Thanks for sharing! It was definitely hard for me to tell which bear is which when I was up in Glacier National Park with the family last year. Especially the adolescents!

Great video for the 357 magnum have you thought about using underwood 180gr hardcast it's a very lethal round for bears I carry a ruger super redhawk Alaskan 44mag using underwood 340+p+ I'm also getting a glock g20 gen4 to carry for the woods and edc

    New visitor from TB's channel.
I hope you didn't address this elsewhere, but why not the 10mm with good ammo, bullet construction? Though, I have become a 357 Sig fan.
As a long time revolver guy, it was hard for me to warm up to semi-autos, but I did it. I was attracted to the 10mm, because it's relatively common to shoot heavy for bore bullets with it, like I did, still do with my revolvers. But, a Glock 20 is so light and easy to tote, it just took me a bit to get some rounds through it an get comfortable with it.
I find myself hunting pretty regularly in your state, maybe even overlapped some of the same grounds, but I can't get enough bird hunting. I see a good bit of bear, mountain lion, and other things that could get ornery. I leave them alone and they don't bother me, but my thought is some day I'll surprise a big mamma bear with a cub.
Luckily it's just been at the range, but every now and then, a revolver cylinder can bind up a bit. For me, its gotten second nature to work the action, but in a tight spot, it might be similar to getting a stove pipe on a semi, probably pure panic.
Best of luck and safe adventures this spring, around that same time, I'll probably find myself idling down two tracts after those fearsome gophers with my favorite pea shooter, and definitely my keeper 22lr revolver, lol.

Hey, thanks for stopping by. My son has a 10mm Rock Island. It's awesome. Someday I might have to breakdown and get a 10mm. Thanks for watching, have a great day!

I’d go 357 sig with FMJ or hard cast for capacity. 357 mag is more powerful but not by much…also as I’m sure you are well aware of…it’s lighter with the glock. Heavy is hard in the back country and leads to taking it off!!

357 Sig would definitely be my choice. I just love revolvers. That chest rig is awesome as well.

In the woods I carry a 357 Sig with a Lehigh Xtreme Defense projectile.
This might ruffle some feathers, but in the woods I would doubt that a revolver is a more reliable weapon than a Glock. Too intricate mechanics and too many openings. Plus if you got a malfunction impacting the cylinder or you need a reload, you are toast.

I actually have the Underwood defenders for my shield 40. I've had a couple feeding issues with it. So I'm running the fmj's in the 357 Sig. Just don't want to take any chances. Thanks for watching!

@@montanamusings Underwood is pushing the limits on the loads. I assume you tried the 115. might be worth taking another look at the 100 grain version.
Against common wisdom penetration is not an issue when you go lighter with this projectile design. I run the 65 grain at 2100 ft/s.
