    I keep Caridina shrimp so I don’t know much about the Opae Ula or salt water tanks in general but that seemed like a ton of salt! I didn’t realize they needed that much! Very interesting video! I like the new shrimp room too!

      yeah it looked way more than it actually was, the salt i have is in flakes form not powder so it lookes much more than it is.

      Opae Ula shrimp are the first type of shrimp I’ve kept. Very easy and low maintenance. You don’t have to do much at all. Just starting keeping fresh water shrimp after a friend gave me some blue ones, black ones and clear ones. She keeps all different kinds of freshwater shrimp. 😊

      Opea Ula are very hardy, and can live (and in the wild, do live) in a wide range of salinities. Roughly half ocean salinity is the accepted "normal".

    Oh wow, they are going to love their new tank!!!

      They better love it, otherwise I'll have to take it back and give it to someone who appreciates a good tank! 😜

    I got a 12L bowl that I was going to set up for Opae Ula this weekend. I can't wait to start setting it up.

    I like to see the little modifications and such now that you have your new space. Iwish I had room for an open top water source like that. Nice to be along for the journey....

    Very interesting to see what you shared , and its going to be awesome to see what's to come over the next few months & beyond!!! It might not be the biggest OA setup on YT but the level of care will have them living the good life 🏝️🏖️

    Great video, love the addition of video technique and graphics. Wasn't essential as I've always enjoyed your videos before, but somehow it 'does' make the viewing more entertaining !!! I watch for a host of reasons and I'm glad to notice upgrades to your tankroom and your skills. As always 'THANK YOU'

    Glad to see your back and making videos. Do you use a booster for your RO system or just water pressure?

    I’ve had my opae ula nano tank up for a few years and they’ve been breeding decently at times but for some reason I can never get good macro growth or anything. I’ve tried transferring some macro algae’s from my saltwater tanks but they don’t really take. Where’d you get your Cheeto from?

    • @MarksShrimpTanks
      @MarksShrimpTanks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ebay years back I think, it went yellow and then went full on fill the tank mode last year and i done nothing to it.

  • @TMBRACK
    @TMBRACK ปีที่แล้ว

    My opae ula tank is about 3 years old now it's only a nano cube 3.5 gallon, I feed maybe once a month a tiny bit of spirulina powder, not much breeding but there's a lot in there now I need to expand 😊

    • @MarksShrimpTanks
      @MarksShrimpTanks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Woah, your opae ula tank is rocking it! They must be enjoying the spirulina powder feasts. If you're running out of space, it's definitely time to level up their living situation.

    • @TMBRACK
      @TMBRACK ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure what else to feed to be honest and spirulina has been working. I'm thinking of adding a mangrove because the chaeto is a little boring
