    Our solar and tesla power wall is finally installed this week. Like he said, you have to be patient. From the initial quote, it took us 10 months to get up and running. But soo worth the wait, we love it so much!

    I installed Tesla solar in May 2022. Tesla did an in home inspection and gave me a quote which was later revised because of HOA requirements for in attic conduit installation. On the day of installation, I was asked to pay an extra $2000 for installation. As usual Tesla communication is always an issue. Even till this day, I have not yetreceived my $300 referral credit. I love Tesla and I like driving one everyday. I even own their stock. If you ask me, they have a long way to go. We shall see how things go down the road.

      I had the Solar roof installed with a powerwall in July of '21 and it was just powered on the 5th of August '22. Tesla almost never initiated communication over that 1+ year.

      @@LILK0NAI would like to know if you started paying your loan if you financed it during that one year wait time or only when the system was officially approved and switched on.

    Hey Dave - you are really racking up these videos! Nice topic! Would have liked to address ed the risks of solar on an existing roof, perhaps next time.

    Great content Dave. I am looking at building a small off grid system....sure wish Tesla would activate Vehicle to Load! Cheers!

    He is primarily using his batteries as grid backup as the net metering he receives is 1:1, so best to send energy to grid for use later at night or for winter when production from solar is limited. If he had worse terms for net metering, would be beneficial to self-consume the solar energy by storing energy as much as possible.

    I live on Long Island and found this video quite informative. I am considering getting solar panels and I wonder if they will be cheaper when the new Inflation Reduction Bill is signed.

    This is a beautiful system. I like the pipes not on the walls. Very nice! I've been waiting for my system for 2 years now and everyone keeps asking why not go with someone else? Well I've had titan solar and powerhome solar "pink energy" come out to the house and we'll I'll let you Google what's happened with those 2 companies in the past 12 months lol. So I'm patiently waiting lol I can't believe how nice that came out! Thanks for showing!

    Not sure that is correct, is he drawing from the grid or the battery at night. He should be drawing from the battery only.

    I dont like how Tesla does their solar pricing. Your electric company is supposed to pay .90 per KW that your system produces (may differ by state). In my particular set up, that was around 1800 year. Tesla takes that forever. So while they offer 10 year finance, the system should last 20-25 years. Which means they are taking an additional 18 to 25K over the life of the system. Make sure you factor this in. Tesla offers a less expensive up front cost, but when you amartize it over the life of the system, the pricing looks much less different.

    • @jcortez3836
      @jcortez3836 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That must be unique to your state/power provider. Tesla gets no extra revenue from my system. All extra power I generate is banked with the power provider and given back to me as bill creditss.

    Ian Wright was the third employee, joining a few months later.[2] The three went looking for venture capital (VC) funding in January 2004[2] and connected with Elon Musk, who contributed US$6.5 million of the initial (Series A) US$7.5 million[9] round of investment in February 2004 and became chairman of the board of directors.[2] Musk then appointed Eberhard as the CEO.[10] J.B. Straubel joined in May 2004[2] as the fifth employee.[11] A lawsuit settlement agreed to by Eberhard and Tesla in September 2009 allows all five (Eberhard, Tarpenning, Wright, Musk and Straubel) to call themselves co-founders.[12]
