I'm so glad she acknowledged her viewers who aren't mums and or pregnant. That's meeeee. I'm 21 and honestly still very immature but I love watching these videos. Maybe I'm just nosey
Love that you said fed is best. I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding my son as he wouldn’t latch. I found it so stressful and really hard with the different nurses trying to help me at the hospital as they all had different techniques of what was ‘best’. I was able to exclusively pump for 5.5 months. The stigma and shame some place on mother’s who formula feed really breaks my heart as you just don’t know anyone’s story. Breastfeeding doesn’t come easy to everyone. I’m 19 weeks pregnant with my second child so these videos have been so fun to watch while I’m on the same journey :)
100%!! A lot of my friends formula feed for numerous different reasons and I think every mum should follow their gut and look after their mental health first!!
@Alison Bolton I’m so glad you had amazing support from your husband. Your poor cousin that would have been extremely stressful for her having a mum with such strong views on formula feeding. Heartbreaking.
Couldn’t agree more! A lot of nurses are not “educated” in formula either so they refuse to give advice and really push breast. I had similar issues with health nurses when I was switching to formula because I had no supply (and yes I tried everryyyyythingggg) A very very negative and anxious experience.
Old school nappies are fantastic for burp/clean up cloths. They are also great to pop under their little bums while changing if you don’t have a mat. They can also be rolled up to stop the baby sliding down the bassinet and their legs hitting the bottom of the bassinet, especially if they have reflux and you need them on a tilt. Just place it under their legs, and up against their bottom.
My boyfriend and I have decided we want to start trying for a baby and I have been full on diving into anything baby related. For me this video was very helpful! I can’t wait to meet your beautiful bubba!
Hey Lovely, I just wanted to suggest to you that you might like the SnuzPod4. I'm nearly 30 weeks pregnant and spent a lot of time researching bassinets that ticked the boxes you literally just said in this video! It can tilt for reflux, it can adjust to your bed height and has one side that can open and close, making it easy to co-sleep safely with Bub in the bassinet. It can also be rocked if not being inclined for reflux, and it has an excellent ventilation system. My fiancé and I spent the other weekend building it, and it was super easy and it also looks really nice. We have a beachy californian style home and it fits in well aesthetically :) xx
As a mum of a 7 month old, I 100% agree with these recommendations! We got that swing too and she hated it. Burp cloths are like multi purpose tools. I ended up opting for our hand towels in the end. We had a rattan bassinet and it was so hard to lift her out of it for feeding (bf too) it was so much taller than our bed! Next baby I’ll be buying a co sleeping bassinet as well. I’m so excited for your family to embark on this new journey together. I hope this labour experience is a lot more positive than Fox’ so you can look back and not be so traumatised. Sending you blessings and love. Can’t wait to see the new little Tilse! 🤎
This was very interesting to watch. I’m not a mum (one day I will be), but even as a young adult it’s nice to know what is good and what to think about for later on. I hope that made sense but it seemed you had a massive list and I would love to see a part 2 of this! If you can. I hope your doing well and had a beautiful weekend. Cannot wait to see your bump grow and the newborn videos to follow. Much love xx😊💗
I loved my 'tutti bambino' co-sleeper bassinet- has the fold down side you spoke about and is bigger than a moses basket so lasted my daughter about 5 months. 100% recommend, can easily adjust the height for reflux bubbas too. And 'snuggle honey' fitted bassinet sheets fit perfectly too.
We had the snuzpod and loved it, especially being able to hold his hand at night! We always used it with the reflux bar in place so he was tilted slightly. He is tall and had out grown it by 5 months but up until then he had plenty of room.
I loved our halo bassinet. It went right beside the bed and one side could come down when picking up our babe to breastfeed. It also had a light and vibrations that really helped our daughter overnight. I’d highly recommend that bassinet for anyone in need! It’s also height adjustable for different bed heights.
I used the ‘Venice Child - California Dreaming Portable Crib’ bassinet for my daughter and swear by it! I LOVED IT! You could change the height of the bassinet (and I’m pretty sure you could adjust the head to sit up higher than the foot of the bassinet) AND it unzips the entire side of the basinet. So you have the option to leave it zipped up or unzip it completely where the entire side comes down and it’s open like how you mentioned you want for new baby. It was super inexpensive, great quality, not super bulky so it fits nice in your space, and had a lower part under the bassinet to hold items underneath if you want that extra space. I hope this helps!! ♥️
I’m not a mum. YET. However I really enjoy watching this stage of your life Sarah and these helpful tip videos! Just creating a memory bank of all these tips for just in case 😁. Thank you for sharing this journey of yours with everyone.
For the bottles, I would suggest going to the store and buying single bottles. Not the 3 pack of one particular brand. Get 3 or 4 brands and 1 single bottle of each. The baby will decide what bottle it likes. Then once baby decides order a few more. For the swaddles, the Velcro swaddles are the best. I bought nursing tank tops off of Amazon, they have a spot in them that you lift up, or some have zippers. Then I didn't have to worry about wearing layers for my stomach to not show. We have 4 girls, youngest is 1 and I still love watching these videos! Idk if we are done having kids or not but it's fun to see all the products.
My baby was always being work up with Velcro. We switched to The Miracle Blanket from Target and it worked like a charm. I hated when he would pee through it cuz he slept so good! That was our fave fave fave 😍
@@caritasdecaro8019 my babies actually didn't like being swaddled. They wanted their arms up my their head so I did the baby sack from the start. Now they have the zipper sack thing that they can fit their arms up a little bit. The only thing with the Velcro is it's so loud!
So here for the fact you acknowledged those of us who aren't pregnant or having children/ have any plans of having children soon, I'm 22 and honestly can't wait for the day that I have my own family. A loving husband, beautiful baby's and cook with them the way you do with Foxy now
I also used those Old cloth nappies for burping. But I didn’t use the Terry toweling ones, I used the thinner softer ones. And I also used them in the bassinet, I folded them in half, long ways and tucked it in at the top where their head/mouth is, so that if the spit up abit or just what ever, then ur not changing the sheets every day as all u do is take the dirty cloth off and put a clean one on. I found it was a game changer and ur not washing bassinet sheets every day. I hope that makes sense 😍😍 Sending u so much love from Melbourne, vic ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Looooved this! I’m 22 weeks with my first bubba and it’s honestly overwhelming how many things there are out there and you can definitely go over the top and waste a lot of money on things you’ll probably never use. Thank you! Can’t wait to see more like this 💕
I would suggest the Joie Roomie Glide Bedside Sleeper - Starry Nights for the bassinet, all sides have mesh (great for air circulation) where most bassinets only have one or two sides as mesh. One side rolls down and it can rock and tilt. The only downside is that the wheels only allow you to roll it side to side not back to front.
Highly recommend the Joie Roomie Glide co-sleeper bassinet.. it attaches to the side of your bed or you can have it seperate as well. If you choose to have it attached to the side of your bed the rails go down so you can easily reach for your baby without getting up at night. It also can be tilted to different levels for reflux. And it rocks (manually) but you can adjust it so it doesnt rock too if you knock it. Its been a god send after my c-section and my babies reflux. Xo
I am not pregnant, but one day I might be. I love hearing about motherhood in general. Any tips and helpful methods are so greatly appreciated! I love all of your content. You display it all in such a raw way. Breaking things down to the foundation and offering simple explanations as to why. Thank you!
Hey, so you were talking about having your mom sew extra fabric around the nursing pillow to attach to your waist - they actually have a product called “my breast friend” nursing pillow that sounds exactly like something your looking for. It buckles around your waist so it’s pretty secure. I have one, personally didn’t use it much with my first baby but I kept it & will be trying it again with baby #2! Hope this is helpful! 💕
Honestly look into the "my brestfriend nursing pillow"! I only breastfed for 4 weeks (mental health reasons) and I friggen loved it! It has a band that goes around your back with lumbar support and its just a simple clip to do up. It is nice and firm and the strap can be made nice and tight so it won't slip. It has pockets that you can keep burp cloths, nipple cream, snacks etc in and the cover is easily removable for washing! They sell them at baby bunting and its literally the best pillow 👌
After having a normal bassinet with our first; I was so so glad I got a halo bassinest with our second. Still their own space. Fully enclosed But swings over the bed and one side easily presses down to get them out in the middle of the night. Complete lifesaver!
Hey Sarah! My sister is now pregnant with her first Child and I'm gonna be an auntie! I was just wondering if you could do a video about your toddlers (foxy ofcorse) favorite things in his room. Like recomendation of childrens books or things you find to be interactive and fun for the both of you! Wanna be a cool auntie that gives the best of gifts but I'm alittle lost since I don't have children myself. Thank you for your time & keep rocking it girl! Best of wishes.
Couldn’t agree more with using the terry towels (cloth nappies) for burping. I used these with our first baby and will definitely be getting them again for our next baby. Kmart and Target sell them at such an affordable price! We now use them to cover our toddlers clothes when she is eating in her high chair and drops food into her lap.
Ftm here. We have never burped our baby over our shoulder. He has a pretty sensitive stomach and sitting him up on our knee, holding his chin, and patting his back or bouncing our knee, worked best. Highly recommend trying it! Best way for newborns too since it supports their neck. 🤍
I know that in a previous video you said this baby could have some health issues, my advice would be to have some button press onesies in case they need to be in special care or nicu. Our Bub had a few cords and the button onesies allowed us to cuddle her without tubes/line all around her face 😍 I was like you and didn’t buy any so day two in special care the nurse recommended them for her comfort and ours. The bonds cozy suits where the best because the button are right to one side!
"Hooter Hiders" is a nice brand for a breastfeeding cover. It's basically an apron but it has a wire in the top so you are able to look down and still see your baby. Very lightweight.
Hi Sarah ! About breastfeeding clothes, we have in France a brand named Tajinebanane which is great for breastfeeding. The clothes (tee-shirts, sweats, hoodies...) have an easy access to the breasts on their sides so you don't have to take off your clothes, just open the zip or buttons and there you go. So practical !
Hey, look into the bassinet that can attach to your bed and you can have the side down for accessing baby easily and for settling bub ect. ABSOLUTE GAME CHANGER for me.
I’m 23. Not pregnant and not hoping to be pregnant in the near future. Also let’s be honest, i will probably forget everything you said in this video by the time I get pregnant myself 😂 but I just love to watch you and Fox and Kurt. You guys are the example of a family I’m hoping to have myself in future. I wish you all the best ❤️
I literally bought all of those exact products for my baby and have changed my mind about all of them! Had to use weights on the bassinet legs to tilt her upwards, switched to zip up sleep suits instead of muslin wraps, got a sound machine that was rechargeable and used towel nappies for birth cloths! 100% agree with this video 😁👍🏻
You are seriously glowing, you look stunning as always, I love watching these type of videos I cannot wait to have kids, so from this I learnt a lot for whenever me and my husband get blessed with one. Once I do fall pregnant I will be rewatching and taking notes haha
This video is so accurate! Couldn’t relate more to the sweater while breastfeeding 😂 Made me think though, I would LOVE for you to make a breastfeeding/postpartum fashion video! I am 6 months postpartum and breastfeeding and still struggling to find cute & affordable clothes that are practical and flattering!
Thanks for the shout out to those of us without kids. I like these videos as useful for baby shower planning for friends plus hoping to use knowledge when i become an auntie
Love trying to repurpose the breastfeeding pillow! Just a thought - the knot in the back will probably be uncomfortable when sitting in a chair/bed/etc. I used a 'my brest friend' nursing pillow with my son and loved it. It has adjustable straps that snap in place. I used to wear it right under my boobs and joked that it was my concession stand lol. Maybe altering your current pillow to be more in line with that design? Congrats on baby boy!
We used our Boppy as a pillow for us to sleep with after I was done using it for BF. I wasn’t crazy about it during my BFing journey but I LOVE it as a sleeping pillow for naps on the couch or whatever. Lol 😂
Truuuuuue good call! I’m really keen to repurpose as much as I can rather than buy new so maybe I’ll see if my mum can make it velcro instead of a tie!??
@@SarahsDay Yes the my Brest friend is soooo good! maybe do velcro coming off the body of the pillow on one side and a snap (side release buckles, I don't know what the proper term is) on the other, that's kind of how its set up. The snap/buckle is quiet if you need to get it off near baby while he is asleep.
I think every baby is so different, your little one might end up loving stuff that Fox didn’t. I personally couldn’t live without the jolly jumper it was the best thing I bought. If it comes to the swing, I got the mamaroo and my baby didn’t really like it and then my friend lent me one similar to yours and we used it for months.
Don't mind if it's a longer video where you go through every. single. product. - this was super helpful for me (not pregnant), but thinking about good and practical gifts for pregnant or mummy friends. Thanks Sarah! :)
Google homes are like 40$ and they have an option of “okay google play white noise” and it’ll work for hours without pauses. If you phrase it differently it’ll pull white noise from Spotify or TH-cam which have breaks or cut offs but the google home is nice cause when they get older you can use it for other things like playtime songs and they don’t take up room or have lights
I watch you and my kids are 19, 18,18, 13 and 11. Our bassinet for 13yr was on a stack of books 😂 and I used old fashioned cloth nappies as spew rags- she was my reflux Bub, 19yr fed every 2hrs and yes I fed her on the toilet. 18yr and 18yr. Well I breast fed 2. ‘Free the nip’ was always happening. 11yr was my last. I breast fed him the longest and I’d well and truly mastered the horizontal breast feed. He and I napped together a lot and it’s one of my most special memories. I wrapped him like a burrito and highly recommend GIANT muslins for that purpose. And twins born in 2003- all popper onesies 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I wished for zips. Great vid. Appeals even to a 46 year old.
This is so helpful for expecting mums! My friend (non mum) got me a firm breastfeeding pillow, that has a clip so it can go around your body. AMAZING! I’m glad I didn’t settle for a u pillow as others had suggested
Yesssss. Hate those muslin wraps. Stretchy soft cotton is amazing! Totally agree with getting a plug in white noise machine, so much better for the environment with no batteries!
That's funny you said you used to watch pregnancy videos when you were 19 because I'm 18 doing the exact same thing! I love your videos because I've always really looked forward to pregnancy and I think it's useful to know what to expect while you're young. Thanks!!
Co sleeper bassinet is amazing i had one :) can put the side up if you want it to function as a normal bassinet but the side comes down if you want to put it against the bed :)
NOT me crying when you started talking about being 19 and always have enjoyed learning and listening about motherhood because ME. Luv you girly I've been a fan since I was 14 and have loved watching you grow
Love you, sez.. went through fertility stuff earlier this year.. I should be with you in months, but wasn’t the time for me. I’m grateful for this video for when it all works out, so thank you for sharing. Continuing to pray for you guys. Much love.
I'm 28 and very VERY on the fence on whether or not I want to have kids for many reasons and watching TH-camrs I've been watching for a long time (like you Sarah!) Go through pregnancy and family life and share all the ups and downs really helps me figure out what I should/shouldn't do for myself. Thank you!
Sarah!! There are tons of nursing pillows that have clips in the back and they’re so helpful! I would say more helpful than something to tie because a clip is super sturdy and stays put. :)
All I will ever use and reccomend for mums with babies are those terry toweling nappies for burp cloths, those and muslin swaddles make good burp cloths
I hope baby does not spit up a lot. My girl spit up for the 8 months. Yes a towel was more practical than small burp cloths. I hope I can find a smallish but supportive pillow to hopefully breastfeed. Thank you for acknowledging that not everyone is able to breastfeed. I hope you continue to have a happy and healthy pregnancy!
I used cloth nappies for all my kids who are now in their 40s l passed them on for burp cloths and they are now being used by my great grandkids. Quite They last forever.
I have a newborn right now.. and I agree completely. The bottle you didn't like, I just bought 2 of and see how they'll be good for an older baby because they are squishy but not for a newborn. Loved this video!
You should look into a Next To Me baby bed!! It was a absolute life saver for us it’s exactly what you say you need and I had a similar birth to you. I still have ours 2 kids later even tho I don’t plan on anymore babes they are great if you babes poorly and you don’t feel comfortable with them being in your own bed.
We got muslin wraps from a small business called Halo and Horns (I think they’re bamboo cotton) and they are so so soft even after being thrown up on and washed a million times
I’m not sure if they ship to Australia but Solly Baby swaddles are so amazing! They have the perfect stretch and so so soft. I had one that I brought to the hospital and literally bought another while I was still in the hospital! My baby is 5 months old now and I still use them.
Thank you Sarah!! I love this video I’m 27 and absolutely desperate to have a baby 😫😫 hopefully soon though 🤞🏻🤞🏻 when it does eventually happen for me I’ll keep all of these wonderful tips in mind..
Yes girl! I breastfed my baby for the first time (of many) on the toilet when she was 1 day old and we were still in the hospital. The nurse walked in on me in all my glory. #motherhood
Not a mum yet but my partner and I will probably have a bub in the next few years. Have always loved anything baby, labour, girl related though so love these videos :)
Not a mom but I honestly just love hearing your voice and about your opinions. Make content you love because the light you give off when you do is far better than a video catered to one person's exact preference. You're amazing and your fans love you!
I'm looking forward to breastfeeding! At the moment I'm 33wk pregnant of my first baby it's so exciting! I would like to hear more about your breastfeeding journey with Fox and what would you do differently this time around with your second son. 😊🌱
The part you mentioned about how since you were younger you gravitated towards videos like these and how your videos are made for everyone no matter where they are in life… thank you bc that is speaking to me so much right now more than you know. ❤️
Lol! It was the same for me during my second pregnancy..all prego symptoms were heightened and appeared a lot sooner. And my belly was a lot bigger earlier too! You look fabulous by the way. 🥰
I'm so glad she acknowledged her viewers who aren't mums and or pregnant. That's meeeee. I'm 21 and honestly still very immature but I love watching these videos. Maybe I'm just nosey

Can we get a full an update on Kurts health?? Hoping he’s feeling a lot better now and healed his gut xx
I second that :) currently in the hospital with my own gut hell, so I really can sympathise, and I really really hope he is feeling a lot better ☺️ x

Would love to hear how he is. I have just been diagnosed with SIBO would like to hear how he is doing
Would also love to hear about Kurt’s SIBO journey. I have SIBO as well and am always interested in how people are healing
Was thinking this too but wanted to respect your privacy!
Would love to see a "baby names I love *but won't be using*" video! They're so fun to watch! So happy for you and Kurt

I love the idea of re-using products that weren’t for you by altering them or DIYing them!
Love this
Ftm here. We have never burped our baby over our shoulder. He has a pretty sensitive stomach and sitting him up on our knee, holding his chin, and patting his back or bouncing our knee, worked best. Highly recommend trying it! Best way for newborns too since it supports their neck. 🤍
I'm almost 32 weeks with my first and have loved going back and watching your videos pregnant with Fox and now with your second :)
I remember watching this video when I was not pregnant but now expecting our first this video just hits different. SOO Helpful!
I'm hoping to fall pregnant in the next 12-24 months. I'm loving this content! Can't wait to follow along your journey 💕
Thanks for making this so chill and not over stimulating. I can’t stand when peoples videos are so flashy and loud music going on. ✨🤗💕
I'm also 22wks and 3days and this video is so helpful thankyou 💓
Im 23 weeks pregnant with my first baby boy and this was super helpful! I watched all your pregnancy videos with Fox too, love you guys!
You are seriously glowing, you look stunning as always,
I love watching these type of videos I cannot wait to have kids, so from this I learnt a lot for whenever me and my husband get blessed with one.
I second this 😄
Thanks for the shout out to those of us without kids.
So true! I was also thinking it might be annoying to have to tie that on every time because when the baby is screaming...😂
We used our Boppy as a pillow for us to sleep with after I was done using it for BF. I wasn’t crazy about it during my BFing journey but I LOVE it as a sleeping pillow for naps on the couch or whatever. Lol 😂
@@victoriab1544 hey that’s smart! Haha
Love all the bub content I'm 15 weeks pregnant so love all things baby related. Your glowing ❤❤
The outro to this video just reiterated to me how much I love Sarah, her family and her content🤍
I would recommend the Breastfriend nursing pillow. It velcros around your body to stay up. I used it for the first few weeks and loved it.
A whole breastfeeding-friendly outfits video would be amazing!
I second this! I'm currently breastfeeding and it is a struggle getting dressed some days
Loved this!! I am 23 weeks as well and this is my first super helpful thanks so much!
I’m mum to a 5 month old, watched SO many of these and still bought everything haha…..photos of newborn fox, so cuuuute
This is so helpful for expecting mums! My friend (non mum) got me a firm breastfeeding pillow, that has a clip so it can go around your body. AMAZING! I’m glad I didn’t settle for a u pillow as others had suggested
Hey that’s so smart!! I didn’t even think about ones that have clips!
I’m 12 weeks pregnant and this was so helpful! I love all the content you create! I love you Sarah!
great tip on the skin care we use when breastfeeding! i’m in my first time pregnancy and would’ve never thought of that.
Much love.
Yes the terry towel nappies are great as spew cloths! We make sure there is one in most places around the house and car!
Watching this 23 weeks pregnant second baby and I was just thinking...absolutely agree!! Practicality second time around!! Looking fab lady!
Ooooo fun!! We are so close! Your due date would be like a week before me!
All I will ever use and reccomend for mums with babies are those terry toweling nappies for burp cloths, those and muslin swaddles make good burp cloths
I am 15 weeks pregnant and SO KEEN for all the pregnancy content Sarah!! :)
Check out the SnuzPod bassinet. Also a co-sleeper with sides that go down, and also has a reflux tilt. Portable too!
I used those big w “nappy” white towel burp cloths with all 4 of my babies! My mum also told me to get these!
I literally went and changed to those on my registry after hearing this. I feel like all babies vomit so much haha
Agree! So glad she said these, so practical
Thank you!!! I am 13 weeks pregnant and this helps a lot!! :)
Almost 22 weeks pregnant and this was really helpful! Looking forward to more tips and videos ! Subscribed :)
We got muslin wraps from a small business called Halo and Horns (I think they’re bamboo cotton) and they are so so soft even after being thrown up on and washed a million times
Love u Sarah I’m pregnant at 27 week and I appreciate your information . Absolutely will follow it . Best regards
Omg YES! the Terry towling reusable nappies for burp cloth/spew rag are my #1 baby product 👌
Do a part 2! I love hearing all your tips and tricks
Can you please share which Prenatal vitamins you drink during pregnancy?
#motherhood
Thansk for sharing! Can't wait for the newborn essentials video as I'm 7 months preggy. 💕
The terry cloth nappies are the absolute best. My mother in law suggested them and I have like 20 of them, I love them.
Omgg yay I just starting binge watching your channel, and catching up, and now here's a new video!!! I find your videos really relaxing. Thank you! :)
Not a mum yet but my partner and I will probably have a bub in the next few years. Have always loved anything baby, labour, girl related though so love these videos :)
Snuzpod is amazing! Just what you are looking for. It also rocked automatically if baby starts moving
Not a mom but I honestly just love hearing your voice and about your opinions. Make content you love because the light you give off when you do is far better than a video catered to one person's exact preference. You're amazing and your fans love you!
Awww thank you 💛💛💛
I'm looking forward to breastfeeding! At the moment I'm 33wk pregnant of my first baby it's so exciting! I would like to hear more about your breastfeeding journey with Fox and what would you do differently this time around with your second son. 😊🌱
Thank you so much for including us who are not mothers or currently pregnant. It made me feel so welcomed and cared about. You're the best, Sarah!
The part you mentioned about how since you were younger you gravitated towards videos like these and how your videos are made for everyone no matter where they are in life… thank you bc that is speaking to me so much right now more than you know. ❤️
absolutely loved this video and can’t wait for your newborn essentials video, I feel so lucky to be 4 months pregnant so all this advice is so great 💜
Must ask again…. Where is that green flannel from!? SO GOOD!
I’m 22 and at the very least I think I’m 3 years away from babies but I’ve been here since pre-Kurt and I CANNOT get enough of the baby content STILL
Lol! It was the same for me during my second pregnancy..all prego symptoms were heightened and appeared a lot sooner. And my belly was a lot bigger earlier too! You look fabulous by the way. 🥰
