Watching Mark throw the spear for hunting was painful because it excels at melee. The spear is faster and deals more damage than the katana when upgraded.
@@5H4D0W_60D I love the cheap spears for throwing, they do the same damage as upgraded spears when you throw them and you have a spear bag for them too.
@@mateiduma646 I currently main the bow and arrow for ranged combat. Once you find the camp that spawns modern arrows, you basically have unlimited arrows at your disposal.
@Acroselorator Yeah, the spear bag costs two boar skins, two deer skins, two cloths, and three ropes to craft.
I don't have it either cause I've only met one boar in my playthrough, and I spent its skin on the rock bag.

Here's a tip: everytime you leave a cave, all of the resources will be respawned so, if you guys need fuel, batteries, meds and so on, just get out and then back in the cave to get more

yeah, you'll notice that whenever any of them are alone it's 10x scarier. The game is straight up horrifying when you're alone. It's so much better with a team.

Also Mark: **instantly loses his last piece of stamina and stops hitting properly**
TBH Katana is one of the most OP weapons in the game, one just needs to be more wary while using it and use it with plan ahead. I can battle up to six or eight nakeds with this sword without losing any HP, but at the same time needs to check stamina and remember that it is pretty damn useless at blocking (which is a shame, but I hate blocking mechanic in games so it suits me well) and if nakeds nab you from the back, you are done; don't let them hit you. Slash them and encircle, slash and repeat. And then your bone armour empire will prevail!

@@LikePhoenixFromAshes it is not really, it does little damage on the hard difficulty and doesnt block well, it used to be great but with the more recent updates it got nerfed, there is a great video by farket, the forest pro which talks about the all the weapons and there locations and stuff, he has a great channel for forest content.

Fun fact, in terms of base damage, the katana is worse than a club. It also has the lowest block value in the game, but the highest attack speed. It other words, it's just like a real katana, and out shouldn't use it just because you have it

I in general am not a jumpy person but when those 100 armed human octopus jumpscares happened- let me tell you I jumped at every last junpscare in this video and when my mom came in my room she thought I was having a panic attack XD

i love the complete tonal shift from utter terror to time for payback once they found the swords
The fact that Wade singing while Mark climbing up the rope towards the light makes it perfect.
the pop out being the scariest thing in marks history of playing horror games is prolly such a huge compliment to the creators and he prolly didn't even think too much about it
The creators did an excellent job with the caves' atmosphere.
The survival and multiplayer aspect is a good way to trick the mind into forgetting that it's a horror game, that's why he gets caught off guard so often. It's extremely effective
But what about when he played Dungeon Nightmares? (I think that’s it) He nearly had a breakdown and cried, stopping the play through because he was too scared to finish it.
