      I would say Arthur Morgan's story is the best, but for different reasons perhaps. I would say his is the best, because his is the most human, he's has done things that he regretted, but in the end proved a fundamental truth about life, and that is:
      Regardless of our background, upbringing, and our life experiences; whether they were good or bad, that who we are is a matter of our choices. Our choices are what make us who and what we are, and we can choose to do what's right.

    What a throwback to the real assassins creed games. I miss the old days, where I couldn't wait for the release of Revelation and replaying AC2 and Brotherhood while waiting.
    Regarding story, I feel like the Ac1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelation where the deepest. Everything after that wasnt that deep, still played them all, but non of them achieved the same depth as those games.

    Not gonna lie, I was probably too young to play this series when the first few were released. But the Altair and Ezio storylines had a really profound effect on my outlook on the world and how fate can act. Obviously I know it's all story but the thought of absolutely everything being out of your control, written in stone centuries before only to be filled out like prophecies centuries later past your own lifetime. To this day the first 4 games give me a sickening existential dread in the pit of my stomach. The games and story kinda fell off for me after that, but holy crap did they do something with origins and odyssey 😅

    • @MrNAWFSIDE
      @MrNAWFSIDE ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with absolutely everything you've said Cathrine, AC2&3 are definitely in my top 5 in the AC Series, them two placing at #1 & 2, with AC3 taking place of #1. Odyssey is hard putting at #3 because it's such an amazing experience and game to play, but gotta give appreciation to the OGs. Than at 4&5 are AC: Origins & Blackflag.

    Easily the best part of Assassins Creed story. Ezio's trilogy is by far superior to all the nonsense that came after it, it was simple, deep, perfectly executed, had understandable and relatable story, and everything in it was believable and possible. There were no gods, mutants, superheros, superpowers and other nonsense that came with later stuff, no stupid rpg elements, no diving for 40 hours to get the chests, no loot boxes. Damn, it was a simpler, better time. So sad to see how far AC has fallen from grace with all the fluff.

    I remember how engaged I was with this games story, especially with Ezio’s timeline. Then 3 came out and shit the bed so hard all for the sake of cashing in on the name. Now the series feels like a hollow shell of itself, the story pushed to the wayside and wandering aimlessly so long as the series turns a profit. With the live service model coming all I can think about in in regards to Assassin’s Creed is just wasted potential 😢

    Power. Hatred. Fear. Truth. These 4 aspects Determine our creed. For nothing is forbidden, Everything is permitted. Work in the shadows to bring the light. If we work in silence. To make others speak the truth. We are an ancient order. Dating back to time unknowable of humanity. We are the Assassin. Our creed is known across the planet. Wherever injustice may be. An assassin will come to cut it down. Wherever mankind is oppressed. assassin shall come to free them. We are the magi We are the guardians We are the silent hand that It keeps the wheel of the world astern to the wind. We are people a pride. We are people of hope. We are people. Who have looked to the sky and thought. There has to be a better way. We are one and all each in every one of us assassins. Some might not be able to climb buildings. Some might not be able to make the leap of faith. Some might rely On computers. Others might decide to simply Rush headline For the desire of blood. But in the end, each and every assin each and every one of us is united by the Creed.
    Nothing is forbidden, Everything is permitted.

    Have to admit that the only big mistake Ezio made was sparing Rodrigo Borgia, had he killed him, Cesare would never know where to find the Assassins

    I can't explain how much I cried at the end of Revelations. I adored Ezio so much he is by far my favorite character in Assassin's Creed.

    Best AC game ever. This is the only game I ever 100% on Xbox because I couldn't get enough of it. I really miss the Ezio/Desmond storylines.

    An Assassin’s Creed with someone in Desmond’s family/background but never does the stupid ass, meaningless induction, being an Assassin hunted by both sides of the conflict but also a third party who go against both sides as a chaos factor.

      Actually doesn’t have to be Desmond’s family. Could be 16.

    There is a certain nostalgia for me for the Ezio trilogy, but I cannot help but think they were the most polished (lore-wise) games in the AC universe.
    I will never forget hearing Minerva finish her speech and saying alound "what the fuck" just a bare second before Desmond says the same
