Now I live in a new town with a big group that plays at the Hobby Town 5 minutes from my house. It’s awesome, but having all your videos to fall back on has been so helpful. I’ve started using them in tandem with Dark Reapers very successfully. Turns out dropping chaff units and marking targets for their buddies on a very cheap unit is very strong!
I love how shroudrunners came to be. Those who remember the 7th, could have been 8th ed, digital codex had windriders with sniper rifles on their data sheet. Hilarious typo that made it into the game later on.
I actually have 9 of theese guys as i thought the max unit size would be increased to 10 in this edition. With the rule changes and fast atack restrictions being removed i will be running 3 squads of 3 frequently now.... this chanel has helped with my list building and synergy stacking so much... thanks proxy 🤜🤛
@ProxyHammer1 I could see my windriders getting up a ruin 9 man squad of shuriken cannons now getting ap-2 sustained hits, lethal hits and decimating anything they shoot at. All leading from an 80 point squad that I have 3 of. Not to mention the guide i could use from the farseer leading the unit. Wow. ☠️💰🏴☠️
@ProxyHammer1 hold the phone.... I just discovered what bladestorm would mean in conjunction with this.... would that make the lethal hits auto ap-4 or ap-3 respectively (if I couldn't incorporate plunging fire) would that make the lethal hits auto crits? Or do I only get the 6's from rolling to wound as crits? Because if the 6's auto wound... then I miss out on a bunch of dice for ap-4 or ap-3.
I love these guys. I actually started my Eldar collection with that eldar vs chaos box. So theyre one of my first eldar models :) They always did work for me
Tried running these with 2x night spinners and a unit of dark reapers to experiment with what it would be like as a platform for launching the yncarne. It… launches. They basically debuff something before picking up the trash unit you were going to shoot your indirect at. Ranger long rifles always seem to shock me as to how good they are as well.
Definitely looking forward to trying these again, I've been running through my other armies with the start of the edition, but that lethal hits mark is great. For some reason people I play against just hate rangers, on bikes or no, and target them first; I once had a player point every gun on a stormwolf at 5 rangers.
I loved these things in 9th Ed and now I’m curious about them in 10th Ed…. But I’m curious…. If a trio of shroud runners mark a target at 12”, do THEY THEMSELVES get “Lethal Hits”? It would make sense to me if they do, but 9th edition “weirdness” is making me wonder about that…
@@ProxyHammer1 ah i just realized hawks have inherent lethal hits. Theorectically the shroud runner buff should be so good but it awkwardly overlaps with too many units sadly. I wish it would further improve units that already have lethal hits to an additional result on the die. A lethal hits on a 6+ affected by the SR buff works on a 5+.
@@keyanklupacs6333 I agree! However it absolutely slaps with certain units that have a lot of shots and no lethal hits (windriders, shadow Spectres dark reapers etc..)
2 three man units to have launch into the endzone of your opponent is a really good idea. Having another unit to slap lethal hits on two things in 1 round, or sacrifice one early and save one for later is pretty sweetl

@@jarrodhill9149 unfortunately lethal hits can never be crits 😢 it’s still a bunch of attacks though so Bladestorm is still great!

Fair nerf. Now there is some Counterplay to get around their shoot back mechanic which I’m always in favor of
