    The FDA should tighten up regulation on these devices. Until they do, we as consumers need to be extremely skeptical of them. My dermatologist recommends against home use of LED and micro current devices.

      These devices have FDA approval, little wonder a dermatologist would not want home devices available, it takes money from their practice.

    As a fellow esthetician I’m seeing your links are only for brands that you earn a commission on. Solawave constantly moves around the face, instead of having the diodes treating an area for the time needed for maximum benefit.
    Let’s show people more masks that are worthy of their money.

    The metal knobs come off and are a form of EMS from my understanding, hence the shocking ( I personally don't recommend using this feature on these types of masks but rather just removing the knobs) ... Yes you have to lay down when using this type, and I'm sure some are a scam but i bought one like this years ago before LED Was popular for $69.99 and actually had great results. I obviously made sure the light was within the proper therapeutic ranges. Obviously there are probably better ones on the market but if you already have one you may see results.

      Yes I have two as I cannot afford $500 for a branded one. I do not use the micro current feature which is the metal knobs I remove. I think U r supposed to use a conduit gel to reduce redness if using this feature. The cord on my first one stopped working so I bought a cheap 2 Nd hand one on market place. I do lie down to use them and play some mediation music for some down time in my day. It's part of my routine. I have noticed when at home micro needling it reduces inflammation very quickly. So it is helping my mental health and repair time. I still have acne and lines, but I wouldn' t expect the $500 to magically erase them either.

      I actually purchased this a couple of months ago before seeing this video and thought I’d say that it actually does work just from my own experience. yes the strap is pointless. The mask is heavy so you have to lay down when you’re doing the treatment and I just simply removed the EMS knobs, but it did make a difference to my skin.

    I have this exact mask, it was a gift, the ahock that can happen is is a separate feature with its own controls.
    You can remove the knobs entirely as well.
    As for the light therapy itself, I cant say that it's work because ive only been using it for about a week. It does however encourage me to take to meditate and do my whole akim routine.

    So far I'm loving my Qure Skin LED Mask. I did so much research before buying an LED Mask because they are not cheap, and if I'm going to spend the money, I want it to do exactly what it is supposed to do. I ended up going with Qure because the doctors from the YT channel Doctorly, recommended it and a few other creators I trust. Also because the price was good. I still waited for a sale though and bundled one of their other products with it to get a better discount on both. Doctorly also recommended the other product I got too, and between the two things I purchased, my skin is looking incredible!

      @@chickyplaysyt5268 only if the (galvanic) electrodes are in place and activated by the user. IMO, Cassandra has no clue, as she called the electrodes "hard steel knobs". I now have to wonder if Cassandra is really an expert and now question her opinions. I have one of these masks with the optional neck accessory, I prefer it to my more expensive soft silicone mask, as it seems to be more effective (likely wattage). The galvanic therapy is recommended for only a few minutes, then I use the red light. This mask also has a pulse mode, which is recommended by some physicians as the cells actually change size with the pulsation. I have several led masks, and although the hard-shell mask is slightly less comfortable, it is my "go to".

    I have one of those- it has microcurrent which is what those knobs are for. I don't use those. Mine doesn't say anything about being face whitening. I don't mind laying down to use it because what else would I be doing. Mine also doesn't say it's a face whitening device. Is there anything wrong with the actual light? It says it hits the right wavelengths

      It will have an effect, probably not as noticeable as you'd want. But red light also helps you sleep and see better in the dark. so it's not like it's going to hurt you in any way.

    • @psychoslayer6808
      @psychoslayer6808 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      No!! It is not the same with any decorative led lights. The good masks have a certain wavelength that they are required to run on in order to offer any skin bennifits. The wavelengths that are emitting from your bedroom lights are no where near offering anything like that. Cassandra has made multiple videos explaining the differences. I dont know why that other person so confidently told you it would work lol. Google is our friend here.

It’s definitely uncomfortable, I feel like it’s working I had poison oak in my face and I feel like it helped it heal quicker but I honestly came to read all these comments to see if this mask was truly effective. Tbd I guess. I’d be interested to know how to test the strength of the lights coming off the mask to see if it’s strong enough to make a difference on the skin. Anyone know how to do that?

    • @thehappyrecluse
      @thehappyrecluse 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It has to have a specific wave length. I believe 600-700 nm is red and 700-800 nm is near infrared. Then there are specifics in those ranges. There are also things like irradiance (power density) & flicker rate. It is honestly confusing. I'd recommend researching and investing in a reputable brand even though it is more expensive, I have the omnilux contour and love it.

Flipping the strap to hold the side pieces out and then i can place it on my face while doing a foot soak.
