I met Rakesh Jhunjhunwala two times in my life. We met at a marriage party of a common friend once and in his Bombay office the next time. When we met for the first time Rakesh Jhunjhunwala asked ne ‘Market Kya Lagta Hai’ not because he found me immensely knowledgeable but because he probably wanted to know the public view. We discussed Titan, TV18, Pantaloon Retail and also a few other stocks. I narrate these incidents and also the message that most often in life we don’t walk to big people for the fear of rejection. And stock market guys are always eager to meet and talk with new people just to understand which way the wind is blowing.

I had a query. Why is it that a wealthy man like Rakeshji will not take care of his health.
I read in an interview somewhere that he was a heavy smoker, heavy alcoholic beverage consumer, and also a voracious foodie. We lost him too early.
I ventured in to a lot of diversified field in life and I too got the same kind of experience, feeling, emotion and thoughts. Good thing about good people is that they pass on the things to lower level after getting succesful.
