterns change depending on your position in the arena
-I always recommend practising bosses in the Hall of Gods, where you can rematch every single boss you’ve defeated.
-In the Pantheons Nightmare King Grimm will have a different arena without edges, and he’s arguably the third hardest boss the game can throw at you, but the same strategy applies, you can use Shape of Unn to heal every time he uses the Fire Pillars
-The fourth Pantheon has the second hardest boss in the game (Although I find it easier than NKG), I recommend practising against them in the Hall of Gods before finishing them off in the Pantheons
-Fight the bosses in the Hall of Gods on attuned, then fight them on Ascended, where they will have modified arenas, attack patterns, more health and deal double their normal damage. In the fifth and final pantheon, all the bosses will appear in their ascended arenas with their ascended attack patterns, but they will do their attuned damage and have their attuned health. This will be extremely useful once you attempt the final pantheon
Love the series and hope you get better at the game so you will do the mods of this game! (And prepare for difficulty when that time arrives, do not underestimate how much of a masochist the modding community is)

Luiz Felipe Falcao no, he will be fine. You’ll see
@@bilomboman Yeah.
(Also shaman stone is one of the best damage output charms in the game)
the best one is quick slash
Shaman stone + abyss shriek is the highest damage output you can get.
Quick slash + shaman stone + soul catcher is busted.
(Ps. Shaman stone boosts the damage of shriek by 50% vrs other spells by 33%)
@@xavierhansen4135 the FULL abyss shriek does 80 dmg not each hit

P.S. love your Hollow Knight series.
Tips for Sly!
After each attack, there's only enough time to hit him ONCE! After that, back up and get ready for his next attack.
For his spin attack you can pogo on his nail. If you're feeling confident you can bounce on his actual head although that will knock him down a bit so be careful about that
If he's on the other side of the arena he's probably charging up a dash attack so get up into the air
If he's standing near you and charging up, it's a greatslash, so dash away a couple times
He never swings just once, so be mindful of that
ONLY HEAL WHEN HE'S STAGGERED!
I'm not spoiling anything, but when he's mad, your shadow dash is your best friend. When he spins, dash though it and away from him, then double back and hit him once before he jumps back
Okok thanks for the tips
nonono. how i beated him was to just tank the first two bits(faster and easier, still dodge double damage.)
and then be carefull in the last phase. in other words spam up spell and win ez.
i never beated him slow and steady
Weird small tips and tricks I noticed from watching speedruns, at least one for each member of the Pantheon of Sage (because why not):
Hive Knight's bees give you soul if you slap them.
I highly advise against healing unless he's staggered.
if you read this far... why?
“Dude I’m a mile in the air he’s two feet tall”
As for that last charm notch, it's hidden in a room in fog canyon. If you start at the archives, go right into that big vertical chamber, and it's the second room on the left. Alternatively, if you come in from the acid pool in the forgotten crossroads, it will be the first room on the left. Finally, if you come in from the acid pool in the Fungal Wastes across from where Leg Eater was, the room you need should be almost straight across.
(The middle room on the left is the one where you found the map maker and where part of the room is gated by needing shadow dash.)
You'll know you are in the right place when you see that the whole room is lined with exploding bomb things.
(*Every* move by every boss does have a counter and it is possible to fight them all without getting hit as long as you don't mess up.)
You *can* face-tank things and just charm up on healing for the early parts of the pantheons, but the later challenges don't allow for that.
Once you encounter a new boss in the pantheon you can practice him in the hall of gods
That's a big tip especially for the final boss of the fourth and seriously that final boss might be even harder than nightmare king grimm
He is
nothing is harder than nkg lol
@@swapbell absrad : am I a joke to you
@@swapbell yea, about that... ascended/radiant abs rad

pale knight was harder but that was because of sharp shadow. i need it but it hurts me. i just cant play without it anymore.
abs bs i havent gotten to yet but it definetly sounds way harder then atleast nkg and maybe pale knight
Thanks for checking out my charm setup from last episode! I'm glad you tried it
You tried to fit in quick focus at some point, if I may add an additional piece of advice, you wouldn't be able to fit it without removing a core part of the build (strength, quickslash and range).
Favorite Charms to Use: Unbreakable Strength, Quick Heal, Mark of Pride
Eternal Ordeal Info:
Kill 57 Zotes in order to get the most awesome title screen
Tips Against Sly:
Timing is key.
Wait for him to come to you."
Tips Against UWU:
Smack the smaller jellies into UwU. It's much easier than smacking them away and leading them into it.
Tips Against God Tamer:
Stay above the beast with nail bounces and watch out for the tamer's attacks.
Yeah god tamer was pretty simple once I figured him out
is quick heal mandatory? quick slash IMO is better since quick heal is only usefull if you want to heal in between boss fights. but most end game bosses have barely any time to heal or they deal 2 damage making it less worth it. also sharp shadow is best non damage charm(atleast i dont use it for the damage. i know it deals damage. i like the increased range)
You are missing 1 charm notch located in the fog canyon north-east from were cornifer was, once you get it you'll be able to use this combos.
CHARM COMBOS:
A build for clearing the pantheons: quick slash + unbreakeable/fragile strength + shaman stone/mark of pride/quick focus (depending on whether you prefer spells, nail or heals) + unbreakeable/fragile heart.
Also if you dont wanna use one of this builds here are some charms that pair well:
shaman stone + spell twister
quick slash + unbreakeable/fragile strength
quick slash + mark of pride
quick focus + deep focus
Here's a bunch off tips that will come useful:
Practice in the hall of gods, don't keep on doing the pantheon until your confident u got it.
I like the use of swear word
After defeating the third pantheon, there is a 1% chance to go to a secret place whenever you dreamnail the Godtuner guy.
The Eternal Ordeal be like:
Oh, you like Zote? Here, *take him*
Y e s .
Tips for sly:
- Don’t try to multi-heal unless you’ve knocked him down
- you can shadow-dash through him when he’s charging Great Slash
- when he does Cyclone Slash, you can bounce off Sly in the middle but not the hitbox of his nail
- if you’re in the opposite corner he’ll go for a Dash Slash, jumping over it usually worked for me
- phase 2 is hell, just try to get free hits and hope to high heaven you have enough soul to get him with spells.
Tips :
- God tamer : dont jump when spitting, remember how far away all three spits
- UuwuU : you dont have to hit and get behind them, when you hit jelly they first go into direction you hit them so they'll explode instantly into their face, also just use shade soul its way easier (you can get free dream nail soul if you stand on left or right upper platform)
Sly : Yeah, he be kinda tough. As one kong said "you can slap it, but only ONCE". This applies to this fight as well, hit him once or twice after his every attack. His nail arts take long time to charge so you can use this to you advantage (if he is on second part of room just jump and you should dodge him, if he is next to you get away asap and if you cant just hug the upper corner of the wall, if he is on middle try pogoing him, it is hard but worth it)
Addictional notes :
- when grimm is bowing you can dream nail him (twice if youre fast)
- dream nail OOHOOHU AHAHAHA after beggining scream, you can do it
- kill 57 zotes (reference to 57 precepts of zote) for biggest reward in the game
- when you kill/lose to a pantheon boss they appear in hall of gods (mato and oro, sheo, sly and two others)
- elder hu is literally easiest thing on earth, just shadow dash when he attacks, works 100% of the time
- fuck buffed zote
Quin: "Im excited for today!"
Me: "Oh, Gods of Hollownest, give this guy protections and blessings."
(Gods of hollownest actualy beating your ass.)
Me: "... WELL THEN."
a good tip to consistently dodge God tamer's beats's spit attack is to stay on the ground, wait a moment and move left or right depending on where you are. When he first spits you don't really know where it's gonna land, so you gotta wait a few seconds until you do.
You should go practice sly in the hall of gods , his statue has already appeared
You should do that so you don't have to replay the entire pantheon again and again
Good advice for all the late pantheons if you have trouble, really.
...and I imagine most people struggled with the last one to some extent >_>

When God Tamer’s beast bounces off the wall it tries to land where you’re standing.

Figured this might help, go get em stinky!

you can actually fight sly in hall of gods to practice now, you dont have to do the pantheon. after getting good at the fight you can slap his bugcheeks in the pantheon
6:19 “I beat him beforrrrreee come on” that is the pantheons in a nutshell
"I think today is going to be a lot of fun"
Me looking at the title of the video: Impossible!
As others have said, you can now face Sly alone in the Hall of the Gods now that you’ve fought him once (this will be the same with any future pantheon specific bosses. You don’t need to beat them to fight them alone)
Also, my tip for Sly is that when he does the second slash of the “Hmm, Whaa, HEGGG” move, dash through him, hit him, then dodge his uppercut dive and tap him.
Big ol rip on sly. Also, with the Eternal Ordeal you have to get around 40-60, somewhere in that range, to get a secret when you go to the main menu
57 if I'm correct
57
Remember the 57 precepts of Zote? That’s the hint for The Eternal Ordeal ;)

Also it's very interesting how Grimm bows to the audience and not you for this fight.
That most likely has to do with the fact that he's a higher being and knows that he's in a dream, as well as the fact that he's performing for an audience
Welcome to the hell that is Pantheon of the Sage. Took me personally like 6 months to beat, but here are some tips:
For Uuwuu I personally try to hit the jellyfishes directly at it and try to lure Uuwuu to that Jellyfish
For Sly Shadow Dash helps a lot (for stuff like his Dash Slash or when he does the spinny combo thing), and with Sharp Shadow the fight becomes much quicker
Charm combos: Shape of Unn, Baldur Shell, Spore Shroom, Quick Focus, Deep focus
try them in different combos with Shape of Unn and those charms (heal to see effects)
Quickslash, Longnail, Mark of Pride, Sprint Master then fight Acended/Radiant Marmuu
Deep focus is for noobs and my man is hardcore pro gamer
true but it gives longer time to see hollow snail boi
Radiant Marmu is the thing that haunts my dreams
The moment you fight a new boss you unlock them in the hallway, that way you can pratice Sly safely!

- Eternal Ordeal's regular Zotes are vulnerable to up/downslashes (since they take a lot of knockback from horizontal slashes and can collide with you).
you should show a montage of how you found The Eternal Ordeal also try radiant/ ascended oblobbles or markoth
U good? He would take twice as long as NKG to beat radiant Markoth and that is assuming he's already at a consistent P5 skill level, which... y'know.. he isn't
Seeing you struggle brings me immense satisfaction bc I was terrible throughout the whole game and you lowkey breezed it with your playthrough lolol
17:09 This is just the dumbest hitbox in the whole game
Yeah that was wild
A few tips for the bosses:
Hive knight - try to stay grounded and shadow dash through his attacks
Elder hu - if you time tou shadow dash right she literally can't touch you
The collector - take out the minions as soon as they land and attack him with shade souls
God tamer - jump and shadow dash through his spit and when he rolls his bounce off the wall will target your current location
Grimm - you beat nightmare king your'e good
Galien - remember your abyss shrick
Gray prince zote - when he teleports up instead of hitting the ground time you descending dark so you have invincebility frames as he lands
Uuwuu - instead of knocking them back and then standing behind uuwuu try knocking them straight into him and if they are already inside him use shade soul and they explode instantly
Hornet - honastly just git gud and pray you have enough health for...
Sly - he has two triple slash combos, wait for him to finish them then you acn get in a hit or two. Also try staying in the middle of the arena.
Good luck
Hornet fight is always fun
If you want do The Eternal Ordeal you pretty much have to have Unn and quick heal equipped
As other people have mentioned, William Pellen voices Zote, but as well as a tonne of of characters such as the grubs and the Collector (funny enough)
...
Quin: I think I can do the pantheons in 3 episodes.
Pantheon 3:Allow me introduce myself.
Also, you can practice sly in the hall of gods.
here's some strategies I use for some of the bosses:
- When the beast starts rolling, use descending dark when near the walls because that spells does damage though your nail doesn't. make sure to keep pogoing it since you don't want to get hit by its goop
- Uumuu can be dreamnailed at the start for extra soul and so can the oomas, you're going to need it
- i hit the oomas that are close to uumuu but you can practice his fight in the hall of gods so you can find a strategy that suits your play style
- i usually equip healing charms for the second half because Sly gives me the heebie geebies and I want to heal as much as possible. I normally go shape of unn, quick focus, grub song, and soul catcher and I use unbreakable strength to make the fight last as little as possible. maybe you can change exchange it with Mark of pride because you're going to want the reach because of how big Sly's nail is
- practice in the hall of gods!! I cannot stress this enough, once you fight a person at the top of the pantheon you unlock their statue, you don't need to defeat them in order to fight them. if you find a charm build that works for that boss, make sure to try it out on the other bosses for that half of the pantheon because you're going to want to bring that build with you to the end of that pantheon
good luck Quin, you're doing amazing at this game and keep up the good work! don't forget to take breaks too!
Man, you doing SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than me on this. I literaly started a new playthrough, so I would not need to fight scythe guy, zote and uumuu. In which I did not save Zote. -for the achieviments of course-
And about Sly, you can always pratice against him in the statues. Same thing to all new bosses, you just need to encounter them once, and you can "pratice" with them.
Listen. Once you go Sharp Shadow, you never go back.
I would recommend practicing each boss that you have trouble with!
Here are some tips for Uuwuu:
You can hit the jellyfish directly into our boi.
(Compass and gathering swarm if I'm exploring!)
For me I just always want Sharp Shadow, Quick Slash and some nail lengthening. Everything else depends on what boss I'm facing, like with marmu I kinda need mark of pride
The pantheons break even the wholesomest of You-Tubers. I've seen it too many times.
Hollow Knight Gods and Glory on the last 3 pantheons was like: Imma just turn up the difficulty and raise the rage meter bar.
let's wait for the day he goes for Markoth on Radiance difficulty
Quin: 7:50
Me: Wow- Quin has gone mad- insulting old elderly bugs-
I hate that boss now dude does not stop teleporting
QuinBoBin Lol He’s terrible, my first hollow knight run he DEMOLISHED me.
You should have treated the eternal ordeal the same way you treated radience .... "Oh no It has a Full screen card, in done for"
Shoot the jellyfish into Uumuu with a spell.
For Uumuu just hit the exploding jellyfish directly into him rather than trying to have them chase you into him.
I just love how Grimm bows to the Godseeker instead of you, it's such a cool detail.
Well, I could give some tips on individual bosses, but I bet there are a lot of people, who can do it better than me. So instead take some general advice:
TIP for Sly:
If he starts doing his standard swings, he swings twice and then flies up into the air "spinning" (the small spin), to dodge that you literally just need to walk away from him when that whole pattern starts (BUT not too fast like dodging cuz then you'll break that sequence) and when he lands you can hit him once or twice.
Also just for in general for Pantheon bosses, they really are just like.. fencing, sword play, you have to respect your opponent. Because if you don't, they'll parry you. Wait for their move to start and then dodge out of it and hit them after that. *Patience is virtue*
Keep up the great work Quin. Good luck to your pantheons!
Yeah imma need some practice with that man
Fighting tips.
When in doubt....
Descending Dark
1:08 quin: I feel bad for juggling him
Quin: still juggles him
But if funny
this is why we told you to turn on the music, the music just so great and unique
Some tips are:
The final charm notch is probably in the Fog Canyon, go explore there and get through a room of explosive bubbles to obtain the charm notch
Once you see Sly or any new boss, go to the God home and practise before attempting the patheon again. You don't need to kill the boss to practise it
And so the legendary Quin finally meets his match. The pupil faces the master. Mmm, this popcorn is delicious. :P
Friendly reminder that if you’re having trouble with any boss, like Sly, you can practice them in the Hall of Gods. Is especially helpful for bosses that show up late in the pantheon.
To beat Sly here's two tips:
-either pogo him when he does the cyclone or dash through him when he charges the other ones
-and bait him out,go near him,he's going go do his standard attacks ,so you need to dash back, not getting hit helps you find a way to hit the boss more effectively or actually just hit the boss🤔(4th pantheon)
Keep up the good work btw, great vid👌
You should train against him in the room where there's the entrance to the eternal ordeal,it's easier than doing the pantheon everytime you decide to challenge him
“Im gonna be so good at clapping elder hu by the end of this”
Bosses will seem like nothing by the end of it
I honestly only remeber this guy because I thought his name was "elder mu" so I kept joking to myself calling him a cow until I found out his real name
One trick I figured out for Uumuu was to stand at that very base platform and wait until the Oomas (the exploding ones) come up and shade soul ones that are on the other side of Uumuu. They'll die and launch towards Uumuu and you'll be safe. Uumuu is a patience fight, dodge its attacks, and return to that bottom platform. Also for god tamer you only have to take out the beast, not the ant lady, the beast takes damage from spells while rolled up and sharp shadow can damage it too. I'm stuck on this pantheon too so I've had a lot of practice ;-;
A fun little fact about that horrid Grey Prince!
If you leave Zote to die in Greenpath, he won't appear in the pantheons. His statue will appear in the Hall of Gods, but you won't have to fight him at any point for 112% completion.
The best part is that he calls uumuu uuwuu
