Long term strategy, the progess is clear, sit right and enjoy. Next season is going to be massive, other teams go for short term strength and promotion but we are about sustainable success. Amazing to witness this as a fan, team spirit on a level that is rare, special. #PUSB

A gallant effort after a slow start, a form dip through October/November, and again as the cup run overloaded the fixture schedule. A squad just too thin to cope? Understandable that players might take their eye off the league ball as the cup semi approached too, and just a toe nail away from a cup final. As a Forest fan I say well done to all at Coventry City, you did great. You still have a role to play in the division, in matches where the opposition still have something to play for though, but keep up the good work. Finally my best wishes to your club, players, staff, and supporters, for another successful season next time around. A better start to build on though!! Be well everyone.

After the Sunday Semi. It was always a big ask to get a result tonight. But going forward, we have to be able to compete at the top level. Sunday 1st half we played like a championship team but second half like a premier team. Let's stick with the premier team. Well done lads but next season auto promotion

Being realistic: A) Top club, Leicester, are 30 points ahead of us, B) The 3 promoted clubs last season look like coming straight back down. Conclusion: We're not ready for Premiership...yet. But we must do a lot better next season. I just hope we don't lose Robins.

whilst i enjoyed Wembley, i feel that we could have made the playoffs without that distraction, tonight is obviously a hangover from Wembley. If we want to participate in multiple competitions, we have to increase the size of the squad considerably. Kasey Palmer, where do i start... i wish he would turn up more often and i wouldn't have to agree with other people that he is a luxury player.

  • @ExcaliburGB

Time to now start looking at what we've got and what needs to change to be able to step up the extra 25% needed for a real promotion push next season.
Callum O'Hare seem like he is going to leave one season before he gets his legendary status when we get promoted next season. That's a real shame, I get the money and aims for better, but timing is everything. While leaving he gets to move up, staying one more season gives him the promotion and the mission complete boast and honoured with life long legendary status. I hope he see this, and the inner child wins over the grown up. If the inner child wins, he stays because it's about dream not the money, if the grown up wins, he will leave. I'd hate to be him.
As for the team. Palmer needs to find the second half of his game, the absolute will to die to get that ball and do something with it. Shying away from the hard work is noticed by everyone but his contribution doesn't warrant forgiveness for not doing the dirty work. If he can find that dirty hard work side of things, he's a premier league player, without it, he never will be. I have faith in him.
The CBs, been an eye opener for them. Big step up and it showed sometimes, but you also see the play inside them desperate to get out, those runs and searching passes are good and will improve over time, but there speed with the ball while keeping it is too slow, keep it by all means, but move it quicker between yourselves.
GK, Collins the right type of goalkeeper, this was a step up season for him, I think he would say, he made some mistakes, but I feel if he can add a bit more muscle on himself, and move the ball faster between him and the CBs, there's keeping the ball, then there holding it and killing momentum, fine line between the two and thats been a little problem. But I expect him to be more settled and confident next season. And we will see the side of him he wants to give.
The midfield. Just needs some more help in numbers. And a flexible winger that can play both sides rather than getting two more.
Attackers, hadji, I think he would say it was a mixed season, same with Simms, looking forward to next season, and maybe get another up coming striker. Mad saying that about Simms and wright, both smashed goals, but just imagine we had got a good start, might have got nearer to 30 each. Maybe next season.
All in all a good season, another mad season. But next season, with the teams coming down, we have a real shot. Doug king is in a spot, he can spend and keep within the fffp and that would probably hurt the business plan if he goes nuts spending, or he can gift a chunk so the fffp doesn't effect us and he can increase the amount he wants to take out the club each season as his wages to recoup.
But £20mil(£30mil with wages), spent correctly, that's an average of seven players at around £3mil each. But who knows what he has planned out. What ever it is, we back him.
Next season is the one. We could actually dare to dream that we could go for the title if Doug really wants it.
