  • I would describe a member of the Secular Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Teresa of Jesus as a practicing member of the Catholic Church who, under the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and inspired by Saint Teresa of Jesus and Saint John of the Cross, makes the commitment to the Order to seek the face of God for the sake of the Church and the world.

Another night, another vid 😊 I grew up in a Calvinistic, non-credal, Protestant tradition for whom the was no substantive eschatology and certainly no theology vis communion of the saints. Deep inside, even as a child, I knew there was more; I can’t tell you how I knew, but I knew. When I discovered New Advent’s collection of the early Church father’s writings, along with the Catechism of St. JPII, it was like… YES!!! I KNEW IT!!! Now, some 25 years later, Our Lady led me to Carmel and blessed me my community and with you Fr. Aloysius. What am I that God should even bother? Nothing. Nobody. An incredibly unprofitable servant. But He loves me and I am trying, finally, to love Him back. Thank you Fr.

Father, I love hearing to you.
I feel you belong to our community too.
Now I will pray for you.

Very encouraging. Big challenge for me as relationships in my primary family were very painful. Thank you. God Bless you. 😇🕊🙏

Three 3 Powerful points made, helpful, both valuable and important: Spring Board = Beautitudes, Swimming = Virtues, and the image of parish meaning the life of Carmel and the Life of Carmelites is relevant for your parish and the world, not just relevant but so necessary - Good Theology is Good Psychology and what works for the Carmel community will also that Truth will also be applicable to the parish - Oh Father tell us the story about how Carmel resisted working in the parish when requested to do so by a cardinal and then when the Cardinal made Pope - Carmel was ordered to enter into parish life - parish pastorship if that is indeed the history of Carmel as I was formed in.
