hi dont know if someone already told you but the difference between the defender and quick release other than the release is that the defender has side armor pockets for side plates. sweet rig!
Also what you can do with the molle on inside flap is put a mag pouch on each one and then wrap the cumberbund over top of it. As for getting it on and off, I got tired of blindly trying to feel around for the cumberbund inside of it and also got tired of pulling each tab free just to open it up and get at the cumberbund, so what I do now is simply slide it up and off me when I'm trying to get it off and let it slide down over me when I put it on. Works great with combat shirts.
Thanks for your review..... Just bought one in coyote tan. Also did not see any other vest ranging from m-xxl. I'm 6 ft 245 and have trouble finding comfortable rigs. Thanks again nice vid!!
just wanted to say thank you very much for your video. i have been trying to decide on the qpc vs dfpc and this was very informative. spent dam near for ever looking for a vid like this. your work is a appreciated.
Oh yeah, I have this one. eBay 400 Bucks with Accessories. For the life of me couldn't figure out how to put it on without putting it over my body. Thanks, Man! Now i know how to put it on!!!
Great informational video. It helped me figure out what I wanted and this is it. I ordered the tan. Now I think I should have choose the OD Green since I live in Florida. But I heard that I can dye it if Tan doesnt work.
No. I have 5 kids that are all your age and height. I use the Defendor platecarrier for myself as a full grown man, but it will not fit you. However, condor makes a smaller version of this called the operator platecarrier. All five of my kids use this and with plates in it, it fits them very well. Hope that helps.
bad thing about it, is that when i try to look for one, they are always sold out, well in my local place, so i guess i have to buy a NCstar plate carrier
Before I go to far this is not a dig or a slap. Condor, is a Chinese company much like Norinco that take other patens and rebuild them. Mite actually be the same company if you follow the money. Second Condor is a low end tactical manufacturer which if you actually look at the materials, production quality and end result is very apparent specially if you put it next to something like Blue Force Gear, Eagle Industries, or CRYE. The reason you don't see alot of people talking Condor is the ma
I ordered one of these from infidel body armor. I'm 6'3" 288 and it fits me perfect with plates and everything set up. It's ment for large to XXL people. If your smaller then that you should get something a little smaller.
Finaly i found a video of that vest i have it to. I had it for some years but stil a nice vest stil in a very nice condition stil look like new,,,i had try to find the name of this vest for a long time cause the vest have no name tagg in it if you read this can you tell the full name of the vest? And the plate you use can you tell the size in cm? im from sweden and we use everything in cm and mm...:)...Thank you and thanks for a nice video
Where did u get the plate carrier? And how long did it take u get get it? I ordered mine from opsgear on feb 14th, shipped on the 18th and I can't track it. Kinda gettin tired of waiting.
great info thanks looking for a carrier vest with plenty of molly webbing carrier I am torn between this one condor or tac pro gear modular vest you have any info on this?
If anybody is looking for these plate carrier and plates also custom patches and name patches any damn kinda patches you can think of made in USA... Tactical Gear Junkies.. Winchester KY.
Do you still use this carrier at all or do you still have the same opinion of this carrier now, or is the grey ghost the better option? Personally I would think that the extra real estate on the defender is a big plus over the Grey Ghost. What do you think? Sorry if I've missed where you already covered this. Great reviews and great channel by the way.
M Cheh shouldn’t be looking at plates if you need concealment. Im sure you could find a soft armor carrier that you could squeeze a thinner plate into and just run the front but why? Anything without thin shoulder straps is going to be noticeable, so every single plate carrier.
Yes. Go to five 56 concepts Canada Ltd on facebook. There is a pic of my 2 oldest girls who are small and I believe ages 13 and 15 at the time of this pic. My other 3 kids also use it and they are currently ages 11, 12 and 13. My 2 oldest are now 14 and 16 and are currently putting together a vid to be released later this year on kids in the shooting sports and will inclued gear review for and by kids. Keep an eye on the facebook page of five 56 concepts Canada ltd for it`s release.
hi im 5,7 15 years old and 120 pounds so im realy skinny i was wondering if this will fit me TIGHTLY like no wobble at all so if you have a son or someone u could put it one thats around them same description that would be awesome please get back to me
I bought one of this and I'm not to happy with it. For the price I think it's a good quality, but it's a pain in the but to put on. I'm 240 pounds, 6'4" and I can't get it to fit tight. Maybe is because I don't have any plates yet. I will not recommend for slam, skinny people.
hi dont know if someone already told you but the difference between the defender and quick release other than the release is that the defender has side armor pockets for side plates. sweet rig!
When i bought it I was 230, fit just fine with room for expansion. Now im down to 200 and it still fits like a glove. very versatile

@SuperBlockster it adjusts to fit any size
@dtrumptoupee it comes with the foam inserts but no dummy plates. the plates in the video are taken off a surplus police vest
Thanks for your review..... Just bought one in coyote tan. Also did not see any other vest ranging from m-xxl. I'm 6 ft 245 and have trouble finding comfortable rigs. Thanks again nice vid!!

@onlymeoverhere it is one size fits all. The plate carrier will is adjustable to fit anyone
Thanks for actually showing the inside, plenty of videos don't.
i watched your post , and i like what i seen. it helped me make up my mind to what one i wanted, and happy to say i have one now and i love it!
Oh yeah, I have this one. eBay 400 Bucks with Accessories. For the life of me couldn't figure out how to put it on without putting it over my body. Thanks, Man! Now i know how to put it on!!!
Its fully adjustable. I don't know exactly how small it goes but it should fit almost anyone
Great informational video. It helped me figure out what I wanted and this is it. I ordered the tan. Now I think I should have choose the OD Green since I live in Florida. But I heard that I can dye it if Tan doesnt work.
Yeah I'm fifteen and I have what I did is on the cumberbun I disconnected it and use the molle to get the waist tighter
Huge help, was about to take it back because I didn't see the plate pockets
No. I have 5 kids that are all your age and height. I use the Defendor platecarrier for myself as a full grown man, but it will not fit you. It does fit, I tried one at a gun show resently, Im 260 and stocky and it fit great with room to adjust WITH the plates
There are side pockets for that will fit up to 6"x8" plates.
I personally like the Defender Plate Carrier. seems to fit better. I still have no complaints with it
@jgtactical thanks, glad you liked it
bad thing about it, is that when i try to look for one, they are always sold out, well in my local place, so i guess i have to buy a NCstar plate carrier
those chairs in the background, I hate them. If you lean back, meaning leaning on two chair legs, the whole thing becomes unleveled an wobbles.
hahaha
I have actually set in chairs like this and totally agree
Additional colors: "No plans for ACU, and A-TACS will be determined by the 2nd quarter for 2012." -Condor Outdoor Products
I just got one and it fits me fine. I'm 5'11 and 225 pounds with an athletic body build.
@zach11890 it adjusts to fit any size
@junker845 no i'm a student and a reservist with the Canadian forces

Yes it does, it accepts pretty much all sizes
I ordered one of these from infidel body armor. I'm 6'3" 288 and it fits me perfect with plates and everything set up. It's ment for large to XXL people. If your smaller then that you should get something a little smaller.
thanks bro! I was wondering if it would fit man sized men and you helped me out tremendously!!
I'm small and it fits me fine!
they are laced together
Finaly i found a video of that vest i have it to. I had it for some years but stil a nice vest stil in a very nice condition stil look like new,,,i had try

Great stuff. Got mine for Christmas from my liberal wife :)
good video man... what color is yours? going to order but need it to match my uniform
i dont feel that a quick release is necessary. are you going to have to ditch it really fast? probably not. this defender comes off fast enough anyway
good review man. just what i was looking for. might get one in tan.
also, i wish that they put more thought into the backpack and boots, jungle boots in fact
Nope. Go with the Condor Operator Plate Carrier. If you look down this list of comments. I have some good info on it here already.
Thanks for watching, appreciate the feedback
NIce Vid bud. What province are you from?
where the two pieces meet on the back, how is it joined together, i have an oe tech carrier and the two side pieces are just tied together in the back
can you tell me if six rifle mag pouches will fit along the front bottom of the vest?
so is the only difference between this and the quick release vest the fact that its not quick release?
put the damn thing on
Where did u get the plate carrier? And how long did it take u get get it? I ordered mine from opsgear on feb 14th, shipped on the 18th and I can't track it. Kinda gettin tired of waiting.
great info thanks looking for a carrier vest with plenty of molly webbing carrier I am torn between this one condor or tac pro gear modular vest you have any info on this?
is it adjestable to fit smaller people?
do you think you could fit 4 single AK (im looking at HSGI Taco pouches) and a dump pouch effectively or would it be better to go for double pouches?
That isn't soft armour its just padded material that comes with carrier
If anybody is looking for these plate carrier and plates also custom patches and name patches any damn kinda patches you can think of made in USA... Tactical Gear Junkies.. Winchester KY.
What is the difference between this and the Condor MOPC?
That's a really nice table
does it have side plate carrier in it?
Do you still use this carrier at all or do you still have the same opinion of this carrier now, or is the grey ghost the better option? Personally I would think that the extra real estate on the defender is a big plus over the Grey Ghost. What do you think? Sorry if I've missed where you already covered this. +Ben Gardiner Don't have it anymore, I have since swapped it for a Grey Ghost Gear plate carrier, but my opinion of this carrier remains. Great value.
what is your height/ build? how adjustable is it for smaller people?
Excuse me, what is the name of the soft armor(?) and the plate you put in the vest?and the size is? (sorry my listening is not so well...)
It is not soft armour, it is just "filling" that came with the vest to bulk it up. The places are Irish level 4 surplus plates.
Would the operator platecarrier fit a 5' 6" 90 lbs. kid?
Do you believe this could work under a work shirt as a concealed carrier ? Trying to find something that will hold my ballistic inserts and plates
M Cheh definitely not, it’s a large carrier, nowhere near concealable size
M Cheh shouldn’t be looking at plates if you need concealment. Im sure you could find a soft armor carrier that you could squeeze a thinner plate into and just run the front but why? Anything without thin shoulder straps is going to be noticeable, so every single plate carrier.
Can you please messure the velcro area?
the rig is supposed to be adjustable to fit any shouldn't be an issue
Would that vest fit comfortably with a condor battle belt?
This is probably too late but. I'm 6'7 275 lbs and it fits fine on me.
where did you buy your plates , please respond
@Bikerboy3086 i have 6 on mine. 3 front 3 on the side.
Will this fit really small people????
How do you know what size you need. ?
for home defense purpose, a home made 2mm steel plate, inside a Condor plate carrier, would stop a 9mm bullet???
2mm, are you serious? You need something way thicker
Test it out! Test the plates out first with the 9mm and then see!
Silvia Concha I really hope you test it because it’s not just about thickness. Question is how much is your life worth? Is it worth 2mm if steel?
Does it have side plate pockets?
Yeah, it takes 6x8 side plates.
can this plate carrier hold small ballistic plates on the sides?
Yes. Go to five 56 concepts Canada Ltd on facebook. There is a pic of my 2 oldest girls who are small and I believe ages 13 and 15 at the time of this pic. Defender vs. MOPC. Which would you prefer?

hi im 5,7 15 years old and 120 pounds so im realy skinny i was wondering if this will fit me TIGHTLY like no wobble at all so if you have a son or someone u could put it one thats around them same description that would be awesome please get back to me
@LNstrSWAT olive drab
If that's all you want to put on it? Sure.
Crap! I just ordered one I'm 6'4" 270. Looks like I'll be laying off the sweets.
how low on ur body does it go?
It's fits okay. It covers from my neck to just past my navel. Which is just fine, because when I sit down it's from my lap to my chin.
