OCDS #80 - Constitutions Articles 39 & 40
I would describe a member of the Secular Order of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Saint Teresa of Jesus as a practicing member of the Catholic Church who, under the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and inspired by Saint Teresa of Jesus and Saint John of the Cross, makes the commitment to the Order to seek the face of God for the sake of the Church and the world.

Where can I find a traditional lay carmelites order that uses 1962 Rule and the Tridentine mass?
As far as I can tell, Discalced Carmelites don't exclusively use the Latin mass, but they are warm to it

What if the community doesen't want to let you go?
Enjoying working through these vids....
Thank you for these videos. They are so good for my first year of formation. God bless you.
Very well done, thank you Padre: It seems to me Pope Francis compliments and encapsulates in “Vos Estis Lux Mundi” the Sign of The Times; much of what has been said here about separate identity and preserving that separate identity while being responsible and committed to increasing one’s capacity to tolerate Truth: In the secular world we say one needs a structure to be able to make “Career Insulating Decisions” in Carmel one could say a structure of make “Vocational Insulating Decisions”. Perhaps a marriage of Obedience and Responsibility. The Church tells us who we are and “Vos Estis Lux Mundi” identifies for Carmel how to be responsible in all circumstances including “Anonymity”. What a beautiful opportunity to carry forward Mother Mary’s responsibility towards and effort about, the needs of others - “Son They Have No Wine” . One of our Carmel formators is fond of reminding us that if we are not comfortable with Truth this side of the grave perhaps, we will not be comfortable with Truth the other side of the grave and if that is so, meditate on what that means for our personal eternity. In our formation we ask this question: Why would Pope Francis need to promulgate “Vos Estis Lux Mundi” and what Voice can Carmel contribute to the “Sign of the Times”, in community or outside of community in what one could call “Asymmetrical” circumstances and relations with Church through Carmel.
Wow! another gem! Being in continued formation outside of meetings via your channel is so edifying to my vocation! Thank thank you! Btw: did you receive the papal document I emailed to you?
Your discussion and explanation is so helpful. Especially the questions to ask yourself. Thank you so very much.
Thank you, Father Deeney!
You are very welcome
Another night, another vid! 😊 I am behind, Fr. I have been working on an an academic paper for the last year and now that I am in the home stretch, it has consumed all my mental energy, including my vocation and prayer. Please pray for me.
