I've been riding nothing but fast motorcycles on and off the road my whole life, getting beat-up a bit now, have seen some awesome cruisers lately and most of my friends and family are on them now. For some strange bias however If i'm going to get a cruiser, it has to be American made, yet the performance of the 'Main' american company just kills it for me. Victory to the rescue. I don't understand why more people don't ride these, Great price, clean as could be and they look full custom right out of the showroom. I'm buying one first thing when we get to Austin next year and out of Chicago. (I love Chicago don't get me wrong, but Austin? Year round riding, great music etc....no snow). Thanks for the great vid and inspiration.

Bought a Victory Hammer 8-ball, which is also my first bike, much thanks to this video. It looks amazing. Guess i'm in love again. Now i'm just waiting for my licence so i can drive this badass. Great videos man! Hope you make some more of them! :)

Congrats and welcome to the club!! You're riding a 700lb bike now, not some puny sports bike! And upgrade to better bars (stock bars look cheap) and louder exhaust with a power commander as soon as possible. Loud pipes will save your ass one day!

+A TG He doesn't have any regrets. He prefers it because of the Harley name, the sound, the paint scheme, the ergonomics and the classic Harley look. I rode his and I can tell you that I find forward controls awkward. I prefer mine when it comes to comfort. By the way, you can always get a forward control kit for the Hammer. The Hammer has a more modern look, it has much less vibration, it's more dependable, it's very well balanced, oil changes only require 1 type of oil (Harley's require 3), and most importantly , it has more POWER! Every time we race his Fat Bob gets DESTROYED!!!
Your bike looks great! I just purchased my 2015 Hammer 8 Ball and love it. Hey how did you get your turn signals smoked out? Also what kind of handle bars are those...they are sharp. Keep the vids coming. be safe.
+Daniel Navas I sprayed them with 4 light coats of VHT Nite Shades paint and then had a bodyshop apply 2 coats of high quality clear coat to give them a flawless finish. The bars are Victory Hammer Drag Bars. The Victory website sells them, but I'm sure if you search around you can find them a little bit cheaper.
You still have the bike? If so what are your thoughts about the bike after having it for a while. How is the bike in corners, do the pegs quickly touch the ground when cornering?
Yup, still got it. I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon. I know the limits of my bike so I rarely lean too hard to scrape the pegs. I have no problem keeping up my my friends that ride sports bikes. Watch the video "Victory Hammer Slicing Corners".
Very satisfied. Iv'e had it since 2012 and it hasn't had any problems. Idk how fun it would be for you since you're used to running a 1/4 mile in the upper 9's, lol. It's comfortable and it's a head-turner for sure though.
Derek Baroody I ordered my plain black spiked grips from victoryonly.com. The problem was that they were too slick! So I bought two Bell bicycle grips, cut the ends off, then put them on the spiked grips with a little soap and water. It works great! It adds thickness and provides a way better grip. It was very easy to install. First, pop off the chrome caps on both ends. Your left grip is glued. Either cut it off OR spray it with WD40 and pry between it with a flat screwdriver. For the throttle side, remove the bolts on the housing. Then disconnect the cable from the grip. It shouldn't take longer than an hour.
Cool. love the look of the 2015 hammer 8 ball. My dealer here in Colorado cant find one in this state or any states touching us. so i put in for a 2017 Hammer S. the white racing strips will be matte black and ill be putting an 8 ball headlight on it.
Oh damn. I didn't realize they went back to the circular headlight. I've always liked the bullet style better. A couple months back I upgraded to the black led headlight kit . Not only is the field of view wider and brighter, but it also totally changes the look of the bike for the better.
Ill be looking into that for sure! I liked the single gauge of the 8 Ball also. the 2017 has 2. might have to deal or look into a kit to make it read off 1 gauge.

Hey Wally, it's because of your video I ordered the hacker rippers for my hammer. Did u use the O2 sensor bungs from Hacker or the stock O2 sensors?
