- After rescuing thousands of people in Florida during and after Hurricane Helene, the state is sending crews up to western North Carolina to help rescue trapped Floridians.

It’s part of our Florida culture since we have to deal with these terrible storms so often. Plus, we are giving back what has always been done for us as well. Caravans from other states come in to assist us as well with search and rescue, recovery, and restoration. Our American 🇺🇸 citizens are always there for us too!!!

It’s part of our Florida culture! We have also been blessed with every storm that come where other states drive caravans down to assist us. We are just giving back what has been done for us as well!!! We may not be able to count on our government but we can count on our governor and our citizens!!!🇺🇸

I always told myself they're just possessions. The hard part was losing personal pictures stay safe I've been donating money to Christian organization that brings supplies to the hard hit areas from the devastating hurricane

It's not a governor's responsibility to provide taxpayer funded transportation to non-residents to return to wherever. A governor signs and executes state laws and deals with issues that are intercounty and intercity. The entire western part of NC up to about Charlotte was impacted. Roads and bridges all over were destroyed. Some small towns are gone completely. An enormous number of trees and power line poles were uprooted and downed. Who knows how many lost their homes, vehicles, and personal belongings.
A sea of utilities crews and others from many US states and Canada poured into NC very quickly to help them. Even so, it still can take many months or longer to fix/replace just the public areas. It's long past time for people like you, who want gov bureaucrats and politicians to be your daddy, to grow up. It's long past time for people like you to stop idolizing braggarts who tickle your ears. The ones doing all the actual work never seek the spotlight. Suggest finding God and asking Him to give you a normal adult brain to replace the current one.

Our governor is a great one but there are other conservative governors of other red states like Kristi Noem and Sarah Sanders that sent national guard troops along with Governor DeSantis to help Texas with the border.

I can't even tell you how much this means to me. Tampa is my home of birth. My whole family pioneered Florida after we migrated from the North/South Carolina Appalachian area on my mom's side, and Eastern Tennessee and Florida on my dad's. To see my hometown come to our rescue up here (I moved here because of the mass exodus in 2020 raising peices to high for me to go back home afyer getting out of the military in 2013, I moved here) in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I love you guys. ❤

Ty for doing this for my state and my neighbors. What is happening up there is heartbreaking. There are fewer roads and it can be very remote. A lot of these people are very resilient but really dont have a ton of money to recover. This will go down in history for our state and many are still missing. God bless them.

Thank you Florida for helping your neighbors out. One great thing about Florida government is they know how to respond to these disasters…they’ve got something of a system to respond……the other states that have been affected don’t have that….theyre not use to dealing with these things. It would be a great idea for Floridas governor to call and advise the other state governors on how to respond to this, and how to prioritize and get things done. Kudos to the great people of Florida who care about their neighbors!

That is so true! Florida and its leaders are used to crisis and organizing how to put things back together with the help of its citizens and the citizens of other states. Everyone comes together! We are blessed in Florida that our leaders keep us informed which I don’t see in other states.

All business and let’s get it done spirit and dressed to work to…I think he was serving food somewhere in a food line…but I wouldn’t have been surprised if he jumped in an end loader himself and loaded up some sand! He got things going fast! Some of the other governors are waffling, seem like they’re stunned and don’t know what to do…..it’s like they’ve got people expecting FEMA, or the federal government to come in and take over and do everything for them! I lived through Hurricaine Charley in Punta Gorda in 2004…and I know that’s not how things work! FEMA can help but they don’t take the lead, that part is up to Governors and local government! Hope you guys are able to get your insurance claims paid out…I’m seeing there are issues if you don’t have specific flood insurance.

He specifically stated that there are Floridians in NC, and if there are others in need, then they will be helped too. Next time, watch the video more closely. I have friends that live right by the flood zone I've been trying to get down there to help with them volunteering I have all my own tools but I don't have a way to get down there and most people from Florida are taking supplies it's nice to see that Florida has an operation going to help I want to go with them if possible or somebody can help me get there I want to help thank you

Have y'all noticed those jaspers in the Nat Guard don't know how to hike with only a compass? I've hiked back and forth to Yonah mtn twice now. If anyone is coming u will need an ATM and a compass. And gas. Weather may be airish but it's still hotter than the devil's ball bag here.

I’m a Floridian in Canton,nc. I can’t believe the lack of response on a state & federal level. The local response has been amazing but the NC governor should sit down with Desantis and take notes.

@@Tracy-m3n he is sending helicopters and the guard to rescue people stranded in homes and on roofs by floodwaters. I don’t believe anyone in Florida is in that position. Geez, be a good human being. You don’t see Biden diverting money earmarked for Ukraine to help, now do you?
