    They should add a “wealthy housing” zone for Eu and Na, that would be cool to have near downtown and in their own wealthy areas

    • @kaybs19
      @kaybs19 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Yess! Like a residential zoning set with luxury low density that gives seprate sprawling mansions, med density luxury gives condos and luxury high density that gives high rises with interesting roof tops! It would add an even more interesting set of dynamics to land value calculations.

      @@kaybs19 Something like the posh edwardian terraces you see in Kensington in London would be so good to have!

    Hey Dylan, please never think that you rambling is bad. Idk about others, but I come to watch your videos because of you and your ramblings. Makes me feel like you are my close friend. The whole vibe of the videos make me feel comfortable. 😊

    Transit lines should always make a mirrored return trip - people will need to get back to where they came from without looping all the way around.

    As you said at one point on the video, the blvds are oversized. This can be solved, not by just reducing them, but by giving them wide sidewalks and bus lanes. This would make it seem like that part of the city has a story, much like many real cities, of developing from an old, pedestrian based city, to a car based, we build highways where we want city, followed by an urbanist revival movement.

  • @kennethkaabech7098
    @kennethkaabech7098 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    At 53:14 you can see that the pedestrianroad isn't connecting on the right side, the ped. turns around before reaching the other road that has a 45 degree angle.

  • @alishakellert
    @alishakellert ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I feel that across the road from the hospital, row hosuing would be appropriate. It could be owned by the hospital as housing for students training there, overnight accommodations for families with a loved one in long term care, etc. Along with that, some parking and a few commercial shops (food or a barber) to fulfill their needs.
    I think changing the city like you did was a great change. Cities change as they grow, so it feels like a reasonable project that a city would take on.
    Loving the series!

    Setting up blocks of 2 deep EU mixed zoning looks amazing, like old city centers. Especially if you manage to get corner buildings on all 4 corners. Setting up blocks of like 6x12 also leaves room for a nice green courtyard.

    Would you bulldoze the other half of town to build the headquarters for NerdroSoft Inc.?

    Linden is def crime central with all those dark grimey alleyways. Imagine leaving your office in an alleyway at night😅

  • @jaklg7905
    @jaklg7905 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I wish that they would have made the alleys a true alley and not just a small road. Like an alley in most places is behind people's houses where the garage is. It is just a small access road to the back of buildings or to a garage. I would have loved it if the game did that, if you put in an alley behind a house that the houses built a garage attached to the alleyways.

    For the busses my idea was to have a bus station or make your own bus station in down town and in the sub urbs. And just have a bus line connecting each other. And from each bus station it goes to the different areas of sub urbs or downtown areas. With maybe 1 or 2 special bus lines to special areas that might go through both major areas like for the industry or for the uni or school district.

    I'll give you a tip, when making a loop bus line that is too big, make a clockwise and a counter clockwise one, for people who come from the start of the line to don't have to do all the loop to get to the other side, this way more people will use these lines

    Im sorry I gotta break it to you but you still need to fix your bus lines because the stops first aren’t that close and second the stops have to be on the other side as well so people dont have to rides hours on the bus😅(Btw The Bus Lines are too long)😅

  • @FlyingHawkic

    The bigger city in my area has a major hospital campus in the middle of low to middle density residential. It is very realistic to have the hospitals like that. We also in the next town to me had a WWII era army hospital complex turned into a apartment complex.

    • @b9904
      @b9904 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, low and meduim density housing are next to major hospitals, and only expensive private ones in really high dense areas.

    I don't know if it's possible on city skylines, but I think it'd be cool if you made neighborhoods on the mountain side. We have those in Utah, that's where a lot of the rich people live

    • @kyles5513
      @kyles5513 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @khannaraha8817
      @khannaraha8817 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Watching you do all of the detailing with bushes made me realize that CS2 already has a line tool, sort of. The area tool allows you to make polygons, and the game puts a fence there automatically. Shouldn't be too hard to hook into that.
