Indeed!!! The big thing I've learned from this is that AI is very much garbage-in, garbage-out. It's really all about the quality of the training data...But yeah, seeing that pigeon get tagged was quite a rush!!! Thanks for the support!!!
Thanks so much!!!! Unfortunately it's still flagged as a pre-order. It's meant to ship this month but it's anyone's guess. But rest assured, once it arrives I'll get straight on to figuring out how to use it!!!! 😃
Enjoyed the series so far and it’ll be interesting to see how the hardware AI improves things and how many species you can identify! I don’t think you mentioned it, but for those considering this project is how much RAM does it need, eg would the cheaper 2GB Raspberry Pi 5 be suitable? Looking forward to part 4 :)
I don't have a 2GB PI5 so can't be 100% but it should work on there just fine. I'm currently running it on my NAS, an 8GB PI5 along with OpenMediaVault and several other containers and everything is consuming around 1.2GB RAM. So running on a 2GB PI5 should be easy. Thanks so much for the support and I'm glad you're enjoying it! It's unfortunately been one of my less-watched videos so it's good to know someone appreciated it!!! 😃
Watching the pigeon being recognized in real time was very cool. AI is great...sometimes
