I’ve been a slardar spammer since forever ago, and I still think maxing his bash early worked a lot better for farming and getting kills in lane. The only thing I’d debate is maxing Sprint vs Crush. I feel like after shard, Crush becomes a lot better, but before that its mainly just for the stun and nothing else.
Bash maxing actually ives less dmg than W and yes I know that you can get 2 bashes in one fight, however if you manage to W 2 people you would need to bashes for same dmg which is quite impossible because they will already die at this point or they will retreat to tower. Also, maxing W makes slow stronger so you also have more time to attack enemy
It’s more the constant mana consumption that makes maxing crush hard to justify sometimes. 1-2-2-1 then max W is the best imo for a balanced lane (near master rank slardar here)
@krzysztofputerko1943 until you have bkb or aghs i dont think you want to try fighting multiple people anyway. Playing him in any core role i max bash with a value point in W at lvl2 and then max sprint. W is too costly to be spamming it for damage but it helps secure kills after ive harassed a bit with bash.
@@krzysztofputerko1943 consider how long you will be in lane vs when you plan to participate in teamfights. I've consistently been able to shutdown the enemy safelane carry with max bash. After you get treads, lvl 3/4 bash almost allows you to guarantee a kill on any poorly positioned hero. Crushing 2 people isn't the focus, immediately destroying 1 target is. That's why until you get shard, max bash feels 100x better. It's not like i've not tried maxing stun, it just almost always feels a lot worse too
this is the way. and KnS also a good touch on this hero. BKB can't prevent the physical dmg. But still he is going to get some buffs from the fact he was unpicked in TI

He was strong ever since he got the last buff and got untouched, the only hero with 2 stun abilities (not disable) with low cool-down, bash even pierces bkb, has sustain, can chase and has great mobility
Perma stun build has always just been average on this hero. You need to farm so many items yet still be flimsy as paper. You absolutely need BKB in this build. No BKB, can't hit, all the attack items are worth 0 gold if you just die without hitting anyone. Not to mention that the enemies can just focus physical attacks on you while you have BKB active and you would still die because you have no health.
0:30 it would be better if you could let this screen stay a bit longer , add 5 more sec 🤔 . And those screen later when you explaining sladar skills . Screen change too fast I have to play back and pause a few times to get what you mean. Lol .

But, They have no thinking about we are not only playing with laser and rocket. Because this patch gives me many changes for playing with 4 pattern different combo like new shiva added veil of discord, EB added aether lens combined with Dagon, and additonal magic dmg from wa "Khanda" forever ...
Yeah even with op skill, its not guaranteed for team to instapick it. Since there are so many combos in every meta. Especially for competitive play. They will analyze every patch carefully. Thats why i love dota. Everything is possible and it works.
After returning back to the game after years of break, I've realized that dota is not actually dying but rather it is killing its players. The gradual shift on meta is too much specially in rank since more people even in the lowest rank understood the meta of the game. I didn't notice it since I mostly play ability draft not ranked games, and when I try to play rank, it is super hard to use outdated heroes. Another thing is the people who is genuinely good at the game but can't get ranked up or players who keep smurfing on lower ranks. Imagine calibrating with guardian/crusader rank and guardian ranked players know how to execute play, use smoke, counter items, ganks etc.
I have a feeling this only works for players who are actually good at dota. I've met many of this type of sladar in my trash rank and they all suck eggs. Also for western audience, DTL's name there Laosai King = Diarhhea king
he needs to be close to you to deal damage, so maybe use slow dps hero like ogre or venom DK can also matchup against slardar. high armor & regen, can sustain lane, can push and kite slardar easily with dragon form slardar is very weak to kiting
carry picks: Basically any ranged carry who have abilities to kite slardar like Drow ranger. Also Chaos knight beats slardar in lane iif he gets lucky with crits. support pick: basically anything which allows your carry to kite even harder so Lion/Shadow shaman/treant. Not to mention that you can go full lane domination with Undying and just fck slardar with decays and tombstone. Slardar is a snowball reliant hero, he doesn't have any way to deal dmg from ranged distance so he needs to be tanky enough to survive jumping into enemy team. Meanwhile he also cannpt go full tank build(like Axe for example) because he needs some attacks speed to dish out dmg for auto attack build or scepter and mana for builkd shown in the video. This means that if he doesn't get fed early on, he won't have enough lvl edvantage to be tanky enough ti survive jumping into enemy. You don't even need to kill him in lane since every pos 1 outscales him. Just deny him creeps more than he denies yours.
Not the strongest, I hate it when something a hero catches attention will be called strongest only to be nerfed next patch. Slardar can easily be countered with good team line up.
I mean, he did provide that slardar got the highest winrate. Thats enough for a basic surface level statement that the hero is the strongest. If you want to go deeper of course many things contribute to a hero being the strongest but why would you look for that in a youtube content?

Just yesterday I built Arcane Dagger + Octarine. You can slowly melt 6 slotted Spectre and hunt slippery heroes like Qop & Tinker with ease
