    Nothing like the sound of that deep growl of a jet engine gives more chills down my spine not even a V8 engine. I always get super excited when flying mostly because of the force you feel when the engines just push you back but also the feeling of the plane going down the runway really fast and rattling sounds and that beautiful engine growl. Man i need to fly somewhere just to get that feeling again.

    At 2:50, when the compressor is starting to spool up, it’s a lovely sound! The drone of the engines as the ship wheels away from the concourse relaxes me so much that my eyes start to get heavy and I begin to nod off. Love it!

      So, That's the fuel in the engine igniting. its a brilliant sound. If you want to see more of that kind of sound, look up AgentJayZ, and some of his engine tests. He runs those engines open and they sound beautiful.

    • @revaholic
      @revaholic 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately I have to disagree there...that is my least favourite part of the 777 experiences, when the engines start up they make an unpleasant buzz that sounds like something is broken and shakes the whole plane...I find it quite disruptive!

      @Super-225 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      These engines put out 120,000 lbs of thrust per engine. GE 90's hold the world record for the most powerful jet engine while the other big ones range from 80,000 - 90,000 lbs. They're absolute monsters!!

    • @sunking2001
      @sunking2001 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Really? How are they compared to in different sizes? Is there any rating for "thrust and diameter" of the engine opening? Could a smaller engine be more powerful per engine diameter and length...or is it all about "thrust"...no matter how big the opening and length is?

    • @Super-225
      @Super-225 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Actually I would suppose a smaller engine can be as powerful but GE 90 is the biggest. The fan measures at 123 inches or 310cm. The GE 90 - 115b fan meaures at 128 inches and has 127,900 lbs of thrust per engine. So yeah, as it still stands today, GE holds the biggest and most powerful jet engine. Kinda cool huh? 👍Generally though, the bigger engines will produce the most thrust. In a turbo fan jet engine, most of ypur thrust comes from the fan anyway, not so much from the combustion. So I guess you could say, the bigger the fan, the bigger the thrust.

    • @Super-225
      @Super-225 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I hope that answered your question. ✌

    • @sunking2001
      @sunking2001 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info. I guess I was comparing "amount of thrust per...?" Sort of in auto engines..."horsepower per cubic inch"..."horsepower per pound"...etc. I was also thinking about the SR-71 Blackbird had super-powerful engines. I'm sure they were nowhere near the size of those GE engines. I'm also thinking of rocket engines and the thrust they can generate. Ever time I fly I like to look out of the window during takeoff and watch and listen to that engine "pump out all that power." Amazing!

    • @tomasdererste
      @tomasdererste 6 ปีที่แล้ว +45

      I don't think so. The aircraft just passed the "thrust reduction altitude." It was probably very light on the take-off, so the engines were derated a lot. Meaning the climb thrust setting was actually higher than take-off thrust. So instead of reducing the thrust, it slightly increased. Pilot did nothing. It's all done by A/T - the auto throttle.
      777 has 3 fixed T/O thrust settings, assumed temperature method or a combination of both. Depends on the airline, what it chooses. Then there are 3 fixed climb thrust settings - CLB, CLB-1 and CLB-2. The later two are derated options to save engine wear and increase it's lifetime.

    This was ALL done, in its entirety, by the human animal. We are endless in our abilities and possibilities - God-given gifts and talents. This is the redult of hard work initiative and talent. Defying gravity with a beautiful machine that is able to go high and far instantaneously. Also, perfect filming of this, and other similsr events, and informative information to support it all.
    Only one tragedy is that there are people choose to throw in the towel, or worse, just expect everything on a Silver plate. We can do anything we please, so let's do it right. Thank you sir, job well done!

    Nice video - A humble suggestion to many who post such videos here: Please do not record the taxi part for too long. The first boarding part and the taxi part can be a 1-2 mins as people (or enthusiasts) want to see what happens starting from the beginning of the runway at take-off. And of course the climb part...
