While you're in there you might as well remove the TCM (transmission control module) from it's current location and zip tie it to the brake lines behind it. The TCM will eventually fail due to the heat and vibrations from where its mounted.
I recently changed my mounts in an Australian 2011 Mazda 3 Neo (AUTO) BL Series, when I received the mount supposedly suited to my car (Transgold TEM3081 for those wondering) it created a whine in my transmission, I assume resonance through the frame of the vehicle as there is meant to be a rubber 'bush' in the mount to fit over the transmission mount itself, when I finally worked out what it was, I bought a new one which had this bush in it and viola! no more noise. For those who may be having a similar issue, changing the mount on my 5SP auto to the KELPRO MT7488 (from REPCO) seems to have fixed the problem. Hopefully this comment saves hours of frustration as I wish someone had the wisdom on this subject but no one has any idea, and fair enough. It's a problem caused by a missing part on the new mount basically. Who would have thought that? Anyway, if you have an auto and your mount doesn't come with the bush, don't put it in. and don't use your old bush either...
Please can you, or anyone who knows, elaborate on what the bush is and where its located. im about to make this repair. its clear that ive been sent the wrong fin looking part for the the lower mount. just hoping to have a better experience with this mount. it looks good but where is the bush please
Just replaced the same mount in my kids Mazda 3. The rubber piece you put under the plate... you put in upside down! Slotted side goes down on the transmission.

Sorry I deleted my comment by accident. Customers usually complain the most after they spend the money haha. So today I went back to check my work on this transmission mount. I changed it a few months back but continued to feel shakes under the floor board. I suspected that rubber insert ( @ 8:15 ) was not seated correctly. Turns it that was the issue, however the insert does not attach to my transmission mount ( OEM ). So when the mount is attached to the transmission, the insert falls below it, serving no purpose. Sorry, difficult to explain properly. This is very strange to me, I wonder if the design of the mount may be slightly different for my model, a 2012 Mazda 5, AT. I was able to pry the insert into place after everything was tightened down, but still needed to wedge in some rubber hose to make it stay. The wobble is about 90 % gone now, but I'm still not fully satisfied. Next time I plan to hot glue the insert into place. Truly a baffling design, too bad there doesn't seem to be an aftermarket option for this transmission mount. Thank you for the video!
I think its funny that you just posted this two days ago and IVE got the exact same situation I m about to do my 2011 Mazda 3 mount I bought mine last year but when I bought it i made them switch out the motor mounts . I m curious though was that absolutely necessary that you just took off the filter
@cornellrpgdrums depending on how violent the vibration is and the mounts are new, you could have part quality issue. Or... engine maybe running rough and require servicing. Significance in Vibration is subjective. Check your exhaust hangers... make sure your exhaust isn't hitting the body of car
@MZRFaith ouch... this look like a job for Lucas additive 😆 🤣 despite it not having nothing to do in this situation. Add it to your gas and intake and hope it works lol
But god that sounds like shit something else it sounds like the belt is next to need replacing but let her find out the hard way so you canhave a few more things to do.

This literally happened to me,
@@BetoisDmentD sucks. Did you get it fixed?
Yeah I got one from eBay
It happened to me
Literally failed on mine and did this to my new one. Very good comment
That weight is a harmonic damper. Helps reduce the transfer of vibration to other components.
Thank you!
Like the resonance is essentially a heatsink but for vibration? Is that a good analogy?
Big like to this skilled genius machine operator! Rolling here.

what did you sprayed on those nuts before you attempted to unscrew them. I tried to on mine but it won't bulge. It is tight as hell...
Po171 fixed ? Mines been like that
Very helpful. Common sense and practical commentary
Good video. I'm about to do my tranny mount here in the next day or so. Whenever I did my TCM replacement thay battery box was a pain to remove.
How much would a replacement like this generally cost if you take it to a mechanic?
Shouldn't you put positive first when replacing the battery? Quick way to start a potential fire
How will this create a fire? Explain

Yes. For clearance
Keep going! You're doing great!👏👏😇
i got this replaced it and now my car vibrates a bit more. any suggestion? i replaced all mounts already.
Check your other mounts
@@partsshooter they are 4 im total isnt?
passanger one. transmission one and bottom one 2 pieces. all brand new :/

Lol, mine has 190,000 miles and my filter box does a dance 🩰
What kinda dance??
@@partsshooter the kind of dance that makes me wish id have the money to replace it but I lost my job

I agree. I would have moved that tcm. Or job security
All mechanics make it look so easy.. But by the time he unbolted that mount.. If I did it, my transmission, it would of fallen on the ground. Lol
Just learned something good with that date thing that's a great idea. But they only cost what 11 bucks after taxes
Yes they're fairly cheap, depending on brand
Torque specs?
orque the 17mm nut at the Mounting bracket to 40-45 ft-lbs. h) Torque the long 17mm bolt going through the TMM to 60-73 ft-lbs
A dealership quoted me 556 USD for this job + tax. This includes parts and labor.
Good job
thank you very much
Yayyyyy rolling here again this time with comment and like hahaha 😂😂😂

How is letting her find out the hard way going to give him any more things to do.... What cost her a tow...
Sorry I accidently hit dislike. But i fixed it..now I will go do my transmission mount
