I was at uni in Aberystwyth in the mid-90s and once walked the other way, from Aberystwyth to Borth, where two friends of mine lived. (I think I got the bus back.) There's part of the path, north of Clarach Bay, which was very badly eroded and not really safe to walk on, though I managed it. I would have thought that bit would have fallen into the sea by now -- what's it like today? Have they re-routed the path or are you still taking your life in your hands?
Thanks for comment & sorry for late reply (some errant setting!). The path does detour inland a lttle ways in places, and never felt unsafe, so that may be the area you're thinking of. It's a great walk, isn't it? (& the nice WX helps!)
