I have the same carrier and Watched the video. I noticed that your plates were just put in there. When I added the plates to mine at first I was like, "Ok I've gotta be messing something here it's moving too much." I pulled out that large padding inside the vest and found a hidden pocket that will hold the plates firmly in place. I have 11" x 14" plates with the added build up and trama pads from AR500. Fit great and the plates don't move around. Not sure if you knew about this haha. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
I have the multicam version that I use with plates from AR500. With both plates it's heavy so you have to be in good shape to run it all day. Been using it for about a year and I'm pretty happy with it. For the price, it's hard to beat.
I watched your video before buying this plate carrier. A couple points I can add now that I own the small/medium version: 1) It's really sized for SAPI plates. It doesn't have a good system for keeping a regular 10x12 plate as high as it should be. Condor could have added another inch of velcro in the plate pockets for the retaining strap, but didn't. Kind of a lame place to cheap out. 2) It'll fit some concealment kevlar vest panels well. It's actually a remarkably good fit for the police surplus vest I had. 3) You can put it on really fast for home defense situations if you leave one side of the cummerbund undone, and use the two velcro straps/tabs on the bottom of the MOLLE front panel to hold it up and stick it to the velcro loops on the upper chest portion meant for badges/patches. It took me a while to figure that out. Now I can slip it over my shoulder, attach the cummerbund, and pull the MOLLE flap down very quickly.
Well I'm glad to see that this gets the job done and has held up well for you. The guys at M4carbine usually are quick to dismiss condor as "cheap air soft crap". It's nice to see someone proving that certain items they make are quality. Thanks again for another great review.
Midwest Armor had a great deal going on their Guardian IVs (I have a test video here on the channel) for my viewers last month. Maybe if you shoot them an email and ask if you can get the old price they'll help you out....? US Palm is not very friendly to me here (in terms of getting stuff in ) for some reason. I've never bashed their stuff or anything... Who knows; maybe that'll change.
Love the video I just got the same one in the mail today and my plates are on the way 3+ with side plates 11x14 and 6x8 . I’m looking forward to training with it
Mine will barely fit XL SAPI plates, but fit they do in the inner pockets, this leaves the outer pocket free if you want a soft armor insert too. The only issue is that as a skinny guy (6'2" and 185 lb) the shoulder straps are tightened all the way and barely get the plates positioned properly. One tip is to lace elastic para cord in the MOLLE loops at the rear to keep the cummerbund from slipping around. While I would not want to deploy in this it seems to be fine for casual civilian use as my "bump in the night" protection.
Awesome, just bought the exact same one color and size. Glad to see its a good one. The onsite reviews were good but you never know who posted them. This reassures me that I made a good purchase. Great vid man! Nice guns too!
Don't know if this has been asked and answered already but I have the L/XL and it fits my AR500 Armor 11X14 curved. I use the Condor Side Plate Utility Pouch when using my AR500 Armor 6X8 side plates.
good stuff. been considering this for me and the wife. looking at 2k for our body armor alone and this price keeps pulling my attention. the dkx in level III for me front/back/sides and level IIIa for wifey front/back/sides is reasonable as armor plates go(and it floats and weighs 2 lbs for big plates or less!), but whew! relief from this products price seems like a nice alternative to the $400.00+ models!
Great job man, although this item isn't for me, it's pretty amazing to see how many reviews you pump out.. Lots of work involved, just wanted to let you know your hard work doesn't go un-noticed! Keep em' coming!
Not sure if you will reply since this is such an old video but, I'm 5'11" and 165lbs. Would the large/X-large be to big? I don't want to max out the small/medium and outgrow it in 1 years time. Thanks and great review!
Have you at all been able to check out or compare this plate carrier to the Condor Quick Release plate carrier? I'd like to see a review on that one. Thanks!
differently buying one thank you soo much for sharing this I've been looking at other reviews but couldn't find a good one except for yours thank you have a good Christmas, and a happy new year.
I see you run lots of AK variants. Having said that have you ever run the Vz58? It isn't an AK variant. It looks kind of like one. it's superior in every way.
I like your videos. very informative. I see that you carry your sidearm on your belt when equipped with plate carrier. isn't it best to wear drop leg when wearing PC. I think having it in drop leg is better for rapid engagements
Between this and the MOPC, which would you run? They look extremely similar and I already have the MOPC and love it (God bless nutnfancy and his gear reviews), but I've been looking at this one as well for other members of my family.
Mrgunsngear Channel Damn, that means I'm on my own. Thanks for reviewing, man. I'll have to compare between your selling points and nutn's on the two platforms.
I see that this review is pretty old. Have you continued to use it since '13? How has it held up? I've used the Compact Assault pack for the past 12 years for my daily pack, and am on my second due to wear and tear. I used the Orion Assault pack for eight 100 mile hikes in the Australian outback and was very disappointed in the construction and quality. By the third trek, the shoulder straps blew out and I had to use zip ties to keep it together. Knowing that a plate carrier will take similar intense abuse, I'm skeptical about the construction of the Condor Plate carrier.
Well its 1 pound lighter. Lighter weight means more gear. It is no where as near clunky like the AK. You can load it with stripper clips while the magazine is in the rifle. It has a short stroke piston vs the AK long stroke. This makes AK recoil seem stout.Vz58 recoil isn't as stout which means quicker follow up shots. Most of all has a bolt hold open feature which locks back on the last round. The AK doesn't do that. A click from an AK could be a FTF or empty. With the Vz58 you know instantly.
Most helpfull and out of the box video as i made up my mind to make a apurchase of this plate carrier.Could you please share the name of the last song and the band if it isnt to much to ask ?
Just curious as to what size the soft armor panels are that you use in the sides? I am looking at getting this vest to Carry front and back soft armor inserts (10x12).. but was thinking of getting inserts for the sides as well. Any idea what size the Medium vest would house? Haven't been able to find the answer yet. Cheers.
hey I'm 5'11" 185 pounds and I've been looking at this best for airs oft and there aren't any places around me where I can go try on an xpc or any other condor vests what size do you recommend, small/medium or the l/xl?
Alex B Measure your chest & you'll know. I am 5.10 & 190lbs. Small to medium is what I am recommended for my chest size. I am 38 inches around at the top under my arms & that calls for small to medium-sized.
I am interested in getting a chest rig. I would like it to be able to carry three to four AR mags and/or the same number of Glock pistol mags. I am looking at the MCR3 or MCR4. Do you have any experience with either of these? What suggestions would you have for AR and Glock pistol mag pouches?
Do the plates move around at all when you where it when moving especially running. I'm in the market for a plate carrier and I want one where plates stay still. I have two 10x12 ar500 steel plates I will be using.
+Gabriel Ledesma If you didn't use the cummerbund you'd have to make your own method for keeping it together. You could get some straps and fastex buckles and loop them around the MOLLE, or sew on some velcro on the sides and it would attach like a regular vest.
+Mrgunsngear Channel I want to get this plate carrier in the small size but I think It's to big for me. I'm 5,3" 100lbs do you think it's to big? and how much bigger is the large then the small because I can't find any reviews of the small one
Would you still recommend this plate carrier? Has it given you any problems? Are there other options in this price range you would suggest that I should look into instead? Thanks
Do you have any suggestions for where to buy the soft armor at? Will any BALCS/Spear armor fit it? Bulletproofme sells the panels so I am curious. I want to use the vest for my EMS work for sketchy calls.

In my opinion, you provide the most practical and simple reviews on TH-cam. Great job, always great.
I watched your video before buying this plate carrier. A couple points I can add now that I own the small/medium version:

+aluisious thanks
Yes. What way is it superior? It's a good rifle, but the AK has a lot going for it (with some shortcomings for sure as well).
did the ford survive the drag test?
soylent green :D
Well I'm glad to see that this gets the job done and has held up well for you. The guys at M4carbine usually are quick to dismiss condor as "cheap air soft crap". It's nice to see someone proving that certain items they make are quality. Thanks again for another great review.
I know it's years later but the condor flex fit hats are 👍 good hook n loop has held up for years
Not sure. I put a link in the description that probably has that info.
Oh I sure don't miss 29 Palms..........
Good feedback. What was the failure point?
Nice opening music. Great product presentation and a nice guy with zero attitude. Great production. Thank you for your work.
With the Martial Law in the corner, today is more important than ever before to habe one plate carrier and a solid gun
Glad to hear it.
It is. Like I said; the high end stuff is great but most folks just don't need that level of gear. Some do, most don't.
I'd imagine you could insert them but I don't think they make them for it specifically, no.
Love the video I just got the same one in the mail today and my plates are on the way 3+ with side plates 11x14 and 6x8 . I’m looking forward to training with it
It's just cordura fabric; it's not meant to stop bullets so I'm not sure what that would prove.
Mine will barely fit XL SAPI plates, but fit they do in the inner pockets, this leaves the outer pocket free if you want a soft armor insert too.

3V?
Awesome, just bought the exact same one color and size. Glad to see its a good one. The onsite reviews were good but you never know who posted them. This reassures me that I made a good purchase. Great vid man! Nice guns too!
Skyler Henry Nice
Will do.
Unfortunately no to both (can't post links in comments) Google what I wrote--it should pop right up.
Thank you. It does take a lot of my time for sure.
Don't know if this has been asked and answered already but I have the L/XL and it fits my AR500 Armor 11X14 curved. I use the Condor Side Plate Utility Pouch when using my AR500 Armor 6X8 side plates.
Val Halla Thanks.

I really like m4c a lot but everyone isn't a tier 1 operator and sometimes the folks there forget that.
Great channel and reviews! Any chance of reviewing the Condor Cyclone Plate carrier?
tactical veterinarian Maybe. Thanks.
Thanks! Been hearing some decent reviews and it's made in the USA
Great job man, although this item isn't for me, it's pretty amazing to see how many reviews you pump out.. Lots of work involved, just wanted to let you know your hard work doesn't go un-noticed! Keep em' coming!

Do you have the Condor MOPC as well?
It's certainly full size as it's designed to incorporate soft armor too.
Have you worn this with a pack at all
I carry a first tactical 1 day pack w/waist strap and want to makes sure they won't majorly interfere with each other
Have you at all been able to check out or compare this plate carrier to the Condor Quick Release plate carrier? I'd like to see a review on that one. Thanks!
That is a very well stated point. It was pretty overwhelming at 1st being a guy that is new to the AR platform.
Awesome. Thanks. And thanks for getting back to your viewers so quick. You've got a subscriber for as long as you're making videos ,
Good review. I'm currently searching for a good all around plate carrier. It'll be my first one. I'll take condors as a consideration.
differently buying one thank you soo much for sharing this I've been looking at other reviews but couldn't find a good one except for yours thank you have a good Christmas, and a happy new year.
nice
Sounds like a crazy Saturday night!
No stamp yet.
I see you run lots of AK variants. Having said that have you ever run the Vz58? It isn't an AK variant. It looks kind of like one. it's superior in every way.
Glad it helped you out.
Any suggestions on a nice medical bag with supplies ready to go? I'm looking to put something together for a grab and go!
Hey question, what size is the soft armour inserts you have there? Just curious
What size would a 6'3" 215lbs athletic build fit? The L/XL size in your review looks very bulky, I will not be running body armor in it either.
I haven't. I'll see what strings I can pull......
Nice GT. Which year is that?
I like your videos. very informative. I see that you carry your sidearm on your belt when equipped with plate carrier. isn't it best to wear drop leg when wearing PC. I think having it in drop leg is better for rapid engagements
+Michael kayden Depends on preferences and gear selection I suppose.
Have you ever done a review of rifle/pistol plates?
Sure have. Both in fact. Just check my history.
got a diect link..?
p.s. are you attented to the shotshow..?
they've getting better since the beginning indeed
Between this and the MOPC, which would you run? They look extremely similar and I already have the MOPC and love it (God bless nutnfancy and his gear reviews), but I've been looking at this one as well for other members of my family.
TheWitnesserer never used the MOPC
Mrgunsngear Channel
Damn, that means I'm on my own. Thanks for reviewing, man. I'll have to compare between your selling points and nutn's on the two platforms.
i liked this guy before but when i saw that mustang i knew this is a great channel!!!!!!!
Glad that swayed you! :D
Glad it helped.

I have off and on. It’s held up fine with some fraying
Agreed.
Where do you get soft armor that is made to fit inside of this vest?
Indeed
If Im 5 feet tall and 7 inches and 125 pound will the small medium fit me good really interested in this plate carrier
nathan tello probably a M
Great video, any update on this plate carrier? how's it holding up?
Holding up well. Thanks.
Anyone know if this plate carrier works with full cut/rectangle 10x12 plates? Don't mind me, just digging up 10 year old videos to ask questions
Good video man! But where can you find blue soft body armor?
+Bongkajolyz no clue
Good update !
Looks like no interior plate pockets to hold plates in place unless I'm wrong or didn't see them. If so are they in both back and front?
KarlJTS They are; I just couldn't get the angle to show it on camera.
Does it have the option for the throat/shoulder/groin protection attachments?
Good job bro. It should be noted that SOME Condor stuff is made in the USA but it is mostly an Asian import.
Well its 1 pound lighter. Lighter weight means more gear. It is no where as near clunky like the AK. You can load it with stripper clips while the magazine is in the rifle. Thanks for the vid. It covered everything I was looking for in research for a new soft armor carrier.
son dong You're welcome
It reminds me of the IOTV a little bit.
I saw that too
Most helpfull and out of the box video as i made up my mind to make a apurchase of this plate carrier.Could you please share the name of the last song and the band if it isnt to much to ask ?
george georgiou I have no clue, sorry. It was hundreds of videos ago.
its allright keep up the good work :)

***** don't. Know. Sorry.
Thank you
I notice the sizes are not to different from the condor website. Which size would you reccomend for someone that is 5'11 190lbs
I'm 6'0'' 185 and I'm wearing the L/XL so you can probably gauge by that.
What kind of soft armor was that?
hey I'm 5'11" 185 pounds and I've been looking at this best for airs oft and there aren't any places around me where I can go try on an xpc or any other condor vests what size do you recommend, small/medium or the l/xl?
+Alex Bounmiswang L/XL
+Mrgunsngear Channel I'm 5,3" 100lbs do you think the small size would fit me?
Alex B Measure your chest & you'll know. I am 5.10 & 190lbs. Small to medium is what I am recommended for my chest size. I am 38 inches around at the top under my arms & that calls for small to medium-sized.
Great review, I was thinking about getting this. Keep the reviews coming THANKS
Do you think an 11x14 plate could squeeze in the large/XL?
+Juan Ramirez I'm not sure, I'd ask Condor
Mrgunsngear Channel I found a review on a vendors website where the guy said 11x14's fit nice and snug.
hows the m92 pap doing? you sbr it yet?
About to order one now from Carolina Tactical Outfitters. Great price for a great product.
Christopher Roberts Nice. Enjoy.
Thanks.
Great review, ive been trying to order this, but backorder has been crazy.
Storm Trooper Yeah, probably my fault!!!
I am interested in getting a chest rig. I would like it to be able to carry three to four AR mags and/or the same number of Glock pistol mags. I am looking at the MCR3 or MCR4. Do you have any experience with either of these? What suggestions would you have for AR and Glock pistol mag pouches?
Mick Olson I don't, sorry. I'd look at AWS gear; it's really nice for the money
Do the plates move around at all when you where it when moving especially running. I'm in the market for a plate carrier and I want one where plates stay still. I have two 10x12 ar500 steel plates I will be using.
+Taji Tuck all plates will move some when running.
Hi guys can i use this for a PMC work?? its it safe ??
What's up mrgunsngear do you have to wear the exo with the cummerbund
+Gabriel Ledesma not sure offhand, sorry
+Gabriel Ledesma If you didn't use the cummerbund you'd have to make your own method for keeping it together. You could get some straps and fastex buckles and loop them around the MOLLE, or sew on some velcro on the sides and it would attach like a regular vest.
@ Mrgunsngears, you answer everybody's questions, one of these days you gonna lose all your hair, it's gonna take a toll on ya.
finally i have been trying to find someone of a similar height and weight to me glad to know it fits right!
Glad it helped.
Thanks
***** For the money--yes. Yes.
Mrgunsngear Channel Thanks man, what kind of mag pouches do you use when you're using your AK?
What kind of soft body armour insert do you carry beside the steel plates? I would really appreciate it!!!!
Just some random level 3 inserts I've had for a while (probably too long in fact)
Copy I really appreciate the response, by the way your videos are very informatics and instructional. Great job!!!!
Several places. I can't post links here but a google search of the title of this video and "for sale" will pull up a bunch.
Hi. Does it have an adjustable strap for raising the plates height? Thanks
Yes
I am 5'7" 165 and i have been wondering if the S/M would fit well.
Likely
Do you have any suggestions for where to buy the soft armor at? Will any BALCS/Spear armor fit it? Bulletproofme sells the panels so I am curious.
I want to use the vest for my EMS work for sketchy calls.
+Dane G I don't
Mrgunsngear Channel Thanks!
I've been searching the web for this, without avail...can you put hard (6x6) armor plates INTO the cummerbund ? I see the external pockets everywhere, but why not just throw it right into the built in pocket ? I ordered this plate carrier and wanna get side plates, I just don't wanna have those goofy external mounted pockets for the plates
yes
Thanks man, I was just confused because everybody seems to put them in the external pouches, rather than the built in pockets
Aaron Pigorsch- Did you buy the side plates for it? I'm about to order some just curious how the fit, because I measured and it's gotta be tight, even for a 6x6. How's the mesh holding up?
Stitching and weight. Those are the big differences.
What size do you have? I think that's L/XL...
Correct.
i commented earlier about code 3 tactical...well i just found out my order on backorder. watch out it says in stock but ita just not true. its still a great price, lets just see when i gey it...thanks again for the great videos.
If anyone could help me I would appreciate it. I am about 6ft. 165 pounds. What size should I get this in s/m or l/xl?
How's the sizing of the l/XL? I'm 5'10" and i believe i heard you're 6'1"? does the plate carrier seem big?
+Daniel Alvarado I'm 6'0. Fits fine.
Have you tried the condor mopc?? If so which one would you recommend mopc or xpc
I haven't
