I really enjoyed the video I learned a lot I have been striping free years and then got away from it I just recently started back and really enjoy it I have been hot riding since 1963 I am now 70 years old and I still enjoy the art of pinstriping.
I just recently got interested in pin striping and thot I would give it a shot especially since I have a 38 chevy and a 41 chevy wanted to change them up a bit but my biggest concern was that I am left handed and right at the begging of part1 Mr Harrison mentioned he’s left handed it was probably even more motivation for me to start for sure!! 👌👍
I truly enjoy this video for two reason it brought back memories when back in the early 70's i met Rick Harris mentor Shakey Jake in Tulsa and talk to me something about your oven I like it mainly because it doesn't take up a lot of garage space room being taller than wider. I want to build one so I can have a good reason to buy Eastwood DIY powder coating system.

I've watched all three parts the other day and remember you guys talking about companies that make a lot of colors. Can you remind me who has the biggest color selection and makes metallic colors
Could not help notice the paint spots on the side of the guitar,... bugging me a lot,... I just wanted to clean it up,... I was talking to the screen,... "Clean it up Rick!"
+MrNADEROUSY kinda late but its the school of hard knocks. you learn as you go and you learn from mistakes. they are talking about there era. besides that buy a stripping kit some blank plates and practice. i use a old glass table and taped patterns under the glass and stipe on that then clean off with paint thinner. practice makes perfecto. i dont think there is a school out there that teaches pinstriping. Maby some local automotive repair classes
@@ahmad1ce One Shot is very long lasting. It does fade but takes a while unless the sun is beating down on it or it is damaged/brushed up against often

Amazing and inspiring work. WOW
Nice tips and entertaining too, great guest!
***** Do you pinstripe right over a clear coat?
He is a kind man. Thank you
Nice I really appreciate your job
What is he washing the paint off with that won't affect the guitar finish? Thank you

Great striping. I don't care for using my fingers to pallet. Gets paint everywhere
Nice job, from the master Rick,
Hello watched your other video left comments, this right here you’re doing good don’t need to over comment, I do like your products🕶
Rick, how to you get so much paint on your hands without transferring it to the piece your pinstriping on?
Could not help notice the paint spots on the side of the guitar,... bugging me a lot,... I just wanted to clean it up,... I was talking to the screen,... "Clean it up Rick!"
It's great, i really like it, tk, i'm wondering how to fix the work at the end in order to preserve it? Tk again.
Do you mean clear coat?
@@metalflakerat yes, but now, with your question, I understand. Tk, I admire your art.
19:44 What paint did he say is waterbased? He must not be using One Shot on the demo, I believe it is oil based?
He's talking about the stabillo pencils, not the paint.
I wonder if this fellow knows the name Dennis Ricklives?
Adds easily $1000 to the value of the guitar
Pure skills
So cool.
I'm fron Guatemala
Wanted to let all know that Kafka Brush Company is for sale
Can anyone tell me what paint he's using for the guitar? And what kind of cleaner would be safe to wipe off any mistakes from a guitar? Thanks
Caleb Hubbartt he is using one shoot paint and one shoot reducers
It is called 1-Shot lettering enamel. Wipe mistakes with mineral spirits {sold cheaper as paint thinner]
Great!. Which brush and number is that specific brush?
I'll guess ; it is a Mack ten series with a slight bit cut from the belly of the brush --small size like 0 .
No hair is cut from the belly of the brush as I first thought.
I like to learn that
I want one
"you came from the same school i did" which shcool ? my question is about what's the best school to get a high training

All the hand lettering schools have died out. Pinstriping is all self taught [but with the computer there is a lot of advice and help.
Magnificent. But there's NO POINT in me watching this because I know my limitations.
The hell with this. My hand is far too shaky.
Fantastic upload, informative and easy to watch.
Magne Westby it is such
Make shaky lines part of the designs, maybe? My problem is no talent.
Just a bunch of arcs on the guitar body. Paletting between your thumb and finger is BS.
Nervwrecking and therapy at the same time.
Is it permanent marker ?
It is oil based enamel paint.
@@junkyardjedi7706 does it fade easily? Any idea on that?
Fading will occur if not protected by 2k clear coat.

Don't think it needed the red
Old school guy who pallets on his fingers . Messy methods . Crisp lines .
More painting, less chatter
People are actually paying for this? unbelievable LOL
No speak english how much iskiusmi
Que quieres saber?
Messy as hell! And he uses the same fingers he pallets on to move the guitar around...
You like decals better?
Ehhh ... Doesn't look that good - sorry ... but I think you just ruined that beautiful guitar !!!
