There's a lot wrong with VAR, when it should intervene, when is the technology 'good enough' to call such minute margins etc. I thought this was addressed within the rule, that a clear and obvious error has been made. Using that logic, I'm infuriated by this call (or that it was taken out of the lino's hands) given it was effectively given on the pitch. Where was the clear and obvious error? Which then leads me to consider how a frame chosen and viewed from that distance and angle could possibly, precisely (without any doubt) call the milisecond the ball 'was played' to determine when the lines are requested. Such a travesty, undermining a game played in the heat of the moment, with instinct, talent and passion by attempting to convey pixel accuracy using a system designed for a tennis court!

100% agreed!! Exact moment of playing, right angle, so many factors to take into account and to kill such a historic moment for it, while he was not even profiting directly even IF he had been offside, seeing how he was really waiting for the ball, not starting too early... It's criminal to use VAR for this!

Amazing day out…..heart attack territory but the statins did the job🥵 video online taken by a fan square with OHares pass clearly shows Wright was onside as the ball was kicked. Robbed of the finest comeback in Cup history by a pleb in a basement miles away. The game needs to look at this junk asap.

We are such a weird team, one minute we look like we can't string a pass together then the next we create madness like this. If we can be consistently switched on we will walk into the premiership and I feel now with an entire first season under Doug King we are putting those pieces together, next season we will stronger still and closer to achieving it.

@@Bhodisatvas I hope you are right. Clubs who have been in lv1 will have much bigger budgets, and we can't complain if players leave for the money. But MK/Avi/MR seem to have built an amazing team spirit, with the city/county on board.... that's from a 3G supporter who watched his first game in 71? and watched support bleeding away in the 70-80's. I live exUK and the inet has reconnected me to the club. It's just wonderful to see the support from the 10th largest UK city.
Agreed about Sisu, it would be a travesty for them to be part of this. But King is lucky to have a manager in MR etc, and vice versa. I think Cov is now an attractive club for aspiring players, so if w lose some, the ones we get will be hungry.
